Pooch
Probably a stupid question but my offspring will probably spend a little time in the casino & I am willing to pay for the vacation but not that. Is there a method to pay without using your seapass card?

Is there a method to pay without using your seapass card? Sure. The casino will always accept cash. They will want to present their seapass cards so that their play can be tracked, but there will be no charge against the seapass card unless they request a cash advance. rjac
I gamble every day of my life without money. But to gamble with my money on a cruise ship, well, let's just say, that would be an extremely losing bet....and my wife has made that VERY clear and I have a very low tolerance for pain. Is there a method to pay without using your seapass card? You can either pay in cash as you go, or go to any table or slot machine and ask for a charge to your room. If you prefer you can also get a cash advance or your credit card at the cashier's window. Since my credit card is attached to my SeaPass it costs less just to charge it to your room. The good news is if you use your Sea Pass card every time you gamble you get rewards. Only paid for one cruise in our last 7 cruises. Casino Royale takes care of the folks that gamble. They make it very easy to get cash. GOOD LUCK EmptyNestTravels

Just a reminder to those that don't know: You don't need to PAY for gambling with your Sea Pass to get reward points. You can use cash and "Sign In" to a machine with your Sea Pass to gain reward points. YNOT and TXCoastPatriot

No. You will be automatically enrolled in the program by inserting your sea pass card into a machine or presenting it to the dealer/pit boss. My sister on the other hand wasn't as lucky in trying to reach her point goal. Flip side, I've been in the same situation of hundreds down with only a few points shy of the 100 point mark. Dicey
If you don't have to pay the fee charging to your room is the best option. With a good travel credit card on file for onboard charges you'll earn rewards. It's like a casino marker with better terms and cashback. Yes. Many times I've sat a machine and did a room charge for funds then not have a good feeling about that machine, cash out, then call it a night. Being smart, I'd usually cash out my ticket so I didn't forget about. Then suddenly the tables would be calling my name and next thing I know... As soon as they see your Sea Pass card they know exactly your money in/money out. We get free drinks in the casino on all cruises and 5 or 6 free cruise offers every month. My wife suggested we use our cards 4 years ago, never did it before. Kills me that she was so right. You do need to obviously gamble a decent amount, not trying to tell anybody to throw a 20 on a machine and you get everything. We are, I believe what they call Prime members in Casino Royale. Thaanks. Well….a lot depends on what kind of OBC you have. Refundable OBC can definitely be cashed out and I think (although I’ve never done it) you can actually cash out refundable OBC at Guest Services. I don’t think the casino cashier will cash out OBC anymore (I think they used to) but I never have anything to cash out so I am not sure. The one method that I think will work is to do a charge to your set sail pass on a slot machine and then cash that out at the cashier cage. I think there may be a limit to how much money you can cash out in this manner, but again, not sure. Sorry I’m not much help here. There’s no such thing as unused OBC in my world ! Lol. rjac
JDawg
My wife played with $1200 last month on the Odyssey and made almost 2600 tier points. Granted she lost all $1200 but she has gotten 2 more free offers since that cruise. We will be taking probably 6 cruises this year and 4 of them will be Casino Comps. Limit 500 per day on slot machine Xfer, forget the limit amount per cruise, but their is one Cashing out at the casino cage if not prime invokes 5% fee. Recently if you don't put at least ~40% of your onboard account xfer to slot machine at risk, the computer controlling xfers locks you from more xfer for 48 hours. Had that happen 2 now. Not real experianced, but casino host has told me on the first ship it was update to casino software. Didn't ask why on 2nd ship, but plan to try again on another ship to verify soon. Lesson for me take OBC from slot at max, $500 early in cruise so it times out before end of cruise YMMV Btw, I have started to play a little but my risk tolerance is pretty low. Am teaching myself its purchased entertainment, just like a move or a theater show, just the amount of time purchased may be variable.
