Well now we know what is to come for Diamond members

@tonyfsu21I wore a name tag for years while working as a waitress. There is no way being retired I would ever wear one to show off my status, not that I will ever reach that level. We have been on one President's Cruise and never will again. The higher level loyalty level were so obnoxious and there were so many in scooters on the cruise. One lady just simply ran over my husbands foot without a concern at all. Another lady jumped on her scooter to find her battery dead so she just took another one since the rentals are all keyed alike. Symphony was a beautiful ship and we loved the ship. -

Yep, just like everyone on here said. They double the points, too many in the higher levels so let's piss off those lowly "only" Diamond level cruisers. Really glad that we are trying out Celebrity next month because we just made Diamond this year. This new rule will probably move over to Celebrity but for right now no changes...maybe, we'll see. -

I wish RC could see what cruisers put as their top 5. The one common theme is a few of the larger ships are popular but cruisers really like the smaller ships. I know that they want to pack the people onboard but would like them to come out with a new one for Voyager or Freedom class. That seems for us to be a nice balance of size and being able to not have to make reservations for the shows.

In no order: Wonder, Freedom, Symphony, Adventure, Empress (best food but the ship was thankfully put out of its misery)

You can also get it in cash if you don't want to spend it on the ship. While at the casino you transfer it to your account spend it or go cash out and take the cash home. If you don't want the cash directly then you can spend it anywhere on the ship as the credit will show on your account. If you haven't prepaid your gratuities it could also go towards you final bill and cover those. You can keep a track of your account on the TV in your room or on the app.

I only drink water so I use my 4 vouchers everyday. Maybe that is how you can finish using your vouchers ? How is your cruise going, you're on one right now right ? We don't cruise next until January 2024 so I live thru everyone and their experiences

I agree with @teddy that RC should have seen how the loyalty groups would grow at an artificial amount. Now that the D+ and Pinnacle are making complaints RC is trying to work out a solution. I think RC is very short sighted to piss off the current Diamond members no matter if you reached the points through double points or thru regular cruising. The problem is if everyone is Diamond and higher then no one is. We just made Diamond this year with regular cruising and love to have the 4 vouchers a day. We have visited the lounge and never have found more than 6 people using it. We only go there to get a great view while cruising or to ask the concierge a question. Personally I think you can only push people so much and we are trying out Celebrity just for better food. We love everything else about RC but the food quality is just too poor now and I am not going to pay for an upcharge restaurant to have decent food.

Trans Atlantic back to back
Montemy2419 replied to chrismelissa's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I think that would only be possible if you were to cruise Cunard on one of the legs. The Queen Mary 2 does several Transatlantic crossings so next April we are on RC transatlantic ending in Southampton. We then spend almost a week in London and are returning on Cunard. -
It figures, we just made Diamond this year. They aren't changing the name just to do it, they have a plan and just haven't told us part 2 yet.

When I first started seeing adult women walk around in fuzzy slippers I thought well their feet must hurt from the high heels the night before. Nope, it has continued to slide down and I'm surprised that I haven't seen bathing suits in MDR because they allow shorts and ball caps to be worn. People in general used to look like they took a little effort for the day instead of cruising in pj's and fuzzy slippers.

Solarium age limit changing to 18
Montemy2419 replied to smokeybandit's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
Love it, now the question is will it be enforced ? How about while the ship is in Alaska ? On our ship the children were swimming in the large pool (which was heated) at Noon and when the Solarium opened for them at 1 pm they arrived. One child left an unwelcome addition to the pool and it had to be drained and cleaned. The larger pool is heated, and was being used by many children so why open up the Solarium ? -
Flight cost to Europe - summer 2024
Montemy2419 replied to therealbigredrules's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
We will be returning from London in May and after looking at airfare costs we are cruising home on Cunard instead. It ended up $2600 (inside room) for both of us and hopefully a relaxing week enjoying great food. A week of cruising or 14 hours of flying and 2 legs to get home, so the cruise won out in the end. -
I would highly suggest that if you want to go ahead and move BUT only rent for the first year or two. I lived in Florida right out of High School and by the third year of living there I was done for many reasons. While living there I saw many people only vacation for a week and have a great time and dream about living there full time. They move, and buy a home right away before learning about different parts of the city or even state. Saw many unhappy homeowners who never looked at the state except through vacation goggles.

When I won I was given a receipt to sign and very clear instructions. They hold Bingo several times a cruise so you could have gone directly to ask them for more details. If you had questions then Guest Services is open 24 hours a day and that is where you should have directed your question. Any problems/questions are much easier to deal with when you are in a situation such as a hotel or on a cruise.
