barjpoe Posted November 11, 2021 Report Posted November 11, 2021 Just read that Royal is considering bringing back self-serve in the Windjammer. Want to get consensus/opinions on it. Yea/Nay I vote Nay; I like that the crew is doing the serving. I've seen to many not washing hands, using the serving utensils in multiple dishes (possible contamination), picking up food with their hands, or picking it up then deciding that they didn't want it and put it back; to name just a few. cruisellama and TropicalTom 1 1 Quote

Sorry! Delete the above entry! I thought there was somewhere to edit What I wanted to ask what are the meanings of the different Alert Codes we hear on the ship. I know ALPHA, ALPHA is for Medical emergencies. Sounds like BRAVO, BRAVO is for Ship related problems Are there others? CruisingOz 1 Quote

egd207 Posted November 11, 2021 Report Posted November 11, 2021 I vote NAY on the return to self serve, People cannot be trusted to not touch food and put back, Lick spoon (gross), or multiple other offenses. And just touching a serving utensil after many people have already touched makes me squeamish. Quote

Crumb Posted July 5, 2024 Report Posted July 5, 2024 Anyone know what ultra ultra ultra is for? They made a very loud ultra alert in the middle of the night, waking a lot of people. It was very loud, and repeated several times. It was associated with a cabin number. there had been an alpha alpha alpha early in the cruise, and I figured it was some kind of medical emergency. Based on previous replies here, it looks like I was correct. But I can’t find ultra ultra ultra anywhere, and I’m figuring it must be really bad. Carlos A. 1 Quote
