JBC 113
I am going to Coco Cay this February on Anthem, right now in my cruise planner the water park is $139 per person. I bought it a while back for $73.99 and I had a hard time swallowing that. Mariner will also be there the same day as us, so maybe that is why? Either way, that is crazy. Looking around the cruise planner, everything is more expensive now, no sale banners on anything. I thankfully made the last of my purchases on black friday, beverage and internet packages are all significantly higher now. Well, except for arcade credits. Those are still 20% off USCG Teacher

Branderson610 56
Yes, the 131.99 is just for one person. I want to buy 3 tickets but haven't yet. I guess I should have bought it on Black Friday when it was $79.99. WannaCruise

Those are still 20% off We bought our Anthem waterpark tickets for $74 (CAD), but that was the half day park tickets....full day at the time was $105 CAD. Hoping our half day gets converted to full day since it no longer exists, and that is much better than $150 CAD which is the going rate. On Mariner, which has 2 stops at CoCo Cay, we grabbed the 2 day pass for $105 when they first introduced it, and a couple weeks later they raised it to $198 CAD. So best to book early and watch prices (although it often only goes up). As mentioned in my post, we won't be purchasing the waterpark tickets for our Harmony cruise. It's hit our limit of what we'll spend. Glad we have a few other cruises that stop at CoCo Cay (as long as they don't get cancelled as well, like our Navigator cruise did due to Dorian...lol). PS - Just watch prices. Often those sale banners end up giving the same price. It's all marketing.

If so, $139 USD is around $182 CAD (with our Anthem being the most at $150 CAD). Pretty insane...especially when you are usually purchasing more than 1 ticket, and kids need an adult to have a ticket as well (don't remember the age limit offhand for being allowed to go alone) Tanner and USCG Teacher
Royal Cruiser 46
Right now Independence is 89 per person for May 2020 Oasis is also showing 89 per person for December 2020 Which I feel is still high because I paid 50 per person back in September 2019 I love the water park but the Oasis Lagoon is fun also..... and free. Jill 922
Just a tip on the water park: we’re in our 50’s in excellent shape. The stairs on the tower about did me in! Lol The highest one really beats you up. We paid $49 for our Mariner cruise last October to test it out before buying at $79/$89 for our Symphony cruise in May. Bottom line, the slides can be pretty intense. I don’t care to do it again. Glad I only paid $49 to find that out. Royal Cruiser and IRMO12HD
Hutcherl 85
$139 here too. August 2020 Independence. Can’t imagine many passes are being sold at this price. It’ll come back down to earth. Just have to closely monitor the cruise planner. USCG Teacher
Biff215 55
It’s dynamic pricing all based on supply and demand, hence why Oasis-class ships tend to have the highest prices. Think about it. If the price was more reasonable the park would be packed and perhaps sell out, making no one happy. I don’t like the pricing either, but it just makes it easier for me to say no and enjoy a free chair on the beach. That’s my perfect day! Hoski 370
Water Park tickets for our January 4th cruise on Grandeur are currently 29.99. Maybe because of the cold weather? WannaCruise
TJ! 170
I'm sailing on symphony of the seas next week in January for the new years and water park price is $95 USD per person.
twangster 26,742
I had booked a combo zip-line and water park for $63 but then hurricane Dorian caused us to divert. I had the balloon ride for $29. At these rates I'll never get to try the water park, balloon or the zip line. Thank goodness so much of of CocoCay is included.

Same with us in pricing...but just the waterpark tickets. We had it booked at a great price on Navigator but we skipped CoCo Cay due to Dorian. I guess i should note in my original post that we always travel at our March break or end of summer, so our prices are high to begin with, but we will never get to book it again at the Navigator price. Too bad you had a great opportunity to try the balloon or zip line but those too have gone way up, so I hear you.
WannaCruise 933
@USCG Teacher clever marketing? The new price of $79 looks like an amazing deal compared to the $139. It's like when they offer KSF. I notice they often raise the price right before they offer it. USCG Teacher

Thank you @Jill - we paid $79 onboard at Thanksgiving and I have to say it was OK for a bit but the stairs are killer and really after you ride the slides a few times we were done. Not worth the money for us really. Forget about the cabanas. As far as I am concerned RCL has out priced itself already on them. Jill
whenismynextcruise 154
Just for comparison sake I looked at WaterCountry for the price of admission. $62.99 for a day. That is an entire waterpark. I realize that ECL will continue to charge what the consumer will pay but I thought it worth pointing out. WannaCruise
STB7481 2
My first visit was on Harmony in June 2019. There were 6 of us, my wife and kids plus my parents. We splurged for a Oasis Pool Cabana and it was $499. We used our onboard credit to cover some of it. It was a great hangout spot, but not sure I’d pay again. I did purchase two water park tickets for me and my son, they were $74.99 each. We went down the big slide after almost a 2 hour wait. We got there about 30-45 min after docking. After that we went to the Cabana and never came back. It was my fault for not going back later and doing some of the other slides, but my son got busy with other activities. This is my worry...and for us, we're going at our kids March Break and ship will be packed with kids. Sounds like you even got to the water park early.

Again, we should have gone back and done more things. He got busy with the pool, lunch, and then the beach. We had a great time don’t get me wrong, but I certainly didn’t get my money’s worth on the water park. WannaCruise
jticarruthers 954
Had the good luck to have three cruises on Mariner in may/june and got to enjoy the new cococay before the pricing went nuts. Went back in november and after picking up my jaw looking at all the prices, just sat at the pool for free(mostly because i couldnt find my favorite beach through all the construction). If/when we go back again that would definitely be my plan, the zipline and waterpark were both nice but neither one is worth the prices being asked.

I'll stick to what's free and leave the rest to the elite that don't mind shelling out big bucks. I am not elite. We paid budgeted for this experience and enjoyed our day and the kids had a great time at the wave pool and slides. I find $465 for Deluxe Beverage Packet a ridiculous amount of money for one person, but a lot of people were paying that on our cruise. Do you consider them elite too?
