How fun that you're going to be on a cruise with some other RCB people and Matt! Hope you get to hang out (if that's your thing). Your brother is a much kinder person than me. Good on him. My guarantee rooms were literally assigned immediately after my TA booked them. It was kind of mind boggling because I see so many situations like yours where the room isn't assigned yet. Here's hoping you find out sooner rather than later.

Are you talking about the casitas located near the pool deck on the ships? If so, I did one on Freedom over Spring Break time. I paid $150 for it on a port day (I believe sea day was going for $450ish). I enjoyed it. You could definitely have people coming and going to visit/stay in the casita, and the bar service is pretty good until afternoon. Then it gets super crazy with people around and it goes downhill. It was definitely nice to have a reserved location out there to do whatever I wanted while in it. $500 seems like a lot since it's 9am-6pm, but that might just be me.

Exciting! I did this itinerary on Allure in July 2023 and loved it. You are a SAINT with the homeschooling - I had to do 1+ years with my kiddos during Covid and it almost broke me. They were doing 3rd/4th and 5th/6th at that time. No more math...please...white flag... Curious to see what you think of Paradise Beach. Would love to do it next time I'm in Cozumel!

And I get what he's saying about his eating habits - he should be able to do what he wants, when he wants, without people staring at the bottomless pit that he is. Kudos to him for making every morsel count. I got 11am for Freedom as well in March, but they started letting people on at 10:30am. The boarding area was accessible at 10am, if that makes any difference for you. Deck 2! I'm curious what your thoughts are going to be about being down there. I've often considered doing a room down there, but my TA said don't, it's got weird vibrations/sounds that turn most people off to being down there. SWA for the win! I too agree - why are they doing such weird things with their schedules lately? I had a trip booked to Cincinnati (business) in September and have to be there by 5pm that day, and they just resorted all the flights so that I'd arrive after 8pm. No thanks, I'll go with another airline, I guess. You would think they'd put more flights IN Chicago instead of not, but whatever. Didn't they say they were going to start doing red eyes at some point soon? WHERE IS THAT, SOUTHWEST?!?!??! WE'RE ALL WAITING. Sorry you have a 5am flight. Now I'm hungry for birthday cake...

I'm set to sail on Allure in September 2024. Back in October, I booked Sabor for Day 2 dinner. Today, I'm looking through the Cruise Planner and I see no option to now book Sabor. However, my Sabor reservation is still showing in my CP purchases, it hasn't been refunded to my credit card, and nothing else seems to be amiss. Is Sabor still on Allure in September? Do you think this is a RC snafu? A little confused and hoping someone knows the answer. TIA!

I just happened to click "Start Planning" for my Quantum OTS 11/2025 cruise (yes, 2025, not 2024). The Cruise Planner has stuff in it already! That has to be a record for opening up stuff early - we're 19 months in advance. The prices aren't great and there's ONE shore excursion listed (LOL), but you can see what's available. Anyone else seeing something similar?

That's really odd. Mine can still be adjusted, but are for a cruise in September. Is your cruise really soon?

I am DYING over here at the throw-me-in-a-furnace comment. Why not do it now and save the hassle of coming back on board some other time?

Absolutely with you on this. I've found it disturbingly useful in all kinds of places. Like yesterday, when I was sick, it was a nice place to put my water *by* the desk instead of on it (because I had to keep my sick supplies there). Disturbingly useful. #thanksbezos

This is exactly why I think I won my RU for spring break. I was in a regular balcony room, which they can definitely sell. The spacious balcony I moved to was definitely worth it!

I always wonder how many pinnacles there actually are among all the cruisers fleetwide. It has to be a substantial amount...

...and to make Freedom even better, I just booked another 4-night cruise in March 2026 on board. I'll be Diamond by then, so I'm excited for all the perks I'll get for this upcoming cruise!

I love that the Windjammer is an option when you don't feel like being in the MDR or shelling out for specialty dining. I've never had a bad meal there or bad service. On Freedom a few weeks ago, I even got to sit near a cute baby that was smiling at me throughout my dinner. Also, ALWAYS a great view out the windows instead of being stuck in the middle of multitudes of people in the MDR sometimes!

UGH, I had nice replies made and then my computer blipped. 1. I thought your description of Hiro was a fight on board, a la @Ampurp85's Allure sailing. Fight shenanigans! 2. My parents always let us try alcohol too, and that's probably why I'm such a lightweight (like @WAAAYTOOO). We joke at home that typically the only alcohol in the house is the wine for cooking. 3. Smoking on the balconies drives me BANANAS. I had it in September on Indy, but lucked out with Freedom earlier this month.

My cruise earlier this month had balconies going for cheaper than interiors at one point. Shocking, I know, but I think it's all due to inventory. In my cruise's case, it was spring break travel, probably by college students without a whole lot of cash.
