Coach9
Cruising next week already checked in and took the pictures of are COVID vaccine cards. I’m wondering do we still need to take the card itself with us for boarding?
loki007
absolutely...you will be denied entrance to the terminal without. You will show your vax card, negative tests, and Passports twice. Once to enter the terminal and once to check in with RC. Have a great cruise. Pooch, Pattycruise and Swar

jticarruthers
i think you hsve your answer already but yes, all the uploading is basically worthless as i have to show my passport and vax card every time even though they have digital copies already ... makes no sense but it is what it is. barbeyg and Pooch
SPS
YES. It's listed as one one the items to bring in Healthy Sailing Protocols that should have been emailed to you.
leesam82
Also if you are not from the United States and hail from a country that had digital covid vaccine cards, make sure you have physical vaccine card. I have a family member coming to the US for our cruise from a country that has digital vaccine cards. They had to go to their local public health office to get an official copy. Also make sure that the covid vaccine card has the name of the vaccine, date of administration (each dose separately), and that it is in English. They initially had trouble getting their vaccine cards validated.
Paco
Question....regarding the vax cards....on the website: Proof of vaccine in the form of the original vaccination record document issued by your country's health authority or healthcare provider that administered the vaccine. I don't have the original card but I do have the printout, with the QR code, that I was able to get on the California Digital Covid 19 portal. Is this good enough? This is also what I sent when I did my check in and my vaccination has been validated. Thanks!!

That was a big sticking point when I called royal Caribbean.
Paco
Yes, it has my name, birthdate and the 1st and 2nd dose plus the date of the booster.
Ampurp85
I believe that states that use the digital forms of vax cards allow for them to be printed. I think that info is listed in the FAQs and if I am not mistaken, they might even allow you to pull them up.

Sharla
They aren't required but if you have one I recommend bringing it. Because if something happens on the ship better safe than sorry, that's my take. whitsmom, The Fox, CrimsonCruiser and 3 others

RCIfan1912
How about going into Canada? Are there any extra restrictions or requirements? We on Liberty in October to Canada/NE.
steverk
I watched Don's Family Vacations on YouTube last night. I was surprised when he mentioned a transpacific cruise to Australia was still requiring Covid cards and tests. He seemed surprised as well. It's been almost a year since I've needed such things. smokeybandit
Australia is still pretty far behind the rest of the western world in moving on from covid. RCIfan1912 and JBC 1

Allen2
Scheduled for crossing to Australia on another cruise line - current requirements include Covid Cards AND testing, although photo of self-test taken within 24 hours works. If self-test: test results, Government ID, and device (phone) with date and time showing in photo are all required to substantiate proof.
