FrHoffard Posted October 3, 2022 Report Posted October 3, 2022 Hello all, we are getting very close to our 1st cruise (10/14 on Navigator) and I have a question about the pool towels. I understand checking them out but do we need to take our used towels back to the towel station each day? Just trying to know what to expect. Thank you Quote
RafaellaCG Posted October 3, 2022 Report Posted October 3, 2022 Uses towels need to be returned by the end of the cruise, whenever is convenient for you (actually, by the evening before debarkation day). Quote
TXcruzer Posted October 3, 2022 Report Posted October 3, 2022 We just trade out our used for new at the end of each day’s activities. FrHoffard, Big Tule, VirtKitty and 2 others 5 Quote
asquared17 Posted October 3, 2022 Report Posted October 3, 2022 we trade ours back either during the day for fresh ones if there is a midday shower -- or at the end of the day so we're not lugging them around everywhere FrHoffard 1 Quote
CanHardlyWait Posted October 3, 2022 Report Posted October 3, 2022 So if you have say 4 towels you can just bring them back for fresh one's when ever you want? Quote

Momof4crazytocruise Posted October 3, 2022 Report Posted October 3, 2022 they scan your seapass card to keep track of them. So make sure you scan them back in when you turn them or you risk a charge on your account. Quote
smokeybandit Posted October 3, 2022 Report Posted October 3, 2022 I've always found it funny that pool towels are guarded with what feels like armed security, but stateroom towels? Eh, do what you want with them. Sharla and tjcruisers 2 Quote
Robert M Posted October 3, 2022 Report Posted October 3, 2022 Are they numbered in case someone accidentally takes yours? Quote

If someone "steals" your towel, you should go to the towel station and report it so they can update your count. It's also a good idea to check your count when you return your towels. We always return all of ours at the same time, so I always ask to make sure I'm back to "zero". In my opinion, it's best to return the towels at the end of each day and make sure you are back to "zero" and then get new fresh towels each morning when you need them. Doing this we have never had an issue with being charged for a towel. Cactus527, Robert M, Neesa and 1 other 4 Quote

Mostly to check to make sure my account wasn't "counted" for a towel delivered to my room when the form looked like it sent on day 1 but I never got the towel. Since they just scanned the towel back in it's easy for them to see if there are any still "outstanding". Quote
CrznTxn Posted October 3, 2022 Report Posted October 3, 2022 Always check you have zeroed out your towels, they will charge you $25 for each towel not returned. Robert M 1 Quote
FrHoffard Posted October 5, 2022 Author Report Posted October 5, 2022 Thanks everyone! This will be the 1st cruise for both of us and I just wanted to know what to expect. Countdown is now in single digits!!! KristiZ, fireclan and WAAAYTOOO 2 1 Quote
ASmith Posted October 6, 2022 Report Posted October 6, 2022 If you have minors on board with you, is it best to check out towels all on 1 sea pass? Or do you have to have the individual passes? Quote

It has always been my experience that towels are assigned to the folio number, not necessarily the individual sea pass card; just to say, all individuals I am financially responsible for have all the towels on one list.
