We "turned" on the first leg of our B2B and were able to enjoy the Pinn perks on the second leg. The Loyalty Ambassador (Ro, Mariner) could not have been more helpful. I hope you have a wonderful LA to help you through it, too. SpeedNoodles, markinct and Pattycruise

Going to find my torch and pitchfork right now just in case Can't imagine Royal getting rid of that one. The servicing charge on drink vouchers, based on personal estimates, isn't that much (and is easily incorporated into fare pricing without significantly impacting them), yet gets people really, really fired up to be "Loyal to Royal" for those future benefits. Even people who would be better off aiming for the lowest total cruise price with any line, doing the itinerary they want, which includes Diamond and up style benefits, or at least drinks, want to cruise with Royal for loyalty status. My guess is the biggest overall change will be you have to remain active, sailing once every so many years, with the primary RCG brands to keep your loyalty status with any of the lines. Disney quietly implemented the requirement of once every 5 years early this year and MSC has had theirs set at 3 years before that. So with the RCG, something like at least one cruise every five years with either Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, or Silversea to keep your status in the newly combined program. This would be part of the reason why they're aligning loyalty programs as keeping truly separate accounts would make deactivation (and reactivation when things go "oopise") more problematic. I'm also going to speculate that they'll be transitioning C&A points to the Captain Club's system on Celebrity where cabin category determines how many points are earned per night. While it's true that no other mass market line uses such a system, this doesn't mean they cannot. With the differences in pricing between Royal's newest ships and oldest alongside pricing differences with interiors versus suites, this could help Royal promote their whales quicker and encourage people desiring C&A benefits to book slightly more expensive cabins than they might otherwise have. Rackham
To throw a tiny amount fuel on this fire, I received an email survey from Celebrity this evening inquiring about my feelings on status matching the loyalty programs between Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and Silversea (the attached picture). It sounds like, at least for the moment, RCG isn't planning any major changes to how each works, but there might be more alignment with tiers between brands. Lovetocruise2002
I got the same email too earlier this afternoon. Haven’t sailed a single sailing on X, and I get all the emails from them. Sailed a ton on Royal and stool cannot get onto their mailing list. steverk and asquared17
smokeybandit
I'm fine if they align them. Just as long as I still get the same perks I get now on RC. I'd love to try Celebrity if it meant I could still chase points on RC.
Ampurp85
I got this email. I actually get all the emails. I'm sure it's because I have booked for so many people and despite putting in their emails I get some meant for them. I would like a combination of loyalty programs that are aligned. asquared17
Ryansox
I also received this email and intrigued by it. I would love a combination of loyal programs to align...even if that meant a little change in how you earn/level up. I'm new to cruising and new to RC....never cruised with Celebrity. Cakemeister
Interesting email, thanks for posting. I've never sailed on Celebrity, but I would be more likely to if it would earn Crown and Anchor points on Royal. The status match between Royal and X is nice, but it would be nicer to earn points that counted on both. I would be all over a 2% cash back Visa card with extra benefits, otherwise pass. Jill
I got the email also. Here’s my advice if I could bend an ear to the powers that be: There’s a subgroup of RC cruisers who are “seasoned” and comprise the upper tiers. This group is somewhat over the whole “big ship” thing along with St Thomas, St Maarten, Cozumel and Costa Maya (and the other islands that the big girls go to) This group is BEGGING for a new smaller class that visits somewhere other than above. Well…..give us our RC benefits on a Celebrity ship and you won’t have to build a new class. Just transfer us to Celebrity. I’d be happy with that. We have our first celebrity booked to Norwegian fjords in 2025 because the itinerary was way better than Indy but it was hard giving up our 5 free drinks anytime, anywhere. Deep fjords beat alcohol but I shouldn’t have to choose! Baked Alaska, foxrunner, Midwest Cruiser and 8 others 10
