  1. Glad you were able to save some money. One thing I learned to is to ask if they have GTY incentives when you call in. Last trip on Symphony, they gave me about $300 for doing a GTY ocean balcony instead of picking my own. GTY's are not too bad in my opinion for the higher category rooms.
  2. Sort of. Apple tends to encourage developers to use the latest major version of the iOS when compiling their apps, which most developers do. It does not stop users of older iOS versions from downloading and using older versions of their Apps for older iOS versions. However, if the developer changes APIs or data structures in their newer app, or takes advantage of newer iOS features, the older apps can become useless as they no longer can communicate properly with the servers. Apple likes to control the user experience as much as it can. Since they control the hardware and the iOS, they can do this pretty effectively and force users to conform. Their target goal is to get users to replace their hardware every 2 to 3 years. This sucks, because their hardware is actually really good and has potential for a longer lifespan if it is cared for.
  3. The original iPhone X is not supported with iOS 17. iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max are. Apple only guarantees 5 years of iOS updates, and the iPhone X was discontinued 6 years ago. OP is going to have a lot of apps that won't work over the next few months unfortunately.
  4. I was able to get a shuttle from Port Canaveral to MCO as we walked off the ship with no reservations and paying the shuttle service at the port. Granted MCO is not an exciting place to spend a few hours waiting, but you do have options for getting back to the Airport from the port. We have had excursions canceled because of lack of interest before, which I suspect may be your case.
  5. Absolutely in my opinion. We got in for $22.99 per person a few weeks ago as the price dropped last minute before our cruise. We really enjoyed the heated pool and spent most of our time in there. It was our first time to experience Hideaway Beach since it opened. My wife and I both agreed that anything $50 or less per person is a no brainer for Hideaway Beach for our future trips.
  6. I think they use White Night to prank people. On my last trip, White Night corresponded with Italian night in the MDR. Saw quite a lot of people that dressed up with red stains after dinner.
  7. What's the price say in the picture? My old eyes are having trouble reading it and it gets blurry when I zoom in.
  8. I was too, but it wasn't the first breach I have been victim too either. I have put freezes on all of my credit bureaus for this reason and monitor other things I cannot freeze. I called the FTC a few years ago and was told there is nothing they really could do about this unless actual identity frauds occurs using my data (which it hasn't yet -- fingers crossed).
  9. Our trip during the tail end of spring break was exactly the opposite on Symphony. There were a ton of families with kids on the ship. We were rerouted from Labadee and shared Coco Cay with Oasis, so two oasis class ships. Hideaway dropped in price dramatically a few days before the sale planner closed and we were able to get is for $22.95 a person. The water park was maxed out around $200 per person if I remember right. There was absolutely no crowd in Hideaway beach the day we went and my wife and I had a blast. Dynamic pricing and supply and demand definitely kicked in here.
  10. The good news is that if you stay in the hot tub long enough on the ship, your fingers will be too pruned to be able to use for biometrics.
  11. These offers types are strange and not well documented with Club Royale. I would just call the casino line and ask them directly. Never hurts to ask.
  12. Weird. I reset mine to the same password when I first saw the problem yesterday, and I could not log on. I just tried resetting it now to test after seeing your message and see the same thing you do now. I'm not going to jinx things anymore and just let it be. I still have my old password working, which is good enough for me right now.
  13. Not many cash discounts here. Most merchants assume the extra fees as a cost of doing business and price their items around them. The real losers are the ones that pay cash with these merchants because there is no discount. Try walking into a local Kroger or Costco and try bargaining with the cashier about why you should be getting a discount for paying cash. It's just not going to happen in Texas.
