Be careful with the grapefruit water. I can't believe how many medications, including OTC meds, that grapefruit interacts with in a bad way!

Take motion sickness meds one day "before" embarkation, not trying to "see" if I will feel anything ... even if it was Oasis!  The first few days were rough ... no pun intended!

I use essential oils and just put the drops in my water.   I've used it for years and zero impacts...but thanks for the info.  ?

That you need to keep checking the cruise planner to get the best prices, and that you can cancel a sale and repurchase if the price goes lower (sometimes only for a few hours).

But if you are a non us citizen this doesnt always work. We repriced our dining package and I lost 50$ on the exchange rate for my refund before I repurchased . Still won overall but not as much as expected .

I wish I had known that you can load money to your slot machine from your seapass card at no fee - then cash in the voucher for whatever you loaded to your card instead of using an ATM and paying a fee. We wanted just another $50 to spend ashore and didn't know that trick so ended up paying an ATM fee. My family member that was cruising with me showed me that trick after we left port and the casino reopened. Was kicking myself for that one even though it wasn't a huge deal.

Better yet if you have the DBP you can have as many Johnny Rockets Milkshakes you want for free!  I no longer wait in line for ice cream.  I hit up JRs for a milkshake instead.

That's an awesome alternative.  I would be on-board with that.  But you would have a tough time convincing my wife that a shake is better than a soft serve cone...

Did anyone else read the title of the thread and hear @Matt's voice say "Get ready to hear the Top Ten things that experienced cruises wish they had known before their first cruise............UP NEXT!!!"

While I sit in timeout from posting, I am going to watch the replay of last night's live stream.   :9_innocent:  ?

We wish we would have known how much our kids would love the RC youth clubs and activities, how much great sans-kids time my wife and I were able to spend together because of that, and what an amazing value the complimentary clubs are. We would have started cruising years earlier had we known.

I wish I had known about the green apples and ginger seasickness remedy.  I remember on my first cruise WAY back when, I stared out my porthole at the waves.  Not at the horizon, at the waves.  For HOURS.  I got SOOO motion sick.  I was given a shot from the ship's doctor that knocked me out for 5 hours, but I was SO much better afterwards.  Now I was a teen at the time so I have no clue how much it cost my parents for the shot, but it was worth it, for me.

And I learned my lesson the next cruise.  I ate green apples and took a little crystalized ginger at the first sign of queasiness, and no sea sickness.  I could stare at the waves without any issue.

After that I started taking bonine or would get the patch from my doctor.  The patch does make me a bit drowsy, but it works for me.  Bonine for me is a bit hit or miss.  Essentially I need something that knocks me out and then I'm good or the green apples and ginger.  I wish they made a green apple and ginger smoothie for seasickness onboard, because there's something magical about that combination for me

That I did not need to pack so many clothes.  pack packing GIF

Wish my wife agrees with this. She still brings 2 bags and garment bag. With airline luggage fees, it can really add up. I only bring 1
