Erin6112 Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 We have a cruise booked for 11th April 2025 reservations have opened up. It appears Sushi and Sake will be added and Sabor and Samba restaurants are staying. PPPJJ-GCVAB, CrimsonCruiser and Shari 1 1 1 Quote
PPPJJ-GCVAB Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 Sometimes it takes awhile for the cruise planner to catch up with changes. I would be very surprised if both Sabor and Samba remain. Unless this is more just a dry dock than an amplification? Baked Alaska, cruisellama and TessFromFlorida 3 Quote

It is not a separate place but an offering from Izumi available on all ships that have Izumi. Quote

I’d be surprised if they keep Sabor over adding Playmaker’s in the Boardwalk which has been a huge hit. You never know… Snotarni and Baked Alaska 2 Quote

So, yes, it's anyone's guess right now. rjweber3, WAAAYTOOO and JohnK6404 1 2 Quote
Jamesszy94 Posted July 30 Report Posted July 30 I'm hoping to sail on Allure before she gets amped... maybe I should start looking at cruises on her now... has it been confirmed when her actual amplification is? Can we start a petition and send it to Royal to get them to not add the Ultimate Abyss slides? They look hideous. Quote

The Transatlantic sailing departs from Miami on the 10th of February 2025, arriving in Barcelona on the 22nd. Her next sailing after that is the one on the 11th of April, so that's a 7-week break. I think it's fairly safe to say there will some sort of amplification done during that time as it's far longer than would be required for a statutory dry dock. I think she was actually on her way to get the big purple slide back in March 2020 when covid shut everything down, so my guess is that it would already have been purchased at that time and will have been in storage since then. I can't see them not adding it if that's the case however many folks ask them not to. WAAAYTOOO and Baked Alaska 2 Quote
Carlos A. Posted July 30 Report Posted July 30 At first I thought that the Ultimate Abyss was a good addition to the ships, but after a few cruises on Allure, Oasis and Harmony I changed my mind. It would be great if they didn't add it to Allure, the views from the Boardwalk and the ship in general just looks better without it. Hoppy2BHere, SplashOfWater, Baked Alaska and 2 others 5 Quote
JohnK6404 Posted August 6 Report Posted August 6 Just posted today... official Royal "Allure Amplified" video on their YouTube channel... If this is accurate, Allure will at the very least get new bar(s), the wet slides, Ultimate Abyss, Playmakers, Lime & Coconut, and Mason Jar! Can't wait to see the complete list for the amplification! TessFromFlorida, FionaMG and PPPJJ-GCVAB 3 Quote

Cakemeister Posted August 6 Report Posted August 6 Matt didn't say anything about the elevators, but they were testing the destination elevators on Allure so I'm guessing they will include that in the amplification. Southern Dan Posted August 9 Report Posted August 9 I would either check every few days or even call Royal Caribbean directly to see if they can accommodate you. Quote

I think that Allure has the BEST Crown Lounge in the fleet (of ships we've been on)... the Deck 4 Crown Lounge is dreary... Wonder if they'll add anything to that space? Assuming not Wonderland; would they move Giovanni's and Vintages there and update to Giovanni's and Wine Bar? Will be interesting to see what gives... WAAAYTOOO and SplashOfWater 2 Quote
FionaMG Posted August 21 Report Posted August 21 Prices finally showed up on the dining page on the cruise planner today. There are prices for both Sabor and Samba and the booking process appears to be functional, although I did not go so far as to actually pay. There is no mention of either Playmakers or Mason Jar but I don't know if those would usually show up on the cruise planner anyway? Are they ones that you would have to book ahead of time? Quote

I saw that too! Surprised considering they confirmed Playmaker's and Mason Jar... Playmaker's would not appear in the CP, but Mason Jar does require specialty dining reservations for meals and shows up in the CP (bar is open for walk-ins). Brunch and dinner usually offered... Lucky Posted August 25 Report Posted August 25 I'm guessing that just haven't updated this portion of it yet. It doesn't appear as though the ultimate panoramic suites are available to book yet either, and those were also confirmed. WAAAYTOOO 1 Quote

Mathias Posted August 31 Report Posted August 31 I looked at the new deck plans for amplified Allure, and it was interesting to see that the new Crown Lounge will be located next to Johnny Rockets at the boardwalk, right across Playmakers. smokeybandit Posted September 3 Report Posted September 3 That's a real strange place to put a venue that hardly gets used (compared to the others) Quote

Zambia-Zaire Posted September 4 Report Posted September 4 5 hours ago, smokeybandit said: That's a real strange place to put a venue that hardly gets used (compared to the others) Exactly....why not expand Johnny Rockets up to where the Beach Shop is located, inside & out...jazz it up a little with like 50s style sports bar, with TVs and such, increasing more real-estate to watch big games, vs crowding up in Playmakers. Place another bar in the middle vicinity of both the Beach Shop & Sugar Beach current location, surrounded by seating & TVs. Expand the DogHouse, spice it up some, with outdoor seating with a few TVs and inside seating into where Sugar Beach currently resides, on a sports bar level...expand the menu to Chilly dogs, corn dogs, and minis, maybe some tots to go with it. The Boardwalk Bar would be the connecting/transitional point between the new DogHouse & the New Johnny Rockets. Move Sugar Beach across from the DogHouse, into the unused space, that is Playmakers high-Roller Suite, which I never seen utilize on Symphony or Oasis, with a little more outdoor seating. Get rid of the horse carvings & replace with small stand-up only bar tables, with Zantar being located where the first horse carving located & TVs embedded into the wall, with a sports/stocks ticker, On Air use to have, as one walk into the Boardwalk. No doubt Royal would get more traffic and sales there, if they were to incorporate these modifications. No way, the Crown Louge would be reallocated to the Boardwalk.....that would be just as big as a mistake as not putting a pool in the Solarium, on Harmony. Quote
Mathias Posted September 4 Report Posted September 4 As I am at the diamond-level in C&A, I look forward to visit the new Crown Lounge on the Boardwalk. That being said, I find it strange that they reserve this big part of the Boardwalk just for diamond and above members. On the other Oasis-class ships they don't have the Crown Lounge placed in a prime location. Baked Alaska and WAAAYTOOO 2 Quote
Jamesszy94 Posted September 17 Report Posted September 17 Guess I should book a cruise on Allure before her amplification... why does Royal *insist* on adding those ugly slides!!! Can't we have ONE Oasis ship without the slides... Quote

Keeping the Donut place there? Odd place for Crown Lounge - has to take up more room than Sugar Beach Quote

Atricks Posted September 27 Report Posted September 27 Old Diamond lounge location is now more staterooms, and they also chopped off some of Adventure ocean to add more staterooms, not sure if they did it elsewhere. But honestly that's kind of lame. Quote
