We already know I go wherever the included food is but some of those drinks look voucher-worthy to me.

That’s what I have been trying to do. Try drinks that are at the new bars that I cannot get on other ships, and use my D+ vouchers.

Let’s not get overly excited lol

I keep taking advantage of The Grove while I can.

I have not been there much, not since fireworks. I know, shocker. I need to get back there soon.

How crowded are the pools? And how about water temperature.

No clue. I am going to let someone else answer this one. Not a public pool person, and don’t plan to test the water in one 😉

How is the temperature in different inside spaces? I usually get cold in the dining room and at shows in different cruises. Is it advisable to wear light jacket inside the ship? (This seems always so sad to me , such a waste of energy, hope in icon is better)

I actually find this ship less cold compared to other Royal ships (in all the public areas). But it’s not hot, just not freezing like some of the other ships. The only place I truly felt cold was last night in the theatre.

What I want to know is if they've gone away with paper cruise compass's entirely, or can you still get them and what do they look like?

Anything special or are they the standard cruise compass you'd find on any other ship?

They're standard..nothing fancy. We have one somewhere in the room. If I remember I will try and nab a photo or make @CGTLH do it.

The little things that matter to me. Last night in the SL, I asked Joel (a bartender there) if he could make a Lavender Martini. He said they did not have the syrup. So after some back and forth, and lots of laughs, he made me some unknown martini of his own creation. It was pretty good, and I called it Joel’s martini. Today, after my crepe and Hibiscus Tea from Rye & Bean, I stopped by the SL to grab a bottle of water. Joel was there, he passed over a bottle of water, and then proceeded to show me a brand new bottle of lavender syrup. He said it’s for when I return later tonight. These are the little things, that go a long way with me. ❤️

That is great customer service. Above and beyond!

Agreed. The best story like that I have from recent memory was on Indy in 2022. On the morning of day 2 we asked the the crew member who puts out the CL (then DL) breakfast if there were any chocolate croissants (wife's favorite). He couldn't find any and we barely saw him all week (I usually just grab my coffee and maybe a pastry and leave). I went to get my coffee on the morning of day 6 and the concierge had a covered plate with 4-5 chocolate croissants left for my wife by that crew member. I'm both amazed and grateful when a crew member goes out of their way to do something like that.

Hello people, thanks for all the information and experiences you are sharing. 2 questions:

. How crowded are the pools? And how about water temperature.

. How is the temperature in different inside spaces? I usually get cold in the dining room and at shows in different cruises. Is it advisable to wear light jacket inside the ship? (This seems always so sad to me , such a waste of energy, hope in icon is better)

Thanks so much!!

So the Cloud 17 pool was closed by 10 am this morning for cleaning, and remained closed all day.  Something. Happened. This put some extra pressure on the main pool and the Swim and Tonic,  but there were still loungers and beds around the main pool, and room in the pool. Swim & Tonic was busy, but we easily got seats at the bar at 4pm (had to catch Love & Marriage first).  I think I'm missing a pool. The Swim & Tonic pool was a nice temperature (I'm a freeze baby and thought it was good).

The temperature around the ship is very comfortable.  I've been neither hot nor cold anywhere, even Absolute Zero was comfortable and I had a sleeveless dress on.

Here's proof that paper Compasses exist.

It's a shame they didn't spruce them up or make them a bit fancier for the inaugural... you'd think being as ICONic as Icon is... they'd put in a lot more effort. Alas, it is what it is. Thanks Ashley.

That last bit about the departure details though 😭

Okay, now that I think about it, it could be that somebody broke a glass and dropped it in the pool.

But seriously, if you or someone you know has a 💩 in the pool problem, don't get in the pool. Don't let them get in the pool. Friends don't let friends 💩 in the pool.

Absolutely. It was a nice touch but that's all they had on offer..and a couple cold items of marinated olives, cheese, and cold cut plates that I failed to photograph.

It's open til 8:30pm per the app.

No downside but that makes it somewhat less appealing.

Tonight we watch Aqua Nation. It was only 30mins long. The typical Aqua theatre shows are 50 mins long. Makes me wonder if we saw the entire show, or if they are still working on parts of it.

We really liked this show. It has elements of Intense (Wonder) in it. The soundtrack was done really well for this, including music from Austin Powers, Aerosmith, Star Wars, Terminator, and Star Trek. There were two aerialist and that set was beautiful (video clips on IG), and 3 slack line guys. They had super high energy. Overall, this show was better than Intense. The energy was better, and the use of the robots and projections on the screens, made it quite the sight to watch.

Would anyone happen to know or be able to find out what the minimum bet at the blackjack table is in the High Limit section?  And is that section smoke free?  Maybe @CHRIS WONG

$100 and yes it's non-smoking..or at least the one by the casino host stand is. Not sure if there's another high limit area in the smoking section.

I don’t think that we are leaving the ship 🤦🏻‍♀️

I doubt I'd be getting off the ship at all in this case (OK, obviously I wouldn't skip the PDCC Snack Shack).

Our current M.O. is one lengthy port excursion and PDCC per cruise. Other than that we'll mostly stay on the ship unless we wanna just walk around the port for an hour or so.

That said, judging by the pic, you may not have been behind this decision. 🤣

The conversation went like this at dinner last night:

Hubby: What do you want to do in St. Kitts tomorrow?

Me: Well, we didn’t book an excursion but there is an Effy store right outside the pier. We could get off and walk around. It’s up to you.

Hubby: There is a stand up FlowRider session at 8am and mixed wave after that until 11am.

And you all know how that worked out 😂
