  1. I can’t login on the App on my Android Phone nor my iPad. I’d tried accessing through the website on both devices and again neither work. Weird deal. I’ll give it another day or so and then just reset my password if it still isn’t working.
  2. What kind of temps can we expect in the evenings onboard? I’m not a jacket guy, really trying to figure out if I need to bring some long sleeve shirts or if I’ll be fine in short sleeves?
  3. I heard ya. I recently got an Airline Miles card and with Summer ‘25 being so far out I’m going to book a cruise, with my Miles CC, and hope I’ll have enough points to cover at least some of my airfare (3 of us). I don’t have many summers left when both my kids are still living in my house, so damn the torpedoes and full speed ahead.
  4. I’ll be there in 17 days. I’m at 83 right now and in 11 days I board Adventure for 6 nights solo in a Jr.
  5. Code of Conduit? Are passengers installing cables and wires for Royal now? I’m assuming you mean Code of Conduct, and Royal already has one.
  6. I’ll be on it in March 2025 , so I’ve got some more time. I’m sure you’re checking the cruise compass section daily. Hopefully one will be posted soon. You may also want to try a Google Search for one.
  7. I hope you let Royal and Carnival know what you think, because posting on an internet message board is going to change anything or matter at all to them. Sad to say, I don’t think Royal or Carnival will care though. They are full speed ahead on scooping up new first time cruisers. That, combined with the insane demand they’re seeing right now, isn’t really going to motivate them to change back. Quite the opposite really. We do appear to be heading towards a recession in 2024, so that may cause demand to dip. If so it may cause Royal to start listening more. However, a decrease in demand is NOT going to make them start printing a daily Compass. Again, quite the opposite as it saves them money. I’ve got some cruises planned on a few different classes of ship with Royal and I’m going to really evaluate which one I think is best for me and will likely start to focus in on that class. Oddly enough, the ship I’m most looking forward to is a Radiance Class ship (I have other sailings on Voyager and Oasis class ships and am still looking for a Quantum Class ship to go on). That would be my only other suggestion to you is to go try a Vision or Radiance Class ship if you prefer the cruising style from the previous century, it was nice era after all. Oh, and I 100% agree with you on having to rely on your phone so much. I hate that, and it isn’t just with cruising either, it’s everywhere on vacation - fights, hotels, theme parks, transportation, it never ends.
  8. “Here’s my list of complaints (that I mention aren’t problems on other ships), but I’m never leaving Royal.” -Most Oasis Class ships don’t have Dazzles -Johnny Rocket, could’ve just been your sailing, they’ve always been busy on the ships I’ve been on -Ports, by definition, are industrial zones. I guess Royal could go built their Veneer Ports like they do in other parts of the world, but then that hour drive you’re complaining about is going to increase to a 2 or 3 hour drive because they’ll have to go way outside the city to build it. -Honestly, where would the put a Sea Plex? They’d have to remove a large revenue center and I don’t see them spending millions on renovations to make less money. -Not sure what you mean by the top deck needs more Lime and Coconut decor. I feel like that’s all the top two decks are.
  9. It isn’t like finding a parking spot at the grocery store. These things get planned out years in advance typically. Honestly, they don’t have time to wait to see what happens. Once the fighting stops it will be 6 months to a year before ships return, but they will return.
  10. Was really excited when we booked this cruise, for obvious reasons, but then got disappointed when the attacks started. However, with the announcement today of our new itinerary I’m once again beyond excited about this cruise. Day 1 - Athens Day 2 - Istanbul (3PM) Day 3 - Istanbul (until 9PM) Day 4 - At Sea Day 5 - Mykonos Day 6 - Santorini Day 7 - Ephesus (Kusadasi) Day 8 - Athens Shore Excursions haven’t been released yet, but I can’t wait to see what’s offered, especially in Istanbul. Anyone have any Recs for these new ports?
  11. Truthfully I wasn’t all that excited about this cruise when it got booked, but now I can’t wait. Very excited about this cruise and checking out Labadee and doing the Damajagua excursion in DR. 16 more days!
  12. Yeah we were supposed to go to Israel and Egypt on Voyager in late June, but they’ve canceled all our ports and now we’re going to Istanbul, Mykonos, Santorini, and Ephesus. While I’m disappointed we’ll miss Israel and Egypt, I am beyond excited to get to go to Istanbul and Ephesus.
  13. What’s the difference in that sign and just placing towels on chairs. At least this person is communicating instead of just throwing their stuff down and taking off for somewhere else.
  14. I assure you that your #1 is absolutely not true. It may not be a large number, but there are people that choose cruises for much pettier and crazier reasons. But if you’re want a model of Ship X and you see a weekend cruise on that Ship pop up, it might just be enough to get you to book it. I’m not saying it’s the sole reason, but for a much larger group of people it could be enough to get them to book a cruise they previously hadn’t planned on booking or it could be enough to get them to choose one cruise over another.
