Threads live forever! My issue is I have sleeping difficulties at home. But onboard I sleep much better. Even in very heavy seas when I’m getting pushed around, I still seem to sleep a lot better while on a ship. I asked my doctor, solely in the interest of my health and wellbeing, to write a prescription for me to cruise as much as possible…but my cheapskate insurance company still won’t pay for my cruises. Yes, also on night 7! I'll let you know. Tomorrow night is Wonderland. Thursday, we have our rescheduled pickleball lesson, laser tag AND a Headliner show, Mark Preston, all after dinner.5 points

I notice I can now use Air2Sea to book flights for the cruises in Australia and New Zealand with the option to pay later for economy and premium economy. Previously it used to say not available in your region.5 points

Speaking of the Windjammer... I did not feel like dressing up for the MDR, so we ate dinner tonight in the Windjammer. Truly scrumptious, and the service is quite good. Don't know if it's just this ship that has higher standards. Or if Royal is improving across the board. Either way. I am very pleased.5 points -

I love that the Windjammer is an option when you don't feel like being in the MDR or shelling out for specialty dining. I've never had a bad meal there or bad service. On Freedom a few weeks ago, I even got to sit near a cute baby that was smiling at me throughout my dinner. Also, ALWAYS a great view out the windows instead of being stuck in the middle of multitudes of people in the MDR sometimes!4 points -
It took me forever to try a ranger cookie for this same reason, but eventually you all convinced me and now I love them! But I've only seen them the first night. I need to check Park Cafe. I have really spent no time in Central Park this sailing at all yet.4 points

So funny enough I always walk through the WJ just in case they have those donuts. I loved them, the ones with a smidge of cinnamon sugar and that chocolate sauce are to die for.4 points

there are a few random places outside that aren’t magnetic — but you’ll figure that out pretty quickly. obviously if it’s hella windy/you’re at sea (or they’re doing cleaning) maybe don’t put EVERYTHING out there. a lot of times i will hang my dress for the night so that the wrinkles will release in the humidity. AT WHAT POINT DOES THE MADNESS END.4 points -
I call my wife picky, and she is, but you guys have a vendetta against certain items, lol. I love it. For the record, it was nothing special, but there were no raisins in my apple cobbler on Wonder.4 points

I got these adorable ducks but never printed tags so I'm about to handwrite something and use little clear hairbands to attach them. My husband had to do some work today so he parked himself in the upper deck of Dazzles where he was in air conditioning but could still see out of a window (he likes to have a full table when he's working.) He mentioned at lunch that he was having trouble finding a spot and my daughter took it as a personal challenge to find him somewhere.4 points

Good point! I only pay for RCL related items such as Bookings and packages on the RC Visa card. I never stopped to calculate my card redemption values. Thank you all for your input. I am going to rething this and switch to an actual % cash back card. This is exactly why I put my questions out there !3 points -

Cozumel was quite warm today. Mid eighties, but with huge humidity numbers. I bought some airplane-size bottles of gin from the duty free store. I thought a dollar each was a bargain, but then the lady said they were having a promotion. Thirty bottles for 10 dollars. Really. Hope it's legitimate stuff.3 points -
Alllure-two weeks ago: Didn’t eat at every option. So here’s our breakdown of what we did try. Couple trips to WJ and it was decent. Selection was good and nothing looked “stale”. Got cook out plates (burgers and dogs) and it was good. Chops- steak was good but also the worst of the cruise. Tender but the seasoning was “off”. Lobster was good. No complaints on sides but shrimp cocktail was rather small compared to the “before” times. Giovanni’s- not sure how to do this one because they made me chicken Alfredo so I’ll use the rest of the party’s meal. Steaks were amazing. Sides and apps were good. Eggplant parm was a disaster (pg-13 version of her comment). Izumi- just amazing. Mic drop. 150 Central Park- best overall meal of the trip followed closely by Izumi. Staff were amazing. Prob the best filet I’ve had in a long time. Lobster thermador was amazing but I feel could be better….. Vintages- tapas- quality depended upon the time of the evening you ordered. The earlier the better. Dog house- only had brats. Worried about fresh bread. Bread was fine. Kraut was generic but good. Overall, good for free but I wouldn’t pay. Chefs table- I’m mixed on this as it’s nothing really original or frankly awesome food-wise. Don’t get me wrong it was good. The pairings make the meal imo was well as having an awesome sommelier. We’re about 50/50 on doing it again. room service or star class food coma enablers- we never ordered it except for breakfast. We didn’t have anything that was complaint worthy but I’m also not sure where exactly the food was coming from (mdr, speciality, etc). Overall good rating. overall, I came into this trip expecting average at best food. I’d give it an overall above average to good rating. My best example is that my FIL who is an extremely picky eater actually got out and tried some new things and was happy.3 points

In no apparent order... In the Crown Lounge, there's a virtual real-time video screen of the outside scenery. Today it's Cozumel. And, there are no longer ship magnets available for much of the fleet. I now buy key chains and glue magnets to the backs when I'm home. And a video itinerary in the elevator lobby.3 points

Royal Caribbean Group Reports Strong 2023 Results and Forecasts Record Earnings for 2024 (yahoo.com) They need to pay off some more debt first. In the meantime, you can get onboard credit every time you cruise if you own 100 or more shares. That's sort of like a dividend.3 points -
Isn't it also like 2am on your way into work? Lunch at 9am would make sense for you, lol. Mentioning hoagies and breakfast makes me think of my favorite breakfast food cart at Penn 25 years later. Huge bacon egg n cheese on a hoagie roll.3 points

There's tons of options out there. If the point redemption for OBC was better it might be worth using the Royal one. I have a card that gives me 3% cash back on travel so that's a guaranteed 3% return on my slot machine room charges3 points -
Yup….Mushroom!! I’m gonna tell this one to my granddaughter for her to use in her daily announcements at school! She always ends it with a riddle…lol! Ugh. So sorry about your itinerary changes. And YES!!!! You got it. I think we were all feeling a little too silly to really focus, but we got as far as guessing kitchen, the outdoors, a Roomba, and some other stuff that made no sense.3 points

The MDR has been all over the place. Today was separate breakfast & lunch but day 2 was brunch (both sea days). Then port days, of course, just breakfast.3 points

Dinner was good! Taste of UK, which we didn't have last year. The only thing my family didn't like was the vegan ice cream sundae which my husband & son didn't realize was vegan. My kids started playing a game like 20 questions during dinner but broader and eventually everyone started guessing and some were ridiculous or we would keep guessing the same thing, forgetting we'd already said it, getting more and more out there with our guesses. It took us about 200 tries to get lasagne. I said lettuce 6 times, my husband kept saying salt. Then our waiter got involved and asked us "What is the only room in the world with no doors?" (Let's see if any of you can get it!) I'm feeling dumb for not realizing that the outside is also metal but I also have those awesome super strong clips you recommended and we've clipped a few things to the back of the chairs (which are SO much nicer than the deck chairs on Allure)3 points

Those ducks are cracking me up. That donut also makes me want donuts. The family photos are beautiful, and everyone looks happy. Sucks about brunch, I stay away from apple crumbles on ships because the crumble is always bad and now there are raisins to worry about....no thank you.3 points

Looks like you are having a great time with the kids and old wise ones! Looking forward to the second half of your trip. If you have any more ducks, try putting one in a hard-to-find spot and let me know the general area. I'll try to find it when we get on board on Easter. We will probably re-hide it as we have a ton of easter ducks we are bringing.3 points -

My parents left their Freestyle cups on the MDR table at lunch and guest services replaced them for free! I thought that was a really nice gesture. We tried to track them down but with no luck. We came across a small vessel this morning that didn't respond to hails. So we slowed, stopped, turned around came back to it, and sent an emergency craft over. Turns out it was just a loose boat that had floated to here with no one aboard. I've smelled a bad sewer smell twice, briefly. The weather is lovely. Hot, yes, but in the shade, with a bit of breeze, just amazing to sit out on my balcony and type this and watch + listen to the water. This is the furthest south I've ever been and I'm glad it is March rather than April.3 points

We've been missing the Boardwalk Donuts so I got room service breakfast yesterday before our excursion and ordered a chocolate donut @OCSC Mike! This was the best donut I've ever had on a cruise ship. It was fresh, soft and still a little warm but with that harder chocolate on top. Delish!! Although I wouldn't have used the room service if I had gotten Jamaican time correct. Oh, @Ampurp85 , I think you like these too?3 points
