The ship was small enough to get to know a lot of the crew (bartenders, stewards, waiters, and performers) and really appreciate them as people.

This is a great thought - that you selected a return engagement on Infinity in April '23 based on the crew who you got to know.

After the restart in June 21, we sailed on the second Apex sailing out of Athens Greece on B2B Greek Isles itineraries in July 2021. There were 580 passengers on the first leg, just over 1200 on the second (about 1/3 capacity). The ship, according to the hotel manager, was staffed at about 80% on both legs - every crew member so glad to be back at work that the experience was really special. The performers especially stood out - also over-joyed to be performing again.

We did a return trip on Apex sailing the med in October, 21 mostly because of the crew. We've been sailing Celebrity since our first cruise on Mercury in 2001. Our recent fav is Equinox - because of the crew and ease of sailing aboard her (we live in Fort Lauderdale about 15 minutes from Port Everglades).

I was just counting up how many times we've sailed aboard her since the restart - 6X to be exact including her first sailing from Fort Lauderdale in June '21. "Travel (cruising) Revenge," I guess. Production performers completely switched out on one of the later cruises but we knew the first bunch by name and they knew us because we alway sat in the same place. Greeted us in the Ocean View Cafe on the regular when we crossed paths to eat lunch.

Needless to say, over the last couple of years, we select a sailing  because we like the ship and the staff - some of whom we come across multiple times over long periods of time. It's not about the itineraries, well some of it is, but we love to get to know the staff.

This is weird.  We have 4 Royal cruises booked for 23/24 and ZERO Celebrity.  First time in a long time I don't have a Celebrity cruise on the horizon.  May need to rectify that situation!

We're on Summit April 8 - come join!

The casino program has smiled upon us again (Which considering I came out ahead on Apex in December is extra nice) and we now have an 8 night southern Caribbean leaving May 27th, 2023 on Celebrity Equinox.
We were supposed to originally supposed to sail Equinox back in May of 2020. Funny thing is that I booked that sailing late March 2020 thinking “there’s no way cruising isn’t back by Memorial Day” and we all now how that ended up.

We received a paper offer on second day of our second Celebrity cruise saying we have been awarded a free balcony and pay for taxes/port fees only cruise on the Celebrity Solstice in an aft balcony.  Many people have received this offer on the Solstice too only for cruises in Jan through Mar 2023. We are both so excited as it is a Pacific Coastal cruise that we booked immediately on board.  Being native San Fran Bay Area people we are very excited to cruise under the Golden Gate Bridge.  Always been on our Bucket list.  Cruise goes out March 25th to April 1st.

Reflection Nov.25, 2023. Two cabins, 5 of us. I wish Celebrity sailed out of Port Canaveral, but we'll happily do the long drive since we love Celebrity almost as much as Royal.

Just booked  Beyond (March 2025/Southern Caribbean/Panama Canal partial).

Excited to try our very first Celebrity trip.

Question for those that have sailed this type of ship....if we are infinite veranda or porthole veranda, what areas of the ship will we not have access to?

You won't be able to access the areas that are for passengers that have book in The Retreat. Those areas would be The Retreat sundeck(s) or the specialty restaurant Luminae (deck 16)or The Retreat Lounge (deck 14).

Hi everyone, we are looking at this Azamara cruise around the med for this summer. I am desperately trying to find out if we can take our own bikes on-board though. So if anyone has any experience of doing this with Azamara, I would love to hear from you!

We'll be on Celebrity Eclipse 23 - 30 July to Alaska with both sons, their wives, and children - early Christmas!!  Last year my wife and I celebrated our 50th anniversary (2 years late - thank you, virus) on Radiance of the Seas to Alaska. It was our first cruise and a dream to go to Alaska and we really liked RCL and Radiance.  Now we've tried Viking (Elbe River) and have another Celebrity (Summit, Panama, April 24) and a Windstar (Star Legend - Edinburgh to Amsterdam - 2025) booked!  I guess it's safe to say we're liking the cruise stuff!  So far we're not too allegiant to any line - but I did buy enough RCL stock to get the benefits!  Now the challenge is to stay healthy!

Heading on the Beyond for the ABC islands next April.  Originally booked as Reflection, but Celebrity changed it when re-vamping their offerings.  Loved Apex and Edge, so I know Beyond will be great.  Was looking forward to trying Solstice Class however.

After that, my next two are on Princess.  The Premier pricing they offer for elevated drinks, wifi, and other perks is too good to pass up now.

Next, first cruise on Celebrity will be 13 night transatlantic from Fort Lauderdale on Apex. Very much looking forward to this cruise. We had a transatlantic booked on Anthem of the seas in April of 20 which never happened.

Taking our first Celebrity cruise on Reflection on February 11, 2024.

A group of friends picked the cruise and invited us to join them so we're crossing over to the X-side. We'll have Elite status as reciprocity for our D+ on Royal.
