I would like to be able to have my Pinnacle badge and credentials so that those in attendance will know I am a respected member of the community and not just a two-bit charlatan trying to present themself as an avid cruiser. Many people have been here a long time and patiently answer the same types of questions over and over without judgment or criticism. Stay on here long enough and you wil see how the cycle repeats. I don't pay much attention to post count unless someone writes a negative review with their first or second post. If you are comfortable commenting, liking, or sharing info on other posts, by all means do so. One way for you to "connect" with others (and increase your posts) is to share knowledge about a ship or itinerary when someone posts questions, and follow along with trip reports and blogs. Better yet, start your own blog/trip report to share with everybody. I never knew I wanted to go to Norway or Grand Turk until I read about other cruiser experiences. IMHO someone who post just to post won't get ranking from me and I care little as to whether you have been here forever or not. But as I asked, please just disregard if you find my commentary to not be to your tastes. You don’t see me casting judgement from my ivory tower on your commentary about Golden Corral, although I could say that that place is quite cringey. I find the most pushback on my unheralded ascension towards Pinnacle is actually coming from Pinnacle forum members. Seems quite gate keeperish…. FOB Posted August 1, 2024 Report Posted August 1, 2024 I post when I feel that a European perspective may be helpful (I live in Britain) or when I have had actual experience that can be useful when I add to the conversation The level that you have on this board has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the level that you are on RC If you want the badge with the name on it then you need to do the nights on a cruise to get that - you are not going to get the pinnacle badge while sailing just by posting loads of comments in a website that has NO connection at all to the RC ships - we just happen to cruise on them, normally happily but occasionally come here with issues Hope that is helpful @Herman Hinkelstein - and thanks for giving me the opportunity to get my "diamond pin" in the blog Herman Hinkelstein 1
