Yes, it took us 3 hours in line to get the rental car.

🤯 At this point you were probably happy just to get a vehicle. We generally rent through Enterprise and they provide an option to check in online. You input payment details etc and you get to bypass the counter (and all the lines) and head straight to the vehicle pickup area in the parkade. In and out in minutes.  Not sure if the others offer something similar but we love this feature.

Hope  you were both able to get some rest and also enjoy Disney Springs.

Btw, what happened to your luggage?  Were you able to pick it up from MCO?

On our last cruise during March break, we followed your advice and did the 1 luggage checked in with evening wear and bigger toiletries, and then we each had carry on with the bulk of our stuff.  Worked very well...And looks like it is good for this time around for you too.

I am so late to this party. Life has been so crazy I have not had time to peruse the blogs for weeks, and this is what I come back to!!

@Lovetocruise2002 first off, Happy Anniversary, I'm sorry that it started out with such a stressful journey to Florida. At least you will have a nice week on the ship to recover!

Reading all the pre-cruise stuff on packing had me laughing so hard. I'm like Justin, I can pack the day before we leave in about 15 minutes. It take The Boss much longer. She loves her new Beis luggage BTW, thanks for the suggestion.

I really look forward to reading along for the rest of your trip.

Overpriced amazing cookies...

We passed on the cookies as it was too close to dinner 😉

Now just think if you did not have Disney plans and you would fly the regular day before ...

I know 😬 Hubby and I were actually discussing today during the drive if we should start considering two days before (like what @twangster said). Sad that airlines are so not dependable these days.

for your sake i hope you don’t drink but SLEEP and have a banner day tomorrow

I feel asleep in the car as we drove back from dinner lol. Too much to see and do, we are finally calling it a night now. I just did some calculations and I have been up for over 40 hours!

Tell her no problem! Although you probably don’t see it that way haha

Had to try out El Patron for dinner. One because of the name, you know I love Patron, and also because they have fried ice cream. Dinner was great. The place has a live DJ who Hubby really liked. Food was huge portions! And fried ice cream was yummy. We still miss La Bamba but not a bad substitute if you are looking for a place to eat in Orlando near Disney.

You could have taken them back to your hotel… just like I take ship cookies back to my cabin. I have a big ziploc bag of cookies at all times. 😁

El Patron sounds familiar but wife won’t go near Mexican (except when forced to eat at Sabor on Harmony last year) so definitely haven’t been there. Looks good.

EDIT: After googling I realized exactly where El Patron is… about 15 mins down the road from me.

Hubby is having a blast at Galaxy’s Edge! We got here early for rope drop. Have been able to ride Rise of the Resistance twice (once on standby at rope drop and once using our Lightning lane), same with Smuggler’s Run. Will upload pics much later but I’ve been post stuff throughout on Instagram stories (@lovetocruise2002).

Great (but busy) day at Hollywood Studios today. Most of our day was spent in Galaxy’s Edge as Hubby had no real interest in the rest of the park.

It was hot, but Hubby had a great time. As a non-Disney, non-Star Wars fan, I have to say, they did an impressive job with Galaxy’s Edge.

Genie+/Lightning Lane worked great for us. Allowed us to ride the rides multiples times. Going in at 7:15am for rope drop and early hours helped too. The first hour or so the crowds were pretty thin.

Since Hubby knew that we would be going back again later tonight, we decided to leave around 1:30pm after visiting Oga’s Catina. Had to get out of the heat for a bit. Headed back to the hotel for a short nap & shower and then decided to swing by the Vineland Premium Outlets for about two hours.

I posted videos to Instagram, on my story because they don’t upload well here. Some pics of our day, in no particular order because I am super tired  😉

Ended up at Crafty Crab for dinner. I know this is a chain restaurant but we have never tried it before and it looked like the sort of thing we would like. We love crab legs and if you don’t mind getting your hands dirty when you eat, we highly recommend this place. It was delicious! Hubby even said that he would rank it up there with La Bamba but I said one step down, because no fried ice cream lol

Checking out of the hotel now. Hannah said she would make contact the morning and she just did a few minutes ago, around 8:30am. The plan is drive to Port Canaveral, drop off the car at Enterprise, and take their shuttle to the port.

I just noticed this on the app, is it new?

Happy Cruise Day!!!

I'm not a Disney/Star Wars fan as well, but like you said, I can see they did an impressive job there. I'm glad you guys had a good time. Will I ever go? Probably not, thankfully my kids aren't big Star Wars fans either. Keeping The Boss out of Magic Kingdom....thats a different battle.....That I lose...

We made it on board in record time! 10:20am and we were already in our room.

Boarding beginning before 10:30 seems to be a trend at this point. Hopefully it's a permanent thing for Wonder/PC. Even though us commoners wait for our rooms to be ready around 1-2pm, we still like to get onboard as early as possible.

There is also Vellamo in the room so let’s see what happens later this week when I ask for a refill 😉

I'm the "everyone has their preferences and cruises for different reasons so don't judge" guy... but the value you guys place on water cracks me up. I love it. 🤣

Gotta go take a sip from the tap water I filled an empty water bottle with and had in the fridge now. 😱

Backtracking a bit….

Dropping off the car rental at Enterprise on Mullet Road was a breeze. We handed the keys over, headed over the area where it said “cruise shuttles” and someone was there in less than 5 minutes to take us to the port. This was the first time we ever made it to port so early. We were at the terminal just before 10am.

Much like Terminal A in Miami, and like what Hannah said, there is a Star Class podium there. From there, porters took our luggage and the pier agent at the podium checked our names on her list and escorted us through security and upstairs to check in. Hannah met us very shortly afterwards. Both Hannah and Judy (the pier agent) told us that Wonder boards very early. Sure enough, by 10:10am the B2B cruisers headed on and then we did. We were in our room by 10:20am and Hannah sat with us for a bit to chat and review star class benefits. She is quite personable already. Looking forward to getting to know her this week.

Water is not just water lol. There is definitely a difference. I am big on drinking water so I guess that is why I place value on it. Ok, I am a water snob too 😂
