We have left our girls (9 and 6) go alone and wonder around the ship. We always agree on a time when they should meet us again and where. And they have WhatsApp. I wouldn't want to be a parent that chains up the child. But I guess it is also different we come from Europe and here it is more normal for kids to play and have fun outside. My children were allowed with 3 years to go and play on the street and visit friends down the road (we live in a small village in the countryside). I find a cruise ship very secure. All public spaces have video surveillance and children are not allowed to get off the ship alone. So I have absolutely no worries for them to play for a while without us being around.

Could be an option, but we do the same in Port Canaveral. Who knows, maybe by 2026 Royal has some nice area to go to in Nassau.

I just realised between the 4 of us, we will have 16 freestyle cups at the end of the two weeks to add to our collection at home. And since it is star class we could try all genies on the ship

OK, I'm not sure if we will regret it but I booked a B2B2B2B for Easter 2026 on Utopia. So 3 days, 4 days, 3 days and 4 days. 4 Stops on Cocc Cay within two weeks, I'm sure we'll find something to do, not 100% sure what we will do 4 times in Nassau, but there is still time until 2026.

No idea, I didn't ask and I'm not sure if I would have gotten an answer if I would have asked.

Unless that room is a VVIP then they get a genie for that room and the other genies have to share the other cabins. It didn't happen to me but I would think you could feel it if the genie has suddenly 5 rooms instead of 3 especially if they all are demanding (time wise).

Something I'm not so sure about is would it it be fun to go on a B2B2B. We have previously and are going in the future on B2B cruises each 7 days so in total 14 days. But would it be fun to go on 3 or 4 four day cruises? I'm not worried about 4 times at Coco Cay or 4 times on an caribbean island but 4 times port Canaveral or 4 times Miami and not really long enough to go to Disney or something like that... Has anybody done 3 or 4 four day cruises in a row and was it fun?

I didn't know either. But according to google it is a bar on Icon. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/sgp/en/cruise-dining/the-lemon-post?country=SGP

Dining Early or Late - Which Do You Prefer & Why?
ckruetze replied to Married2Grumpy's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
For us it depends on the program for the evening. Do we want to go to a show after the dinner - go early. No fixed plans - go slightly later. Return late afternoon from an activity and no plans for the evening - go late. -
I strongly suggest to not be in one of them when they change the time. We have had one in one office that was too smart. If it was moving while you changed the time it registered that as an error. Either travelling too slow or too fast depending on how you changed the time. If the elevator detected too slow it just went to the next floor and opened the doors. In too fast mode it stopped and engaged some breaks that we couldn't undo ourself. Not sure what manufacturer that was and what model, but I suggest to not risk it.

We have done start class only in Europe and there was never a line at all when returning from an excursion - at least the ones we took. I guess if one or two buses of people return that's not enough to form a line. We were however surprised that our genie met us just after security one one of them to escort us to an elevator he had reserved for us. I think it was more like he was in the area anyway. But to this day I haven't figured out how he knew what time to be there. As for breakfast, is there a difference between room service bacon and CK bacon? We only tried it ones or twice and we never cared where it came from. We told our genie what we would like and it arrived (the warm stuff still warm, the cold stuff still cold) at the time it was supposed to arrive. What would be interesting to try is what happens if you ask for a lobster or a steak for room service breakfast.

Europe Excursions (General Question)
ckruetze replied to CNA Jacksonville's topic in Shore Excursions
I think that depends on your definition of "major sites" and what you mean by "see". In Rome, if you drive by the colosseum in a bus and a tour guide tells you on the left is the colosseum. Do you consider that enough time and is it enough for you to tick the checkbox of "seen". You can spend a week in any of the bigger cities like Rome or Barcelona and won't manage to really see all the major sites. What a cruise is nice for is, drive by the major attractions and visit several cities and then make an informed decision on what country/city to visit next year for a land based holiday.
