it’s cruise day!!!!!!!!! 270 is a great place to hang, you will love it! i think our cabin was on the bump out as well and we had the largest balcony i’ve ever seen, which was super fun. BUNDLE UP AND HAVE FUN!!

to everyone wondering about packing…. i am happy to report i am about 80% complete! the new compression cubes are working great; i actually would be further along but unfortunately desperately need to do laundry as i am going to run out of clean underwear to pack ala batman ( @SweetPea) once i get my laundry done, i should be able to close the gap. somehow i think i left my travel diffuser at the phoenician in AZ when we were there in march after our second oasis cruise. i had purchased it because the one i typically use was not staying on with the usb connection. but after tearing through my bins of packing supplies (organized by category - cruise, carryon, toiletries, packing bags/holders) i can’t find it at all. so i made yet another bezos order; the diffuser, rubber bands for our duck tags (WHERE DID THEY GO????), another coola travel kit (the BEST), toiletry bags (have these and LOVE, also on sale for cyber monday), and reordered sunscreen. the sunscreen i actually won’t need for this trip but i found somewhere online that had sunbum on sale, so i figured it was better to take advantage now. i also got these GREAT bags at ulta; i use them for my vitamins/traveling medicine chest, one for “kit” on the plane (backup battery, usb cord, kindle, chapstick, mask, whatever else needed and it sits next to me on my seat on the plane), vital things like glasses, electric toothbrush etc. they are on sale right now and i cannot recommend them enough. better than a traditional ziploc because they have a full zipper closure and the see through feature allows you to remember what you’ve stuffed inside ulta bag: https://www.ulta.com/p/basics-clear-clutch-pimprod2010140?sku=2550293&cmpid=PS_Non!google!Product_Listing_Ads&utm_source=google&utm_medium=paidsearch&cagpspn=pla&CATCI=&CAAGID=&CAWELAID=330000200001836008&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD9rLH73mM3DKPZ2GDccTbeiIbRY3&gclid=CjwKCAiAjKu6BhAMEiwAx4UsAhrZiucFBC-SBlLw9VcylIRLlwVeEbwquomWEtxTbCSeKBus3E7yphoCmZQQAvD_BwE bezos toiletry bags: pack all 3 Pcs Water-resistant Material Zipper Pouch Set, Mesh Zipper Bags for Storage, Travel, Office (Green) https://a.co/d/8GXTKGR the toiletry bags are lined inside and prevent most spills (i guess if it was egregious you’d be out of luck regardless) but they’ve held up for years and i like the set of three for a starter. they also have a two tone version. https://a.co/d/ct481Db i like how bright they are because they’re easy to find in a bag as well, and i use the set as it makes it straightforward to pack and unpack when things are grouped together — skincare, hair care, everything else. most of the day spent working at my side hustle so i was glad to take some time dedicated this morning to knock out the bulk of the packing and organizing. the rest is just a matter of shifting stuff around from the trunk to the medium suitcase and back, depending on how things shake out. not having a traditional large clamshell style suitcase is weird since this is the first time using it, so it’s taking some getting used to. the only real negative feedback/reviews i found on the trunk were if really heavy items were put on the top/shallow side, it would cause that half to buckle/sit inside the other half. i am keeping it so more lightweight cruise stuff goes there (CUP CLIP!!) and feel pretty good about my ratios. weather looks great in florida for the weekend so i am hoping we get some pool or beach time on saturday i have a feeling this week is going to FLY by AND we have @melmar02’s liveblog to follow along with too!! ps: sorry to anyone’s wallet for the links above please note they are not affiliate links either

SHOOT that’s right. you are a T3 girl. i was worried about the hairdryer/outlet situation too, but i am going to give it my best shot. ^^^This is most true LOL this makes me so happy we are ships passing in the night!!!! i love it!! this is why our next four cruises are booked with celebrity, honestly. we couldn’t get the value match on royal. it was sad but we finally called it what it was and are hoping for royal again in february 2027

oh man okay well good to know. i do remember taking my drybar buttercup way back in the day and feeling like the power was a bit throttled so i wonder if it’s something similar with dyson products. this is all good info though!!! ughhhh my side hustle is taking precedence right now and all my time/focus. i’ll probably knuckle down tomorrow or sunday and bang it out. we leave friday too and it’s going to be a packed week so i don’t know where my head is at, exactly. clearly not here also you KNOW how luggage delights me!!!! yesssss his own carryon!!! also just to really emphasize the joy of a good deal -- last night before drifting off (why is this always the theme here?) i ghostbooked our december 2026 ascent sailing to find out that it had GONE DOWN!!!!* (not by much, but even so!) i sent our TA an email and she responded this morning, letting me know that we got the price adjustment moral of the story: don't give up!!!!!! and may the odds be EVER in your favor on this black friday season!!!!! *interesting to note, all the other sailings had not gone down, but UP

and now, on black friday -- a tale of the best bargain you will ever hear.... (also sidebar, paging @Lovetocruise2002 and/or @Jax and anyone else who is a dyson hairdryer aficionado -- i recently got the dyson supersonic nural -- am i going to have any issues getting this through check-in with my carryon and using in the CLS?) ....okay, let me take a proper pause here to properly explain so you understand how i got the deal of a lifetime. to set the stage: the dyson nural is a $500 hairdryer. (plus tax, which varies depending on where you live.) for $500 this thing needs to make my hair look like it was professionally done, ALWAYS. (to say the LEAST) i have long since wanted this hairdryer since it came out last year, but given my former employment in retail and love for a good bargain, i would be DAMNED if i paid full price. i knew there had to be a better way. and they kept putting coupons out for all the dyson hairdryers EXCEPT the nural. this lasted for holiday of 2023 and well into this season. but something magical happened on tuesday night as i was drifting off to sleep!!!!!!!!!!! i refreshed the dyson page (which i was stalking almost as aggressively as the royal and celebrity pages) to find that the hairdryer had dropped 20% or $100!! that was cause for joy BUT i needed it to go on sale at ulta, because that was where my investment was. (and by investment -- i mean points and gift cards.) LO AND BEHOLD!!!!!! IT FINALLY WENT $100 OFF AT ULTA TOO!!!!!!! then i had gift cards for $200. then i cashed in all my ulta points. AND THUS. I PAID. E I G H T E E N. DOLLARS!!!!!!!!! for a $500 hairdryer!!!!!!! YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!! COME ON!!!!!!!!

as an east coaster, i think temperature can be relative/subjective. we are used to the brisk atlantic ocean here in NJ so the water in cococay has always felt normal/warm to us when we vacation every year in both december and february.
