The people that live on the island probably ate well that night this redeems it for me i would not want it to go to waste!!! the ship in the early morning hours is also a favorite of mine, along with pre-breakfast — or, as i call it — “first breakfast” we have seats at the pool deck - they have significantly reduced the water in the pools themselves and taken away much of the seating. i am thinking they’ve done this to reduce the trip/fall hazard areas. the solarium is blocked off on the starboard side, or else we would have gone there. a lot of chairs stacked out of the way on deck 16 — we abandoned our usual post for fear we’d get blown away. the jammer is a WILD time. with the solarium being roped off, they’ve reduced the number of available breakfast venues and apparently it’s very noticeable. J went in to just scope it out about an hour ago and said the place was a giant hazard. she aborted mission. i finally changed into sun appropriate clothing and out of my pajamas. on my way back to the seats, i stopped at park cafe for second breakfast. there was no line!! i got three small vegetarian egg wraps and a ham egg and cheese for J. fun fact: they’ve replaced the chess pieces on the tables outside 150 central park to heavier, metal pieces. i’ve never seen that before but the little details are pretty cool. Ampurp85
I could understand the partial refunds. For most people they had the island from 8/9am to 1pm when the storm rolled in. So they only "lost" 3hrs but we all know how entitled a lot of folks are. They don't care that the weather is not in Royal's hands, they feel their experience has been diminished and they are owed. I bet guest services was a nightmare all day. Only once have I been out around 3-5am on a Royal ship. It is almost eerie because you can walk for miles and not see a soul.
