New Cruise Planner Sale

The Deluxe Beverage Package on my November Liberty sailing has been tracking between $51 and 55 recently. This evening it dropped to $41. DBP + internet is $49. Refreshment is $19. Digital Photo Pkg is $119.99. With the exception of the photo package, which is the same as Black Friday pricing, these are the lowest prices I've seen in some time. All the prices for my January cruise are the same high price they have been though.

My Liberty sailing (6 Sept) has also gone down. No change in UDP but drinks and internet are down. Yippee !

Symphony Thanksgiving is at $49 for deluxe drink package.. I haven't seen $49 for Symphony for over a year.

We are sailing the same week on the Harmony and the price was $49 also.

Thank you!! A few other things seem to be marked down on the Anthem NYE cruise, but I finally pulled the trigger on VOOM for myself (kiddos already have it thanks to the intern sale last year).

Earlier sailings have not reduced in price (June & July) but our November cruise pricing for Beverage and Shore excursions have started dropping to "normal" pricing again. Signs they think we will be opening up.

Our Christmas Ovation has dropped to AUD 72 (about USD 45). 

Would love to buy at that price, however we are yet to receive refunds on Cruise Planner purchases for our March Radiance sailing that was cancelled. 
 

The money we are waiting on is money that we class as "already spent", but we won't be giving them any extra money until we see some refunds.

BTW, most of the Voom pricing also dropped for our sailing as well as the beverage pricing.

Many are also noting the ability for just one person in the stateroom to be able to purchase the DBP at this time (this was an option for me on both Odyssey sailings).

My Thanksgiving Mariner now has DBP for $52, down from $69...but Thrill water park went from $59/pp to $82/pp

Anthem Christmas cruise dropped from $78.47 CAD to $67.83 CAD (which makes it $47.66 USD).  Still adds up for an 8 night cruise but much better than our Harmony Mar 2021 at $118.37 CAD (or $83 USD).  Pretty crazy to see the difference sailing to sailing.

DBP was $65 and yesterday $54. This is on Harmony New Years cruise! The 2 cabins also dropped $20 each. Just a reminder to check all fares when calling!

My October Symphony dropped to $49 DBP. I want to book it but I haven’t gotten my 125% OBC for my cancelled cruise. I’m sure by the time I get it (around April 30) the price will go back up.  

Pretty sure this sale is to get a flush of cash for RC. The massive delay in refunds shows to me they don’t have the money. Run a great sale=generate much needed cash.

Thanks for posting.  I looked yesterday and the Drink pkg was still $55/day (and purchased it at $51/day); however, this morning it is $41/day day!  I saved $212.40!  That is a wonderful start to my day!!!  Now, I just hope my October 8th New England cruise will still be happening.... 170 Days to go!

Dropped to $65 CAD or about $45USD day for my Odyssey cruise..but I am not sure I want to drop almost $1000 yet on a cruise that may not happen.....may regret not booking at this price as its down about 25% but..

My thinking too...a way to get some cash now.  Good for everyone then....and just hope this all clears up and things get back to normal including cruising.

Wouldn't you know it...i was fortunate to get the intern rate for our Sept sailing, just look at what the price is on a 10 night cruise. If i didn't have such a bargain..that price would be a lot higher that what is listed as now.

Wish I had that on our November cruise, wife has free drinks in the casino and I am on my own. Still states that all adults in the cabin have to purchase the package. Would be great if I could purchase individually.

Thanks to @SpeedNoodles I'll be continuing my Quarantine alcohol edition - was able to justify my Odyssey B2B with drink packages for both. I do happen to drink a ton of coffee and water so it won't be just alcoholic drinks.

The prices went down on our Oasis of the Seas sailing this December too. Excursions have not yet. In fact they've gone up since we first started checking earlier this year. Here's hoping they will go back down to at least where they once were.

I appreciate the heads up. On my Oasis Dec 2020 cruise the Beverage package went down to $44/day (was $59). I of course grabbed that deal!

We are hoping to book on oasis in dec but my husband wants to wait till cruising resumes at least. Too bad....would have loved to take advantage of this sale!

Prices are good now. Makes sense to book as long as you make sure your deposit is refundable.

I just cancelled and rebooked several drink and internet packages.  This is the first time i've been able to take advantage of a sale like this.  How long does it usually take to see the refunds for the cancelled packages to show up?

Under normal circumstances, you would see your refund within 48-72 hours but I really have no idea how long it's liable to take now.  Since I suspect that this sale is designed to generate cash for Royal, it would seem logical that they would hold onto your original purchase as long as they possibly can.  I just don't know how long that could be.  I wouldn't look for your refund quickly, like it used to be.  I hope I'm wrong !!  I also made numerous cancellations and repurchases last night.  It would be nice to get the money quickly but I'm not going to count on it.

Wow! It auto selected both adults when I cancelled and repurchased. We both wanted it, so I didn't even think of trying to unselect one of us. I know a lot of people will be happy if that option sticks around!

RC has enough of my money that I'll never see again. Regardless, the drink package is still $89 a day.

This was my thought as well..this sale will generate some short-term immediate cash.  I think the return policy always stated it could take up to 30 days to see the refund of a cruise planner purchase, even before the current situation.  However it never took that long for me in the past.

As others. Oasis September cruise is now $44 it was $59 I think at 20% and Harmony December cruise is $49 it was $65 at 20%. Looks like I'll be spending a bunch of money today.

We are both getting it, but for fun I tried and it will not let me unselect one of the guests (for both sailings booked - September & December). Maybe a glitch with a particular sailing or group of sailings?

So I just purchased and I have a minor in my cabin.  I was able to just select myself.   I believe in the past if you had a child in the room it would force the child to get a refreshment or soda package, but not this time.

No, the alcohol package does not require a refreshment package for a minor. We've bought our alcohol packages on one sale and waited for the next sale to buy the kids drink packages. However, if one person gets the alcohol package, all adults in the cabin must purchase it. If you call you may be able to get an exemption to that, but they make the second adult buy the refreshment package instead.

Snagged the beverage package for my Thanksgiving cruise on Liberty for $41/day. Barring another $18 glitch, I'm thinking that's about as good as its going to get.

For some reason on our Serenade cruise in August the Deluxe package came down to about $45 but the refreshment package didn't move at all in price, still $26! Frustrating since we don't drink much alcohol. I've been waiting for the refreshment to drop to $19 but it never seems to change with any sale for this cruise
