  1. There is a good deal now if you travel with more than two people... third and fourth passenger free, which is nice for those who have kids just out of the Kids sail free age range...
  2. we could only hope... lol. But in reality, it seems like they either combine them into a 70s-90s party, OR rotate them between a 70s and an 80s party depending on the ship and or cruise director.
  3. That's what it sounded like, I saw a comment on FB about that on the Royal fb page, and they responded "more announcements to come"
  4. Liberty does NOT have them. As mentioned, they are supposed to be added during the amp next year- covid caused them to miss the original date for updating.
  5. Not sure how brand new you need it, but I saw a TON of really nice, in good shape still, suitcases and carry ons at my local Goodwill and another big thrift shop in the area. I'm thinking of grabbing another carry on, so instead of one suitcase, one carry on and one large back pack, we can do away with the backpack for another carry on.
  6. They definitely have sugar free red bull. I don't drink coffee, so a sugar free red bull in the morning and one mid afternoon is how I keep going on a cruise. I stock pile them throughout the week so I have a few in the fridge for my morning drink. 2-3 might come home with me for the ride/flight home, as well
  7. I'm a little late to this, but for some reason, I feel like triple occupancy rooms get this a lot in some categories. We had no option to choose our OV cabin on Liberty last year, and again no option to choose a OV Balcony when booking Symphony late last year (which we had to change, anyway- SHOULD be on her right now!!).
  8. My mother always set clocks in the house 8 minutes fast when I was younger... it drove me NUTS. I think she still does it... I borrowed her car a few months ago and noticed the radio clock was ahead. Her theory is that it keeps her (and kept us) from being late...
  9. The check in seems to open up closer to 1215-1230 anymore, so I think it's just holding you up until it actually opens
  10. Thanks for another fun blog. I was gonna ask if you were doing one for the next ones, but you already said you would so looking forward to it. You and your wife gave me some new food ideas (brownie\cookie "milkshakes" and storing some cookies and rice crispy treats in the cabin...NOT salmon omelettes, though) AS I am typing this an Icon commercial just came on, this two year hiatus from Royal is gonna be torture.
  11. What ship? We left in October on Oasis and found it a little chilly until day 3 or so, once you get down toward Florida. But everything was open, on Liberty I do believe one pool was heated-one of the two main pools, but not so much on Oasis. Solarium on those remain Adults only, I know on the Quantum ships they sometimes open it up for kids on colder cruises, but I don't know if a cruise from NJ in October is considered a cold weather cruise
  12. Pretty sure him, it's been around for a little bit and he comments and posts quite regularly in there. @Matt want to confirm for the people?
  13. Don't worry, everyone- once @OCSC Mikegets video of me singing it, none of you will ever want to hear it again! I got you!
  14. I love my 90's music, but can never walk away from some Pink Pony club... love that song
  15. I'm gonna need to start the diet soon for my 14 nighter... gotta lose at least 5-10 so I can pack 10-15 back on!
  16. What's your method for bringing stuff back to the room for later consumption? I never do it and need to start. Do you grab a few items, bring them to the table then throw them in a ziplock to take back? Do you bring the plate back to the room then do the bagging?
  17. Your son also doesn't need to wait to make an account to get a C&A number, he will get one automatically after the cruise.
  18. Probably the leftovers from the island
  19. I am also an early riser- wife and kid not so much. I always leave and stroll around for a bit while they are still sleeping and that usually includes my first breakfast, a stop at WJ right after it opens. I grab a plate, find a table by a window and sit there and enjoy the somewhat empty room and nice morning view. Then I'll grab a donut and a pastry or two to bring back for them to try to get them moving.
  20. Throw some mozz sticks and sauce on that thing! This was probably the only gripe about my side piece (aka MSC-Royal will always be my main squeeze). The shows have no real plot- its mostly music driven, I guess it's easier for such an international customer base to follow along when its mostly singing and almost zero actual dialogue. They were all fine, and super talented, just no story in the most part.
  21. PLAYMAKER BURGER!! Have fun at PDCC, expecting a full array of snack shack pics
  22. Sounds like us! I have to drag the wife out of bed on a cruise. Even on day one, I get up early at the hotel and me and the son go get breakfast and bring it back to entice her to start moving. We finally convinced he that getting there early was worth getting up for after a few times of showing up after 12 to board. Now she gets up early on embarkation day- but that's it. Forget trying to go to breakfast with her on the ship, lol.. I do an early\first breakfast by myself then usually the kid will get up in time to catch the back end of breakfast at the buffet before it switches over. Mike- GK looked good- not sure what they were in that second pic, but anything with cheese dumping out of them is A-OK with me!
  23. I though that was an egg roll, but a cheesecake chimichanga sounds like fun! I scroll quickly through the seafood pics (the only thing worse to me than smelling it, is looking at it close up, lol) but all of the drinks and snacks look great!! How is it being on a ship you are very familiar with, yet finding new spots to check out? Making me really wish we were doing our Symphony cruise that WAS booked for next week originally... happy Anniversary, by the way!
