  1. @asquared17 You really need to get an affiliate link set up if you're going to keep sending Bezos this much business, lol.
  2. $267.99pp for Wonder in March... ...not that I'm actually going to be on it, just waiting til the last minute to cancel in case something comes up.
  3. Jinxed myself... my wife wants me to book GK for lunch now just b/c of the sale and she loves the desserts.
  4. Hidden benefit of being a cheapskate... I pretty much buy one meal (which OBC always covers) and nothing else in the CP, lol.
  5. Yes. I did this once or twice and the OBC returned almost instantly.
  6. Thanks for the heads up. Real life and no cruises for a while has kept me away from the boards and the cruise world but got my Mason Jar brunches taken care of now.
  7. Yep, you will. You'll actually have an extra day where you won't have to share. Small "extra" benefit to doing a 3/4 B2B instead of 7N, internet winds up completely free if you're OK sharing (we do the same thing).
  8. Never tried dinner but LOVE the brunch and have had it on every cruise when offered and will continue to do so going forward. *Food is of course subjective.
  9. General advice... take a one-way cruise and spend as much time on land before/after the cruise as your schedule/budget allows. I prefer before and would put Denali at the top of the list of land visits.
  10. Having taken that bus ride all the way to the back of the park where we stayed at a lodge for 2 nights (and then back out), I would strongly urge anyone not to skip it. My general Alaska advice is always to spend as much time on land as possible and Denali would be at the top of my list of things to see. Just one man's opinion, of course, and I know you only mentioned skipping it b/c the OP said they didn't want a long bus ride. I would normally avoid them as well... but not in Denali.
  11. I've only been to St. Kitts once and we took a private tour that made a few stops with a driver that was recommended to me by someone else. Our last stop was at a black sand beach. I forget the name but it was by a bar and you could swim out to a platform and chill. It was cool to see black sand for the first time and there were wild monkeys behind the bar that would come up to you. I enjoyed the stop but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there. NOTE: Obviously this is just one opinion of one particular beach... and we're also not beach people. We had never been there before so it was more of a general tour of the island, a short rain forest walk, a brief beach stop, etc. There could easily be nicer black sand beaches to spend time at. Hopefully someone more familiar with the island chimes in.
  12. If they would just start serving them on the Oasis class Boardwalk... such a natural fit and only requires batter and a fryer. EDIT: And obviously powdered sugar.
  13. Haven't sailed since July but my wife orders a special whole pizza once or twice per cruise and we've never had an issue.
  14. Food is subjective... looks pretty good to me but it would be one of the nights my wife wouldn't order anything except Caesar salad and chicken breast... which are the nights we avoid the MDR b/c I don't mind skipping it in general and she used to go through exactly what @ScottD described before we changed our routine.
  15. Goalpost Margarita, one of my favs. FYI, you can get the same one at Cantina Fresca (bar attached to El Loco Fresh); they just call it a pineapple jalapeno marg. That's the one. Maybe you got a bad one. Long Island type drinks can really vary from one to the next depending on how they're made. I used to get a few of those each cruise before other drinks became my go-to's. On one of my very rare Sky Class cruises we got friendly with the SL bartender and he was great. I showed him the recipe in the app and he made them better than anyone in Playmakers ever had.
  16. Yep, we've been here (near Disney) since then as well. Had just finished building our first and only house in Fall 2003 too... great timing! Stay safe and hopefully you don't lose power for nearly that long this time around. Knock on wood, we're pretty good about not losing power for long (or at all) where we are.
  17. Sounds like you may be one of the rare cases where the cabin # you first saw may not wind up being your cabin. It doesn't happen often but your cabin CAN change in between seeing it via the bar code trick and having it OFFICIALLY assigned.
  18. I applaud the attempt! The presentation wouldn't have been as nice anyway (although I wonder why I don't just tell them to skip the mint leaf since after taking a pic it just gets tossed).
  19. Different Mike tagging in... Yes. the cabin number should be below the bar code and it should be after a dash. 1. Do you see "GTY" somewhere under the bar code? 2. Do you see your muster station listed? Seeing GTY and not having an assigned muster station indicate you truly don't have an assignment yet.
  20. Love it. They go down so easy (and aren’t exactly strong). I wonder if you could get a pitcher?
  21. Enjoy the 2nd half! Good time to get the heck back of out of Central Florida but could be a bit messy for your return. I'll go back to watching Milton head straight towards my SIL's house on the west coast before heading my way. More drink pics please... I can obviously drink at home but I don't have Mississippi Moonlights and frozen Pesky Parrot drinks on my menu, lol.
  22. Very popular too. During one of my Wonder cruises they actually ran out of mint leaves for the garnish, lol. I told the bartender (who knew me at that point) as long as they didn't run out of moonshine, no worries. You're drinking for the blog (or at least for me and @Lovetocruise2002)... enjoy!
