SpeedNoodles
We currently have 5 booked, 3 of which are tentative because I have no idea whether or not I'll be able to retain a pet sitter (we'll see how much she likes doing it this June and if $75/night is enough motivation for her). I'd love to book more, but between the cost of flying and the cost of the pet sitter...

Only the hounds will be any real work - it's mostly just the inconvenience of her having to live at the house. When I take the hounds with I can have someone stop by the house every other day for the price of a small Starbuck's gift card.

They usually want a lot more. Seattle is more expensive than Minnesota though.

One reason it's not so expensive is that it's a friend of mine, not a pet-sitting service.

bhageerah
We have only had three booked at once, and unfortunately due to the wife looking for a new job our vacation future is uncertain. We literally JUST got off of Anthem this morning and booked one for December with the kids. Once she finds the job that she wants and in a spot she wants we will be back to doing at least 2-3 per year, depending on her vacation package. As I have said before my worst day at sea is ALWAYS better than my best day at work! Fuzzywuzzy, WannaCruise, Sweety and 1 other
Rick M
I have 2 booked and am waiting for the Cuba cruises to be announced for after January so in can book my third. We try to get an accessible cabin and the good ones tend to go early.

KathyC
We had 6 booked for 2019, (completed the first in January) but had to cancel one so now we're down to 4 left for the remainder of 2019. We only have one so far in 2020 but that's a European cruise so it's a pretty big one when you factor in airfare. We'll most likely do another one later in the year but still haven't found the right one yet. Once the Alaska 2021 sailings are announced, we'll be booking that for May 2021. deep1
My work schedule and that of my ex wife and now new love have hindered our abilities to book too many in advance. As a big game fishing boat captain its far from all glitz and glamour. Not just working hot engines, clearing "plumbing issues", 36 hours at the helm on "canyon" trips but we are also effectively on call 24/7. Last boat owner quit fishing and I'm now "underemployed". New sweetie is switching jobs and new one very flexible with time off. So...…. We have this one booked and plan on booking three more while on this one. One for just her and her daughter, one for her kids and us, then a transatlantic for just us... SpeedNoodles and Sweety
KristiZ
This is the first time we've had two booked at the same time. But they are B2B, so kind of cheating I'm definitely looking forward to the days when I can book 3, 4, 5 or more at a time though! MarvinS
Three technically: Harmony 5/26/19, and a B2B on Freedom 6/7/20. Living in Alaska, my airfare costs more than my cruise fare, so I can only manage about one cruise a year... Bringing my family (wife & I plus 3 kids) gets expensive real quick! I'm waiting for June 2021 to be published, and I will be booking one more there. SpeedNoodles
VACruiser
I have three: Independence of the Seas - 29 April 19; Freedom of the Seas March 8 2020; Norwegian Joy - Feb 2021 so I can guess I fall in to the category of planning way ahead for my cruises. I would love to book that many at once, but get overwhelmed by itineraries lol As a general rule, we book the ship first unless there is a unique itinerary that we are interested in. Also, we book many cruises based on what the casino is offering for complimentary cruises. Of the 9 we currently have booked only 1 was chosen specifically for the itin and schedule and that is the group cruise to Canada and New England in Oct 2020. All the rest were somehow casino-related. Both Dan and I are going to be deficient in available annual leave for 2019. We will be instituting “creative” accounting. I apologize if this is a crazy question, just trying to get to your status of expertise lol Not crazy at all. Royal Caribbean has a loyalty program called Club Royale. You are automatically enrolled in this program if you use your Sea pass card at any casino slot machine or table game. There are tier levels to this program and based upon your play level (frequency, time spent playing and average bet values) you can advance to higher tier levels. The higher your tier level, the more casino offers you will receive. You can “win” certificates while on your cruise and also receive offers through the mail and by email. If you are rated at the tier level of Prime or higher, you will receive a complimentary cruise. You must requalify every year. The onboard casino host will not know what offers you have (other than any certificate that he/she will offer you) but you can call Club Royale any time to find out what offers you are eligible for (888-561-2234) or go online at Clubroyaleoffers.com and see what offers you have. The problem with the online list is that there are no details about the offers so you generally have to end up calling anyway. fonemanbob and WannaCruise

And do your non-cruising family and friends think you're nuts? We had 5 cruises booked. Then completed Symphony and came home and booked another so back up to 5. The previous booked ones are our end of summer cruises (4 nights - Navigator and Mariner) and March break cruises (7 nights - Anthem and Harmony) for next two years with DH and our kids. Our new one is a 4 night on Brilliance OR 6 night on Adventure end of Dec with DH (most likely select the 6 night but both are booked so we have the option). And no one in our family or friends cruises like us, so they think we're nuts and don't get it and surprised we're planning so far out. But we love it...it's such a wonderful way to travel with everything there, different stops (vs all inclusive), first class entertainment, variety of food, variety of amenities and activities (cruise compass), etc etc etc. We have two booked...one this summer with our 16yo DS and his best friend (their first cruises)...and one in November with friends (who we cruised with this past December). spiralqueen
I have 4 booked right now, all of which I'm super excited for in their own way. A 7 night Eastern Caribbean on Allure in mid-May where we'll have a JS and the Key which I'm super excited to try out (crossing my fingers on Coastal Kitchen availability!!) A 7 night Bahamas November cruise on Grandeur that will fall over Thanksgiving 2019 (excited for no flight costs and to experience the crew that so many people rave about) A 7 night Western Caribbean sailing on Harmony May 2020 in an ultra-spacious balcony room (reservations already made at Maya Chan and beyond excited for it!) An 11 night Southern Caribbean sailing on Anthem January 2021 (a Southern itinerary I don't have to spend money to fly to that takes place over my birthday? Don't mind if I do!!) I considered looking into another Thanksgiving cruise in 2020 because my family really enjoys them now, but that's quite close to the longer Jan sailing and I'd rather save my vacation days/good will at work.
