JimnKathy
Say a prayer of extreme gratitude that we live in a world where amazing vaccines can be created and distributed so quickly to help save so many lives and help us get back to "normal". Then, it's off to the first bar we can find to have an "embarkation" cocktail and get the B2B cruise party started on Symphony. JSB_Z51
A little lunch on embarkation day, then leave my wife to roam the ship and get us organized while the kids and I hit the flowrider and water slides. PhantomWolf
DJsMrs
Wow - glad to see crying is a common response and I'm not alone! When I booked my son's first shot I burst into tears on the phone and the nurse says "happy tears" me "yea" her "that's good - let it out, you're not alone I really do get this response a lot" lol. Maybe the ships should have giant tissue boxes beside the hand sanitizers as we all board! Followed with bubbly! CrznTxn
Order the drink of the day and then a slow walk through the entire ship reacquainting ourselves with our home away from home that we have not visited since January ‘19 and hoping we see some familiar faces. Stand by the Starboard railing watching the dolphins swimming by. Bowen
I'm going to grab a drink and then stand on the deck looking out over the port. I don't even care that I won't be looking out over the ocean, lol. I cannot wait to feel that railing under my hands again! PG Cruiser
Here's another thing I imagine myself doing as soon as they let passengers into the stateroom. I'd lie down on the bed and make "snow angels" (or "sheet angels") coneyraven, PPPJJ-GCVAB and PhantomWolf 1

WRSmith2PhD
Long time lurker and decided to join the site in order to respond. My wife I have love the responses thus far, especially tears for joy, drink of the day, etc. We're seriously considering getting a $50 in singles, writing "We're so glad we're back, THANK YOU!" and handing each out to members of the crew we see -- greeters, cleaning crew, flow rider staff, soft serve attendants, Washy Washy staff, etc. We can't wait for our 11/14/21 Allure trip with family and friends. coneyraven, PhantomWolf, Matt and 4 others 6
CruisingOz
Jump in the pool so people can't see me crying with joy. Float on back and soak up the rays, and be so thankful I can finally cruise again. Oh, and follow this up quickly with a Kraken Lava Flow; then I know I am truly on board. steverk
Lots of great ideas for the first thing. I'm going to be on Celebrity Millennium on Saturday , so I'm going to have to give it some additional thought. The extra tipping sounds like a really great idea! MaryCS62
Our's isn't till January -- Anthem out of Bayonne, timed to fall between mine & my husband's 60th birthdays. Hope by then they'll have worked out all the kinks, in terms of masks, distancing, etc, and we can just have a good time! We're all vaxxed, & I may even need to get a booster by then, but we will do what it takes to go! Our usual is lunch, drinks, drop off carry-ons in the room, and probably watch sail-away from our balcony, or 270-- it will be a might chilly to be outside PhantomWolf
Cakemeister
I think I'll get our picture taken as we walk from the boarding area to the ship. We never do that, it'll be a form of celebration. Ampurp85
My first time back, Oct 31st on Allure, will be with 3 newbies in a GS. My first thing will be to hopefully enjoy cookies in the suite lounge. Then it will be to sit on the balcony and enjoy the sights as we leave. Watching embarkment from my balcony is my most favorite thing. PhantomWolf and DJsMrs
JasonOasis
The first thing I'm going to do is just stand on promenade of Symphony thank the good Lord and just take it all in. This my sound cliche but I'll be a lot more appreciative because this situation has opened my eyes to how quickly a government agency can take away our ability to cruise. Afterwards I'm heading straight to Windjammers or Park Cafe to eat. PhantomWolf and coneyraven
Momof4crazytocruise
First stop Schooner Bar for a roadie, the up to the top deck to soak in the sun and offer up a prayer of thanks to the Cruise gods that I came out of this in one piece and that I am finally back to my favorite vacation. Then lunch, and then it's frozen mojitos on repeat on the pool deck until I feel bold enough to line dance at the sail away party. coneyraven
I'll probably start crying just by seeing the gangway .... although, the cheerleader in me just might have to come up with something to get everyone in line riled up...... let the party start in the terminal and carry over to the actual boarding of the ship --- Give Me an "O", Give Me and "A", and so on. I'd do a Faceplant into a plate of Escargot if given the chance. JimnKathy, WesKinetic, Momof4crazytocruise and 2 others 4
Floski
Oh man.... With this Sicilian blood, I guarantee I'll be boo-hooing my fat butt off, probably as I walk the gangway. 1) Get a squirt of sanitizer (i can't stand the stuff, but I'm all in for cruising) B) Take in such a huge breath that people within 100' will feel the breeze headed toward me 3) Get a drink (still not sure what'll be first (kraken colada, painkiller, mai tai?) 4) Walk through Central Park, grab a second drink and maybe a sammich, and head up to the Solarium. 5) Give the Solarium bar tender a tip first, then get a drink and hit the hot tub. I hope to stay in until dinner. PPPJJ-GCVAB, coneyraven, PhantomWolf and 1 other 3
