  1. Three tables and some slot machines. Looks like they put it together for the handful of complainers that cannot seem to live with just a non smoking half of the casino. The anti smoker crowd is a small but loud subsection of cruisers and I think they understand that.
  2. Good luck with that. Cruise lines know where the money comes from in the casinos. Discrimination is not a good thing.
  3. If they were to ban smoking, smokers would laugh and move on. Smokers do not need to pay for a vacation to be inconvenienced and definitely do not need a cruise line to push them to vaping. Most adults like to make their own decisions. Disney has banned all smoking in their parks, and they are getting hit with boycotts from smokers who will not drop a penny there.
  4. We were on the first cruise for Wonder. Large casino, half smoking and half non-smoking. Divided by the bar in the middle. Still had people complaining about smoke. Bottom line, if smoking bothers you, 95+% of the of the ship that is smoke free, go there.... Still not sure why RCL does not set up a couple of indoor bars for smokers, maybe even right off the casino floor. Smokers get one small section on the pool deck, usually way too small at the beginning of the cruise, which gets made bigger and bigger as the cruise goes on, as we expand it to suit. Then the ONLY place indoors iand comfortable for smokers s the casino. So until RC brings back its cigar bar or something like it, ignore all of the complainers who need not go into those bars if they choose not to, the cruise lines know where the casino money comes from and a boycott by smokers would put a big hit on the casino's bottom line. Happy cruising...
  5. Drink packages before the shutdown were generally around $45-50 a day plus the 18% grats. Went to Aruba with RCL Sept 2021 and the DBP was $58+grats Heading out on the Wonder next weekend and the DBP is sitting at $70 or $82.60 with grats per day. This will be the first cruise we have ever taken with RCL where we pass on the DBP, getting out of control with the costs. Here is our issue. My wife and I would both have to get the package (everyone in same cabin) so that cost is actually doubled to $165.20 per day, or $1,150 for the cruise. My wife doesn't really drink during the day but I have no problem easily saving money getting the DBP, even at that price for a single drinker. What we are going to do this time is take advantage of the free drinks available to us and then just pay as we go. Got my wife the Soda package ($8 per day) so she is set during the day. As Diamond Members RCL loads four free drink vouchers a day on each of our cards for use anywhere. As Prime members in the casino all of our drinks are free but only at the Casino Royale bar. As much of our time is spent in the casino most nights, that will take care of many of our drinks. That leaves me paying as I go any other bar after the 4 vouchers are gone. Will be tracking our progress thru the app, I know we ill not get anywhere near $1,150 bar tab for this cruise. Happy Cruising
  6. Not at all. As soon as they see your Sea Pass card they know exactly your money in/money out. We get free drinks in the casino on all cruises and 5 or 6 free cruise offers every month. My wife suggested we use our cards 4 years ago, never did it before. Kills me that she was so right. You do need to obviously gamble a decent amount, not trying to tell anybody to throw a 20 on a machine and you get everything. We are, I believe what they call Prime members in Casino Royale. Good luck
  7. They do. My wife and I get free drinks in the casino and haven't paid for 6 of our last 7 cruises. Just use your Seapass card whenever gambling. Good luck
  8. You can either pay in cash as you go, or go to any table or slot machine and ask for a charge to your room. If you prefer you can also get a cash advance or your credit card at the cashier's window. Since my credit card is attached to my SeaPass it costs less just to charge it to your room. The good news is if you use your Sea Pass card every time you gamble you get rewards. Only paid for one cruise in our last 7 cruises. Casino Royale takes care of the folks that gamble. They make it very easy to get cash. GOOD LUCK
  9. Ultimately this will all come down to money. What is obvious is there is a fairly large group of folks that will not be cruising until all of the testing and mask stuff go away. Those restrictions aren't in place on land in most vacation spots, avoid the hassles. Looking forward to see what RCL does this Friday, supposed to be heading out on the Wonder in 2 weeks, hope RCL gets its act together quickly. We were out in September to Aruba on an 8 nighter and by day 3 the masks were definitely not a thing anymore, so it wasn't as bad as we thought it would be. It is much easier now to get a test as no one is needing them except for vacationers. Cheers Cruisers
  10. With the option to extend. We are on the maiden voyage of the Wonder on 3/4. Hoping RCL gets their act together. Would be fine with a smoking lounge like they used to have. Need to accommodate everyone.
  11. Smokers used to have rights. Seems the mask rules weren't enough. Now they think they are going to make me go all the way to the top of the ship to grab a cig? Royal C won't get another penny from this Diamond member and Premier Casino Royale member. All the money they waste on water slides you figure the geniuses could figure out how to put a smoking bar in. The last place on the ship that smokers could actually relax and smoke INSIDE, is now gone because of a virus with a 99.5% survival rate??
