Lost & Found after Debarkation

So I recently got off Mariner of the Seas on Nov 30th and was about 3 hours into the drive home when I realized that I did not have my wallet on me. While cruising I always leave my wallet in the safe and only take the cash or credit cards that I need onshore and my passport. So on debarkation morning wearing athletic shorts it fell out of my pocket in the chair in the main dining room. This was the first time I had been separated from my wallet in at least 15 years and so I was thoroughly panicked. My wife did a quick search for a Royal Caribbean lost and found and there is an email process that you go through and give them all of the details about the item and the ship and so forth.

Being the pessimist that I am I thought it was a fools errand but what the heck.

Thankfully for Mobile Apps and being able to turn off all of my cards immediately, and that I jokingly had given my Wife all of the cash from my casino trips telling her that she would get it from me one way or another so might as well hand it over. I was only really out the actual wallet.

2 Days post cruise and I received an email last night from Royal that the wallet has been found and it will be returned to me once the ship returns to port and they are able to process it, all I had to do was pay for shipping.

So if you ever forget/lose something this might be worth a try.

Glad for your happy ending.  I actually had something similar happen to me during a cruise -- wallet fell out of my athletic shorts sitting in the casino.  Another guest turned it in to Guest Services!  That sort of honesty continues to impress me.

Royal has a link www.chargerback where you can report an item lost onboard the ship after you have disembarked. Is that the process your wife used? If so, good to know it works as intended.

Yes that was exactly it. Thanks I could not remember what it was as she was the one that handled it while I was driving.

I found a ring within our items retrieved from the safe on the Liberty of the Seas. It looks to be a diamond engagement/wedding ring.  I am sure the person who left it behind is missing it. I would like to return it to the rightful owner. If it belongs to you, please provide information that would confirm the item belongs to you. i.e. Stateroom # where the item was found, description of the ring, size, cut style, metal - platinum, white gold, gold etc.

Yeah I would return this item directly to Royal. The person who lost it is going to reach out to Royal Caribbean and would have a very slim chance of ever seeing this post. Meanwhile if you turn it in and site the ship and room number that you were it they could most likely get it returned to the owner very easily. I would not have left the ship with it.

We did contact RCCL. They did not described what we have.  Not sure if they wrote down the wrong information from the person reporting it. We asked them to have the person contact us directly, but have not heard anything.

You're lucky, I was on the Navagator of the Seas from LA to MEX and when I went for my off ship activity I placed my trip $ in the safe; packed my items when sailing back to LA, my $ was thin and didn't see it in the safe well and remembered when I was already in Nevada on 24Apr 2022.  Filed a claim, never got an email on an update, no one will answer calls nor return my calls regarding my left back $.  It's disappointing that there's very few honest people now days.  I've been patient, and calm on the phone as I am fully aware of situations, I work in hospitality, so I know how things can get, so I like to show kindness - Always...  But, again I guess people who has my $ will do the honest things and contact me as like them I worked very hard to earn my trip/rent money. :(

I also left an item on board once (Ipad mini).  Process was fairly simple with the two week delay. Only issue was I had to provided Credit Card information to pay for shipping charges and I had two non-authorized charges on that card immediately afterward.  Easy enough to fix, but it was annoying.

My suitcase got left at the port in Barcelona. Filled a report, got updated emails that it has not been found. The suitcase was suppose to be shipped to Miami within 48 hours to the lost and found division but I guess whomever took it need it more than I did. The last email I got stated it wasn’t found yet and that was 2 months ago. I haven’t heard anything back from them at all or if they will compensate me for my lost items. I brand new suitcase, all my summer sandals and keepsakes I bought back for my family and friends are gone.

We are firm believers in Apple Air Pods.  They are always in out suitcases and backpacks when we travel.  It’s fantastic to see our luggage is on the airplane with us.

I believe I dropped my passport in the front of the arrivals hall this morning from Harmony of the Seas. I had it lastly in my hands out front and walked to front parking lot.

This is a fan site, not an official Royal Caribbean site.  I would advise you to call the local police department, in the event it was turned in it might be there, or the local Port Authority police department if htey have one.

I left a white paper bag in my room which had a Luis vitton purse and a coral that I purchased at one of the ports and I have not heard anything. I know it was left in my room which is concerning that I have not heard from anyone.
I was on the 10 day cruise -Radiance of the Seas.
Any ideas on how to retrieve this?

I recently had a “lost item” (something I left in the room).  Royal customer services told me to make an online claim through

chargerback.com

Strange name…

They told me I did not need to create an account, just create a lost item report.  I did.

A day or so later I got an email advising me that they were unable to find my item, so I wouldn’t hold my breath for getting your property back but it’s worth a try…

Just realized I left a small bag of clothes behind under the bed 😞 I submitted a lost and found via the link above…any luck getting them back?

I once left a charger and entered a report on charger back. Received several emails that they couldn't find it.

I emailed the diamond concierge.  She found it in a few minutes. Next time the ship was in port, I picked it up without further issue.

If you are diamond level, I'd suggest you try the same thing. The email should be <2 letter ship identifier>_diamondconcierge@rccl.com good luck!

So glad it worked for you...especially your wallet!  I left my brand new prescription sunglasses in our cabin, even though we "thought" we did a thorough room check before leaving.  It was about an hour later that I realized they were missing so I immediately filed a claim online, as you did.  I was sure the cabin attendant would have turned them in but several weeks later I received an email telling me they were not found.

Hopefully you filed a lost report online and got it back, but if not, did you file an insurance claim?  I recently left something on a cruise ship and learned that the standard travel insurance covers any personal items lost on the cruise EXCEPT eyeglasses, sunglasses and contacts.  Unfortunately I left behind brand new prescription sunglasses, which I never got back.

Help!!!! I left my engagement ring on the odyssey of the seas yesterday!!!! I left it on a table in two70 lounge and disembarked yesterday. My wedding is soon and that was my ring for it! How can I get help or answers? I already filled out the lost and found info but I’m so stressed about it IMG_6393.thumb.jpeg.49f7a64355aec5aa89c546522441c1fa.jpeg

Filling out the lost and found with as much detailed information as possible as soon after debarkation is your best bet. BUT, it is important to note, that even if it's located quickly, it can take some time (up to a month I think is what I've heard) for the company that handles Lost and Found items to actually drop it in the mail. So, depending on how soon is "soon" regarding your wedding, you may want to prepare yourself that it won't come in time.

You do realize that “taking” jewelryfrom the safe that knowingly isn’t yours is theft. It’s not finders keepers especially if they left it in the safe. Send it back to royal and they can try to track down the person in the room before you or see claims filed. Asking them to have their client contact you? That’s just stealing and trying to assuage your conscience. Send it back. You’ll sleep better and we all need to be supporting other cruisers even the dumb ones not checking their safe. 👍

One of my luggage bags was not picked up by our transport drivers. It is black with bright pink dots

In case any of the posters here drinking coffee in our kitchens see it?  This site is not connected in any way to RCCL.  You will need to reach out to them or the port authorities.
