  1. Since we’re all still wondering what exactly they’re going to end up doing with this concept, I’ve been playing what’s the menu going to be with my wife. The European version seems a bit straight forward. Pick a dish from each country you’re traveling thru with a drink pairing. However, “western” is more intriguing to me. Personally, I’m leaning towards a wild game centered menu with bison, rabbit, venison dishes and most likely a Waygu or similar steak option. Something similar to what would might have been available on a luxury dining car in the late 1800s traveling cross country.
  2. If there are empties there next time I’m there, I’m going to ask what’s the lowest they’ll take for one. Probably will be more than I’m willing to pay but I might be surprised.
  3. My past Allure sailing had over water cabanas going for $4100 including tax. By the time we sailed they were down to $1900 and then if you were a vintage you got another 25% off. They weren’t sold out even then. One of the Quantum ships was there as well that day so it wasn’t for lack of customers. I think we will see something similar with a Utopia regarding lack of interest for their insane pricing schedule.
  4. Word from the crew said it was going to be converted to playmakers.
  5. I don’t recall see anyone eating in there at any point on our recent trip on Allure. Only a few at the bar getting drinks. However, all specialities were having trouble getting customers.
  6. Can’t answer for MDR on Allure but collared shirts in specialties won’t be looked at twice. I wouldn’t recommend it but there was a guy at Chefs Table wearing a hoodie and shorts. I’m pretty sure nothing was said.
  7. There might not be room for the steak considering all the other food that will be waiting on your friend when they return to the room. Star class food coma is def a thing to behold.
  8. Alllure-two weeks ago: Didn’t eat at every option. So here’s our breakdown of what we did try. Couple trips to WJ and it was decent. Selection was good and nothing looked “stale”. Got cook out plates (burgers and dogs) and it was good. Chops- steak was good but also the worst of the cruise. Tender but the seasoning was “off”. Lobster was good. No complaints on sides but shrimp cocktail was rather small compared to the “before” times. Giovanni’s- not sure how to do this one because they made me chicken Alfredo so I’ll use the rest of the party’s meal. Steaks were amazing. Sides and apps were good. Eggplant parm was a disaster (pg-13 version of her comment). Izumi- just amazing. Mic drop. 150 Central Park- best overall meal of the trip followed closely by Izumi. Staff were amazing. Prob the best filet I’ve had in a long time. Lobster thermador was amazing but I feel could be better….. Vintages- tapas- quality depended upon the time of the evening you ordered. The earlier the better. Dog house- only had brats. Worried about fresh bread. Bread was fine. Kraut was generic but good. Overall, good for free but I wouldn’t pay. Chefs table- I’m mixed on this as it’s nothing really original or frankly awesome food-wise. Don’t get me wrong it was good. The pairings make the meal imo was well as having an awesome sommelier. We’re about 50/50 on doing it again. room service or star class food coma enablers- we never ordered it except for breakfast. We didn’t have anything that was complaint worthy but I’m also not sure where exactly the food was coming from (mdr, speciality, etc). Overall good rating. overall, I came into this trip expecting average at best food. I’d give it an overall above average to good rating. My best example is that my FIL who is an extremely picky eater actually got out and tried some new things and was happy.
  9. Thank you. That’ll be used in the future but I’m really looking at probably September/ October 2026 time frame for a sailing date. The latest I see on there is April.
  10. Does a schedule for this next year’s release dates exist yet? I have to reschedule my Jan 2026 trip and I’d like to rebook when the new sailings drop if possible.
  11. Just wanting to say the only “new” thing I’ve heard is it’ll be 48 seats per meal. That may be public knowledge by this point but I did get that from the Genie last week. No word on pricing yet.
  12. Mine was far from formal imo. I felt like I was under dressed without a jacket and by all attempts I should have been but compared to a polo shirt and jeans and especially the guy on the hoodie I was dressed to the 9s.
  13. Speaking of my time on cruise ships, I’ve never seen anyone go out of their way to be rude to someone or really even be curt. It’s a rarity in today’s world imo. Most people are concerned with themselves rather than the world around them because they want an escape from reality for a few days. I don’t think I even ran into another person in the public restroom unless I on the pool deck or near WJ on my last sailing. I think you’ll have a good time.
