The survey asking if we will pay money for Sorentos made me think why to stop there. Here some more creative ideas for RCL:

Weight the plates in the WJ and pay by the pound.

Want Emuster ? Pay extra otherwise you are back to the regular crowded muster.

All cabin doors to be removed , want privacy ? It's extra, diamonds will get free transparent shower  curtains,  D+ will get free transparent door and pineapples will get a real door but without a latch.

Quest challenge lidt can be purchased the day before , same for Love and Marriage.

Tender boat tickets will cost money,  people will be able to swim to port for free.

For dinner time you can choose between 5 to 5:15 PM , want another slot ? It's extra.

Extra charge the comedy show if you don't want to be the star of the show.

Jacuzzi will be coin operated,  the good news, you can use your key to charge it to you room.

The flowrider will still be free you just need to pay if you want it filed with water.

At the end of the cruise at the exit you will need to be weight , every extra pound you gain during the cruise will be charged.

Charge 4500$ for a 7 hour use of the over the water cabanas , oh wait ...

I'd be happy paying extra for elevators that didn't have the 3 cars nearest to my floor just sit there and play solitaire while the car furthest away does all the work.

Not only will windjammer be weighed by the plate but it will be self checkout. Enter the number of napkins you need on the kiosk, as well as number of water glasses. Reserve a table by the window for an up charge.

For the rooms they will drop bed linens off at the door, guests will need to make their bed. Full service will be an up charge.

Sorrento’s will be an up charge, first toss your own pizza, put it in the oven, weigh and pay. You can bypass this hassle with the pizza package.

Pool chairs will cost extra, using the dynamic pricing model. As more guests book chairs the price will rise based on demand until the last chair is $3,000 per day.

Coco Cay will use the European model of charging for bathroom use. The paper towel dispenser will be coin operated.

I’ve stayed in cabins that didn’t have the cooler,  I’d have gladly paid for one.  And I’ve stayed in cabins where the cabin was colder than the cooler, would they charge less?🤣

$1 for each minute with Guest Services=roughly $15 to lodge a complaint!

Are these real ideas ( honest questions as some of them it is hard to tell the e-muster and tender boats mostly.

The only thing I have not seen in the list so far is an upcharge for playing in the Casino. Oh wait... they already take all my money.

Considering the rules and paytables in Casino Royale, there's already a charge for playing aboard versus a land casino.

Isn't there an airline that charges for using the bathroom? That's an idea, each time you want to use the bathroom you have to see the room attendant and pony up a buck and he will give you a key to your bathroom.

I believe this was Ryanair! Not sure if it stll happens but I'm sure it was £1

$5 per complaint sent by e-mail.

$5 per complaint made in person onboard.

$5 per minute for those parties of 10 or more wanting to take 2 dozen pictures on the grand staircase.

$5 per item confiscated during boarding including, but not limited to, hair dryers, extension cords, huge box fans.

$5 per minute for pool chair claim while the person is not at the pool.

$5 per minute for anyone boarding late during port stays.

Ryanair does not charge to go to the bathroom.  They once "considered" it but it never got past that.

Thanks for clarifying that 👍

I Never fly Ryanair, i just remember all the news articles in relation to them planning on charging £1 to take a leak!

Obviously they never went ahead with it due to the bad press they got.

RyanAir is the Spirit of Europe. They charged for basic boarding documents. However, I once flew with them round-trip with bags and all that priority jazz for like $71.

There's no doubt you can grab a bargain flying Ryanair!

I have saw prices from UK to Europe being advertised for as little as £9 one way. If you are flexible with dates and travel light then you can bag a really cheap return.

My daughter flies with them and Easyjet often and has never had any issue's.

Have we covered emergency evacuations yet? Extra wide seating, guaranteed to be adjacent to your next of kin on the lifeboats for a nominal fee. Better yet, loft suites on lifeboats that include Fiji Water and a Genie to ensure a seemless lifeboat experience?

Maybe swimmies are free. Life jackets extra?

With my luck I'd opt for the adjacent to kin lifeboat option and then have to stand in line at lifeboat guest services when they don't put us together.  I'll come here and rant when they try to soothe me with $50 OLBC (On Life Boat Credit).

In all honesty, I get the need to make money.  Doing so by reducing quality, however, is not the way to go.

I agree, the easiest thing to do and make me people say great things about your cruise/cruise line is "the food was fantastic". Don't cut corners on that. It's why a lot people go on cruises and they will know if it's bad and crappy and corners were cut.
