  1. @Geraldo086 that would be good, I'm thinking of ordering a test in the UK and bringing it with us, just need to ensure I bring the right one!!
  2. Gerard Keen to see the answer to this, we're staying for 3 days in Miami before the cruise so will have the same problem.
  3. This is taken from the UK site so depending when you booked you may be eligible “Best Price Guarantee” program ensures guests receive benefits equivalent to our best rate and/or promotion available for their cruise up to 48-hours prior to departure. Program applies to bookings created before 31 October 2021 for sailings prior to 30 April 2022. Guests or Travel Partners who find a lower rate published for the same eligible cruise can submit an online request to receive 100% of the price difference applied to their booking as an Onboard Credit for onboard or pre-cruise purchases. Eligible bookings paid in full prior to a claim will receive a refund back to the payment method on file. Eligible bookings made with a Future Cruise Certificate (“FCC”) outside final payment at claim will receive an FCC for the fare difference. FCC bookings within final payment period will receive OBC for the fare difference. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/gbr/en/terms-and-conditions/promotions
  4. Completely underwhelmed by the offering from Southampton, it's Groundhog day, same ship, same itineraries, so much for the extra capacity Michael Bayley was confident would happen https://travelweekly.co.uk/news/cruise/royal-caribbean-will-be-adding-capacity-into-the-uk
  5. Re Royal V Celebrity, once you add in the drinks package and wi-fi the price difference is suprisingly small, that was our experience on our recent UK cruises. But completely agree with @twangsterfewer children and fewer bells and whitsles on Celebrity, have to say throughly enjoyed both and have booked both again.
  6. From their website, currently unknown https://www.royalcaribbean.com/gbr/en/faq/questions/do-i-need-a-covid-vaccine-to-cruise-what-counts-as-proof "At this time, we have not yet determined our health and safety protocols for 2022 sailings departing from Europe. Guests will be advised of specific requirements via email before setting sail."
  7. Not sure that's correct in England, I believe this weeks rules are you can leave the home you share but should test every day From the NHS website :- When you do not need to self-isolate If you live with or have been in contact with someone with COVID-19, you will not need to self-isolate if any of the following apply: you're fully vaccinated – this means 14 days have passed since your final dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine you're under 18 years and 6 months old you're taking part or have taken part in an approved COVID-19 vaccine trial you're not able to get vaccinated for medical reasons Even if you do not have symptoms, you're strongly advised to: do daily rapid lateral flow tests (1 a day for 7 days), if you’re fully vaccinated, to protect yourself and others from COVID-19 There's every chance this will change a number of times before your trip
  8. Not sure why but I never seem to get the C&A emails, just the standard Royal Caribbean ones. Not sure how I can recieve them as my marketing prefrences in the app are to recieve them, or am I looking in the wrong place?
  9. Personally I'd be happy for people who refuse to follow the protocols they agreed to when booking the cruise to be removed from the ship. Why should they be allowed to potentially impact others on the ship?
  10. Have to say this is very short sighted, can see an awful lot of overseas travellers cancelling their cruises. As if all the testing involved with cruising wasn't stressful enough we'll now how to source a test and recieve the results in the few hours between leaving the ship and checking in for the flight home.
  11. Embarrassingly for us Brits most Dutch people speak better English than most British people do!!
  12. Looks like it's due for delivery in 2024 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Caribbean_International#Oasis_class https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/cruise-ship-orderbook.html#:~:text=The global cruise ship orderbook lists all confirmed, April 20 more rows
  13. MSC have just followed suit, how long before all cruise lines do the same https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/26289-msc-cruises-to-require-all-guests-to-be-fully-vaccinated.html
  14. Just checked our 2022 sailings, only thing that was cheaper was Voom on our Anthem sailing in May, DBP and speciality restaurants were more expensive on boths sailings . Booked Voom but will keep checking the others.
  15. Have to say 30% off the DBP is a little underwhelming
  16. Just watched the attached interview with Michael Bayley, he confirms his expectation that in the future they will have an additional ship for the UK market (around 9:30 into the interview), he stated that's a given, but didn't confirm timescales. Happy times ahead for us Brits https://travelweekly.co.uk/news/cruise/i-see-the-uk-market-continuing-to-grow-and-royal-caribbean-will-play-a-big-part-in-that
  17. We had aluminium screw top bottles on Celebrity earlier this year, perhaps they're adopting them across both brands, we much prefered them over the traditional can.
  18. Brilliant, that was all I nneded to justify me booking a 2023 cruise, not sure my better half is convinced that was a good reason but I've got 20 months to persuade her it was
  19. As it was a UK cruise in October there were plenty of available loungers on the pool deck , the inside pool and solarium were busier but we always found a couple of loungers. Nowhere on the ship felt crowded, not even We Will Rock You, though they did perform it twice.
  20. Just spent 5 days on Anthem with 1699 other passengers, heaven
  21. Celebrity have just released some of theirs today, Austrailia/New Zealand, Alaska, Pacific Coast and Mexico, would imagine Royal wouldn't be far behind them.
  22. It does for the UK, first time that I can remember it being available to us.
  23. Excellent, it says we're working on the fun for our July sailing but at least it's not greyed out anymore
  24. They did the same on Celebrity Silhouette in the UK when we had a case on board ealier this year
  25. So it's not just us then, not sure why as we subscribe to their marketing e-mails, but then again they're pretty infrequent.
