Please let me know about Enchantment. This is one of my retirement cruises January 2027.

We have sailed on EN a couple of times already.  Frankly, I had avoided sailing on EN due to some negative reviews.  We only sailed on her in June 2024 b/c some friends of ours were sailing and we wanted to see them so we reluctantly went along.  We were surprised that it is a lovely ship !  It’s older and smaller and has none of the glitz of the newer, larger ships but what she has in spades is charm AND excellent crew and staff.  The biggest negative for EN (IMO) is the lack of specialty restaurants.  There is only Chops (and Chefs Table, which doesn’t count as a “restaurant “ IMO).  As long as you are ok with that, I see no reason to be concerned.  Since she was “extended” there is a bit more real estate than on the other Vision class ships, and it really makes a difference.  She has a nice size Boleros which the other V class ships lack and second pool.

Twice now (different sailings, different Maitre’d’s) we have had extraordinary service and attention in the MDR.  They just went out of their way, multiple times, to make sure we had an excellent experience.  Can’t say enough good things about the staff and crew.

Set your expectations accordingly and you will have a great “classic” cruising experience.

PS…”one” of your retirement cruises ?  Lucky duck !

Final countdown to 1/24 on the Adventure.

We're on the same cruise!  My husband and I are bringing our Cleveland Guardians pickleball paddles and planning on trying to get some play in each morning.
