Not being able to cruise as often as we’d like, we’re always looking for new YouTube channels to watch cruise videos on. Currently we love Views and Queues, Ryan and Kayla, and recently started watching Happily Ever Aft.  We tend to like vloggers who sort of take you along in their whole cruise. It’s hard to do and requires a lot of commitment.  Many of the OG vloggers started out that way but turned into something else…featuring clickbait headlines, misleading topics, etc,  Anyway, we’re always looking for new ones to watch to see different ships, excursions and getting their honest feedback on their experiences onboard. So, any suggestions? Thanks!

My favorite YouTube Channel Video folks, in no particular order:

Gary Bembridge (Tips for Travelers)

Harr Travel: (Danny, despite the 6'6" shower rant, safe sizes, and basketball anecdotes).

Royal Caribbean Blog

While none of these are especially itinerary focused, I have learned a lot about cruise lines and specific ships we have sailed.

All are well produced, good quality videos that don't present like some buffoon selling used cars. And none of the nausea inducing cellphone videos on a selfie stick with every other word in the dialog being "BABY"!!!!

We also like Views & Queues, because they don’t do click bait! I enjoy their dry humour as well.

Can’t stand Ben & David anymore. Find an adjective other than “flavourful” 🙄🙄 and everything has become so moany and click baity from them too.

I also like Ordinary Adventures, who we found through Views & Queues! They also take you along for the whole ride.

Mostly Disney based, but Mammoth Club is also great.

Love Ordinary Adventures! Just wish they cruised more 😉  Views and Queues are great, like many vloggers the more you get to know them the better they are.  Agree on Ben & David, they’re not what they were when I chose to follow them, and have unfollowed. Even Griff & Alyssa aren’t doing traditional vlogs much anymore, so I find myself watching less. Obviously all vloggers can do what they want, or what they think helps build their channel, but as a viewer I know what I like and gravitate toward or away based on what I am looking for. As you and the OP said, the whole ride is what I’m looking for.  There are others like worth trying - MelKaps (member of this community), Hoffman Happy Travels, Cruise with Josh, Life with Favor.   We like to watch people who just LOVE to cruise. I want that enthusiasm, and passion. It’s fine to point out something that fails to meet expectations but I watch because I love cruising, so want that experience when I watch videos.

I recently watched a great series about a 16-night round trip cruise from San Francisco to Hawaii on Princess by Jamie from Travel Blog Jamie. He covered the whole trip from start to finish.

I honestly have no specific one, I just search a ship or itinerary and click through videos. I don't even know the names of some of the ones I really enjoyed- there's one guy who always sounds stoned, and another which is a younger couple that just do simple videos of the ship and ports.

I had to search them out, the younger couple is Veronica and Ryan  and the guy who always sound so mellow and chill is Along for the Journey

always watch Matt of course and Hoffman Happy Travels for ship tours, he pretty much shows everything so I have a really good grasp to hit the ground running when we board ship.

Besides RCB, I usually listen to Tony on La Lida Loca, The Travel Scouts, and Life Well Cruised, though Ilana is a bit more high maintenance then me when it comes to packing 😂

I was talking to a friend the other week who went on Utopia the middle of this month. Before she left I told her that I watch RCB, she said she did too. It was cool. That was her first cruise and now she has "the bug". They have already booked a cruise on Star.

I think I saw a few of those mentioned saying YT had changed their algo to require more OMIGOSH CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS??!! type headlining of vids.  And it seemed many of them obliged, particularly Ben and David.

1. Harr Travel - Objective even from the view point of a saleman. Only complaint is he is so damn tall. HAHA

2. Matt (Royal Caribbean Blog) - high quality, consistently up to date, great charisma.  Sorry @Matt my only complaint is sometimes you strongly say things that are not widely applicable to newer cruisers or moderate cruisers like the whole drink package opinion.  I can't gamble enough or even cruise enough to be able to not get the DBP. LOL BRING BACK the Wind-Jah-meer pronunciation!

3. Views and Queues - enthusiastic.  Only complaint is that they only eat chicken fingers (mostly) and have a limited palate.

4. Adventures in Millerland - I can relate to a family with teens and of a similar station in life.  I also like their methods of evaluating (mostly pros and cons, but they are semi-methodical).  Only complaint is we can't get enough of them.

5. Chris Wong - Honest, candid, crew member perspective of cruising changes how I travel.  I only wish he used a better gimbal sometimes.

The ONES I DO NOT LIKE - the complainer YouTubers, the YouTubers who cannot manage a respectable camera distance relative to their faces (sometimes I do not need to see all of the eyebrow hairs on your forehead), and the Clickbaiters...sometimes you don't need a misleading title of your video to get my attention.

No.  Young adults.  They just really like fried chicken, chicken fingers, and pizza.  They rarely do seafood, but then again, Matt rarely does seafood.

I am an equal opportunity eater.  I eat everything without discriminating.  Doesn't mean I like everything, just will to try.

I enjoy Views and Queues tho I feel their run of the mill videos are too long (I think that has something to do with monetization but I am no expert).

If you want to get absolutely wrecked, take a shot every time one of them says 'like'.

I will have to check out Views and Queues.

I enjoy Parodeejay and EECC travels. I use to watch a Ben and David a lot but they have made most of their interesting content (excursions) patreon access only and I'm not that interested to pay for content.

I really enjoy Tony from LaLidoLoca vlog content, not so much the cruise news.

Danny from Harr Travel has become our go to for cabin tours since him and I are the same height and build. If he fits, I’ll fit. lol Plus their care packages they send before the cruise have been pretty cool as well even if it’s just a bunch of branded things to get their name out there.

Him and Matt are the only two I really make it a point to watch new videos.

The ones that drive me crazy are the people who blatantly either rip off other people’s videos or post the same thing under a different title.

We’ve got a Panoramic Ocean View on Independence this summer after Danny’s video! The room tours are great, the other half is also 6’4” so the shower POV’s are much appreciated 😆

My husband and I make a point of never watching RCB without each other. And we also tuned into the live steam (a very late night for our location!) before our last cruise to join in the fun and get even more hyped up with days to go! Fully plan on doing it again in the summer! 🥳🚢

This!

Also I can't stand the clickbait of some "vloggers".

Tony of "La Lido Loca" is notorious for doing this. And he has very few comprehensive ship reviews to be a Cruise Vlogger, almost all of his content is news and clickbait. I unfollowed him because of this.

Same! I'm looking forward to trying the escargot this trip. My son said he's going to try it with me. You never know if you like it if you don't try it.

I get it at least twice every cruise. Finally got my wife and daughter to try it. They were shocked that it was good. lol. I tried it when I was 12 as a joke and have been hooked ever since.

Just a pet peeve of mine but the vloggers who don’t understand to pan slowly when showing an area. Lay off the Red Bull before you start filming maybe? Lol

Or when the pan by a menu on the wall but don't slow down or stop to actually SHOW you the menu for that restaurant. This is on and off the ship

I told my Dad and he was repulsed by the idea. I was always afraid to try sushi. I started safe at first and then got bolder. I love it now. I think if you get out of your head thinking about what it is, then you're good.

Good sushi is great but mediocre sushi is horrible!! 🤢🤮

Same, there's a reason I'm chunky, and this is why 😄 lol
