  1. Not sure this is still in effect but on our January cruise on SOS Diamond was not allowed into the Crown Lounge during 'happy hour'. In the early evening it was D+ and Pinnacle only.
  2. This must be something that has changed. I have booked JS on Next, as well as balconies, on the ship and once used the book later, and never paid more than 200 as a deposit.
  3. We have been on the Allure more than any other ship and was aboard two weeks before they were supposed to amp it up in 2020 then Covid hit. So, we have to get back on when it gets back to Galveston...likely April 2026. Thanks for the heads up!
  4. I am not certain when they get assigned but 45 days out when you get to checkin and you get your boarding pass add it to Apple wallet and the last digit on the barcode is your cabin assignment. Others might be able to be more specific. lol
  5. Would be great but we are those people that book 10 to 10:30am flights when possible. Except when going out of Port Canaveral or L.A.
  6. Recent cruise on Symphony the Crown Lounge did not have regular coffee in the machine. First time seeing that. They did bring in a carafe at times but it was a pump thermos.
  7. We were on one of the last sailings before they were to put Allure in drydock for the amp...of course Covid canceled that. But, that list is what was shared with us. That dry slide is such a waste of money and space so I am hoping they eliminate that from the old list.
  8. I have only cruised out of LA once...the terminal was quite a surprise with, as you mentioned, the tents and big open warehouse style building. In my opinion if they were to put an Oasis in there they would have to build a new terminal and upgrade the arrival/departure areas along with the roads leading in.
  9. My wife did bring home the show listings and I was prepared to upload...but glad you got it done. Hope you have an awesome cruise...we did.
  10. RC exceeded my expectations...it was updated today showing D+...
  11. Just sailed out of Lauderdale and they weren't even checking boarding times. If you get there too early before they are boarding passengers, you will be seated in the waiting area after you have checked in and they will allow you to board in the order you were seated. So, unless they change it, you should have no problem getting checked in before your assigned time.
  12. sorry but didn't see this while sailing. Any specific questions? Maybe I can see if my wife has that on her daily papers she usually keeps.
  13. Tomorrow we will be boarding Symphony for the second time. No wow bands before so I am going to be curious about these when we board.
  14. I am sure it will be...fwiw our next cruise will be with Celebrity...our first...and held off until now because the points don't transfer, just matching status.
  15. It's understandable. Like you we did the auto tip, paid the 18% on specialty and when well pleased added a bit more and tipped extra to dining and steward. On one cruise I even tipped a great steward down the hall that didn't even attend to our room...he was awesome. With the higher autotips and the fact we aren't going to the MDR very often we are making some adjustments but as of now will continue to tip where merited. Oh, and since we get those free D drinks we also tip the waiters/bartenders even if it's just for a coke.
  16. We leave the ship, Symphony, on 2/4 and since we will have enough to move to D+ I expect it to update no later than on 2/11. LOL
  17. Along with the other response you got I will add that it varies from ship to ship. On one cruise it was in the ice rink and there was a special performance that lasted about 15 minutes. One of my favorite things about them is finding out how many people in each tier are on the ship.
  18. Once Purdy went out that Eagles/Niners game was only interesting to Eagles fans and even then most likely not closely watched. LOL
  19. Yep, it's here to stay. I tested positive, only time, after a cruise last January. The only reason I was tested was a sinus infection. They told me my symptoms were all sinus related and not from Covid. My wife had the flu on a cruise in 2019 and was quarantined until she tested negative but the only reason that happened was she went to the infirmary. How does RC deal with people that are coughing, sneezing, etc. and not volunteering to get tested? Not an easy solution.
  20. obviously missed that...guess my quest for perfection in 2024 has ended. What a relief. lol
  21. Currently a RU tab has been in my RC account for a while now and it's below the plan my cruise. Don't recall that being the case on past cruises.
  22. Never purchased the UDP but before D status I used to buy a package where my wife could get fresh squeezed orange juice and specialty coffee. Now with the D status we get the 4 per each...I have used her card to pick up her juice/coffees etc on the package pre-D and have also used hers to grab something off the 4 per...never had an issue. However, I would think that the UDP would be, and should be, different.
  23. We had ours show up like you did...saw the cabin in Wallet...continued to show GTY and about 4 weeks out from the cruise showed up in our RC account.
