  1. I hope things will be resolved by my late November cruise so I can go to Labadee as I really wanted to go there but I'm not holding my breath. I'm on Symphony and the other scheduled stops are CocoCay, Nassau and Falmouth so I think alternate ports are limited. If Labadee is a no go it would be nice to check out Grand Turk as I've never been...it looks like only one ship is scheduled to be docked there on that day (11/29). I'd much rather prefer that to another day at sea.
  2. Have they announced Singapore yet? That might be where Ovation ends up as it usually stays out in the Pacific. There are no ships currently scheduled out of NOLA for the Oct to April time frame which usually has a ship so Serenade or Radiance will probably fill that slot. Where the other one goes I’m unsure. Mariner will probably stay put in GAL for Feb/Mar/Apr ‘26 I bet.
  3. Maybe they will send Wonder over to Asia full-time as it was originally intended pre pandemic? There are only so many home ports/itineraries that can accommodate Oasis/Icon Class ships. Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Port Canaveral, Galveston are the US home ports currently and add in Cape Liberty for the Summer months. By the launch of Oasis 7 in 28 they will have 10 big ass ships in rotation bc Icon 3 comes out in 26 iirc. I’m thinking one goes to Asia year round and another one will offer cruises out of the updated port in San Juan perhaps? Speculation is fun!
  4. Welcome to the board Mike! I have very fond memories of my cruise on Majesty with my family way back when, loved that ship!
  5. I don’t care about this stuff but my wife is extremely cautious. The gov’t knows who I am, where I am and I could care less as I’m not that important.
  6. Doesn't San Juan already have occasional port stops by Oasis Class ships? Is it a different dock than the usual one used there?
  7. You picked a helluva first ship to go on! What ports will you be visiting?
  8. What was your one non-Royal cruise and how was that experience? I cannot wait to retire...only 46 though so got another 16 years to go. Wife wants to retire when we are 55 but obviously we'll have to see how we are doing financially at that point.
  9. Hi all, I've been on these boards for a couple months now and I really have enjoyed this community so far. My name is Dan (duh!) and I'm originally from Long Island and moved to GA 6 years ago. Got married in November of '22 for the first time to the love of my life. I work in retail selling patio furniture, have done so forever. I have really enjoyed reading everyone's adventures in the Live Blogs board and I'm amazed at how many cruises people go on. I'm fortunate enough to have gone on cruises with my family growing up, then went on a handful of Jam Cruises from 2005 through 2019. There is nothing like the anticipation just before boarding and finally stepping foot on the ship to start your voyage! I waste a lot of time on the internet so I thought it would be fun to have a thread to talk about your cruising history, where you are from and what you do for a living. I'm going to list my past cruises but for many of you that might be difficult if you've been doing this for 20+ years and have over 100 cruises so maybe just say what your favorite cruise was if you like. I look forward to hearing your stories and getting to know everyone a little more! Anyways, enough babbling on my end...here's my cruise history... 1993, Nov 20 - Celebrity Zenith - can't find itinerary 1995, Jan 8 - Majesty of the Seas - 7 Night W Caribbean 1997, Jan 4 - Splendour of the Seas - 7 Night S Caribbean 1998, Jan 3 - Rhapsody of the Seas - 7 Night S Caribbean 1998, Dec 28 - Celebrity Horizon - can't find itinerary 2000, Jan 7 - Splendour of the Seas - 10 Night Circle the Caribbean 2005, Jan 6 - Carnival Celebration - Jam Cruise 3 2006, Jan 7 - MSC Lirica - Jam Cruise 4 2007, Jan 2 - MSC Opera - Jam Cruise 5 2012, Jan 9 - MSC Poesia - Jam Cruise 10 2016, Jan 6 - MSC Divinia - Jam Cruise 14 2019, Jan 15 - NCL Jade - Jam Cruise 17 Upcoming 2024, Aug 12 - NCL Jewel - 7 Night Alaska 2024, Nov 24 - Symphony of the Seas - 7 Night Caribbean 2025, Jul 7 - Voyager of the Seas - 7 Night Greek Isles
  10. For Royal I've only been on Majesty, Rhapsody and Splendor way back in the day so I'm totally expecting my mind to be blown hahaha. I've already started looking into excursions but with no Labadee most likely I'll only have to find something for Nassau and Falmouth. I think we might just go to a resort/beach for Nassau and the Blue Hole for Falmouth. CocoCay is going to be spent at Hideaway Beach. I wonder what port will replace Labadee for us...not many options with a ship so large.
  11. This is awesome and I hope they continue to crack down on these selfish people.
  12. It looks like Adventure doesn't have anything planned for March/April 2026...perhaps it will finally get its Amplification then?
