Bowen
This will be my first cruise as Diamond. My mom and I typically have one or two drinks per day each. Do I get four drinks per day as Diamond, or is it four for the cruise? Can I use them on someone else, just order two drinks? Thanks!
Ampurp85
@WAYNO is not completely correct. You will have 4 drinks a day on your card as a diamond member. If others are diamond they will have the same. Anything you order with your card will use your vouchers. If you order 6 drinks, 4 will be free and the others will get charged. You can order drinks on your card for your mother but if only you are diamond, its 4 total.
Pattycruise
I agree with Ampur85. The drink vouchers are assigned to the Diamond member, if you are each Diamond you each get 4 drinks. With that said, your 4 free drinks can be used for you, you can use them for your mother (on top of her free drinks if she is Diamond) or you can use them for complete strangers. Mon a recent sailing with my hubby (both of us are D+) and my MIL-Who is Emerald, I’d “buy” her a drink at dinner and I’d ask the waitstaff to use one of my Diamond drinks for her. At another bar they told my husband he had no drinks left and asked if I wanted to use one of my drinks for him since I was drinking as well. Bowen
Thanks everyone! I'm the only one who is Diamond this round, but she will be on our cruise in January, so that'll be exciting! I won't have to pay extra for any alcohol on this cruise, woo! Bowen
Does anyone know how much drinks cost? I generally order wine or prosecco, but my mom loves the fruity, frozen drinks. Do those typically fall in to the free drink category?

Neesa
Yes the fruity frozen drinks are covered. Our last sailing I used my vouchers for my husband everyday. We were in a suite so I had water and soda and a glass of wine with dinner (maybe) I challenge myself to debark with normal ankles each sailing. If something is high in sodium (almost everything, but I'm talking to you onion soup) I just drink water. I was always allowed to use my vouchers for him, it was easy to do. The drinks were crazy watered down....but that's another topic. Just order and ask for them to use your voucher and hand over your sea pass card, no one blinked an eye. Very easy, I love the vouchers! fireclan, Swar and Bowen

A while back my legs swelled up so badly by the end of the cruise I had no idea what was going on til I googled it. Now I take OTC water pills (Diurex) during every cruise and they take care of 90% of the swelling. Food & drink is one of the main reasons I enjoy cruising so I refuse to limit myself. I actually diet before cruises to make up for the weight I know I will gain, lol. Neesa, CrimsonCruiser, Bowen and 1 other

If I dont use them by nightfall, I use the remaining for either water bottles, cans, of beer, soda etc., and stock up in my fridge . Even on disembarkation day you can order 4 x2 drinks ( as Diamond status) So wake up early, and stock up on water etc for your trip home. asquared17
honestly, if they had evian bottles still on the ships, i would spare myself the grief of buying a water package and just get a fresh bottle of evian each day with my voucher -- or even 2, on the days i was not drinking as much, since i typically have one drink at dinner and maybe once at the pool during the day. kind of kills me a little to have to use a diamond voucher on a small 12 oz bottle of water, though. Drinks that exceed your free Diamond drinks are not all discounted there’s a “diamond benefits” sheet in the cabin in day one that lists some benefits such as 50% off a wine or beer-good for 1 drink (or 2-depending on your C&A level)…that’s per cruise-not daily. casino drinks are free if you earned Prime or better as your Casino status. Ampurp85
@Pattycruise beat me to it involving casino drinks. Lots of people think the casino on ships are like on land and that they can just get free drinks. Not the case. @Bowen most mix drinks will be $13. However beer and wine will be cheaper. I drink prosecco and it's about $9-10 a glass. I brought a drink package 1 time and haven't again even before I reached diamond. I drink at most 3 drinks a day but a lot of sparkling water/coke zero. You can do a la carte easily once you become diamond. CrimsonCruiser

Ampurp85
@Lugnut that's a great example of ymmv. I had dinner in Jamie's Friday night on Navigator. I purposely saved 2 of my drinks for that dinner. I got 2 glasses of Moscato because their peach based version is my favorite. I realized I was only charged for 1 after I went to karaoke and was going to use my 50% off on a Blue moon. I wasn't charged at all. Mturk
A question for the more knowledgeable people on this board regarding Diamond drinks. My wife and i just graduated to Diamond status and we usually always book the DBP but won't be doing that anymore. I know about the 4 drink vouchers each per person per day but what I'm not clear on are the discounts over and above the vouchers. Matt had posted the benefits per status tier earlier in the month and it shows for Diamond that in addition to the vouchers there are also available (2 coupons per sailing) 50% off for any glass of wine, beer or soda. Then there's another 20% off any glass of wine, beer or soda (this doesn't mention any limitation). So does all this mean that if on any given day when I've gone through the 4 vouchers and have used up the 2 50% coupons that any glass of wine afterwards is always 20% off?
