  1. I had to specifically tell Next Cruise not to use my TA on my last trip because I wanted to use my instant certificate and book directly with Club Royale. As @WAAAYTOOO mentioned, TA's don't get much commission on casino bookings, so I just do them myself. Next Cruise does not necessarily know, or care, if you are setting up a normal reservation or are booking through a casino offer, so the default in their system is to use your current TA for the trip you are currently on. I actually had to initial a section on the Next Cruise form that specifically said I do not want to use my TA for the booking when I was working with the onboard Next Cruise agent.
  2. Thats what is strange, I was on the boardwalk hiding them when this happened.
  3. No different than the ducks they are showing being hidden in their official video. They even hide them in the plants there.
  4. Thanks for sharing. I definitely hid my ducks in a more covert manner than they show in the video. Maybe they should just come out and share some duck hiding rules so we can come to a middle ground.
  5. The one thing I could think of would be using the hiding place as way to pass drugs or something else. That would definitely be a threat for a little kid that stumbled upon it.
  6. Just got home after a X-Mas cruise on Harmony. Overall, we had a great trip. As usual, we brought a lot of ducks onboard to hide and to hand out to the little ones. I like to hide them in places that are not too easy to find, yet at the same time, try and respect boundaries of the ship and avoid hiding them in places people should not walk or could cause problems for normal ship operations. I noticed a few times that the security team was rushing in to claim my ducks immediately after hiding them. I placed one on the boardwalk in the plants of the planting pots separating Sabor from the exit to the Abyss slide. A security team member rushed in within a minute or two, held up the duck in the air, and I could hear her saying over her handheld "It's just a duck." I imagine she was holding it up for the cameras to see. She did place my duck back where it was, but by that time, the hiding spot was reviled to those passing by and was no longer a fun or challenging find. This made me start to think later. Security was definitely doing their job and making sure I had not placed anything bad in the planter. They were doing nothing more than making sure the ship remained safe. I took time and resources away from the security team as they went to investigate. They also assumed the hidden object was a potential threat until it was verified safe. I have no hard feelings about security for doing this. Security never approached me about it, but still, it kind of made me feel silly for creating work for security. I just wanted to share this experience as it kind of made me think twice about it. The duck game is meant to be a fun game, but when security starts getting involved, it kind of starts to take away from the fun.
  7. Not sure how bar staff would unopen a can of beer.
  8. I am jealous. I would love to be re-routed to Labadee.
  9. This is the best list for Mocktails I have seen, thanks for sharing!
  10. I usually try to skip the brig. I hear the service and food there is terrible.
  11. Bags packed. X-Mas Presents packed to put under the tree (yes, I am bringing a skinny X-Mas tree). I have about 200 ducks labeled and ready to hide. Found an awesome Ugly Christmas Shirt for the Ugly Sweater night. I am ready to board this weekend!
  12. LOL. I am sure Jimmy Buffett would be happy to know you were enjoying a cheeseburger in paradise!
  13. Probably would be easier to separate and seat the fashion police in a separate area.
  14. Their online reservation system has a lot of limitations. 4 stateroom limit, cannot add 5 or more guests to a room even when the room allows it, not being able to book minors in their own room even though they are next to parents room, not being able to book a room if you are under 21 but married or active-duty military, and the list goes on. All reasons to use a TA or call royal directly. If you want a group rate on your own with 8 or more rooms, you will have to call it in or use a TA, no way around it.
  15. It stayed open 24/7 last time I was on Adventure. Just nothing more than pastries, fruits, and sweets after the pizza line shuts shown until about 6:30 or so the next morning when they start bringing out the breakfast sandwiches.
