Not sure if this is today's swag or my mother procured this from somewhere.

It was on the bed when I woke up and my mother is nowhere to be found.

That's really cool - as we are doing the Supper Club when we cruise next month it would be nice if they continue to provide those for guests and not just for this sailing (but not keeping my hopes up)

People are shameless

For real. There are Icon Starbucks mugs for sale by the same seller with photos obviously taken in their cabin. Ship date is February 7.

The ship models are listed for $195 on there. It's ridiculous..but I guess you have to find a way to subsidize your trip somehow.

Hubby has chimed in with feedback for the slides here at Thrill Island. He loves them. He said they are pretty much replicas of the ones from Thrill Waterpark on PDCC. In fact, he even said that if we sail Icon class again, there would be zero reason to buy tickets to Thrill Waterpark at PDCC. You might be missing some of the adrenaline from daredevil’s slides on the island, but is that worth the extra ticket cost? Personal choice, but his vote would be no.

Now a Category Six widow as well?

We have spent most of our cruise north of Central Park...tot town, Category Six and Hideaway are on the South Side and of no use to us 😅

Thank him for this. Since we have our kids for that cruise I was originally wanting to do the water park but tickets are like $180 right now which to me is absurd.

I have been even more North, like Deck 15-18 lol

This is exactly why I wanted to post that. Tickets for our OY that we just took for NYE were $150 a piece. That is nuts. We told the kids about how similar the slides are here, minus daredevils and they all agreed that they would not miss daredevils anyway.

The kids must take after their dad. Mom would have said YOLO 😂

They do, thank goodness, their inheritance is somewhat safe 😂

So there's South Side/North Side battles on the ship??

No clue what that means but I will ask Hubby when he shows up for dinner. That is pretty much the only time I see him. #flowriderwidow

I was watching a live stream and they were at the Rye and Bean and they mentioned getting cold foam (like at Starbucks) on the espresso martini - and it looked pretty tasty.

There was a couple there who looked like they were going live as well when I was there. And someone did order the espresso martini and I watched them add the cold foam. It did look really good! I am not a fan of espresso martinis but the bartenders told me that drink is highly recommended and well liked.

My wife will really enjoy the espresso martinis here. Thanks for the great drink pics!

Glad you like them! I will keep them coming! Wasn’t sure if it was too much. Really putting my D+ vouchers to good use this sailing.

if you are interested I would definitely reach out to a TA and see what prices they have.  some of them might still have group rates available for some sailings at about half the cost of what the website shows.  Not a guarantee, but worth checking.

Yeah, I'll have a look into it. Not getting my hopes up though because I would still need to fly to the United States which would be probably an extra $1500-2000 PER PERSON. That's like 5k per person including hotels. Something which I'm not willing to pay (says the person who paid $8,000+ to sail 4 days on the Disney Wonder...)

Backtracking a bit here…

We never got off the ship today. Are you all surprised? Hubby was at the FlowRider by 8am and I had breakfast in CK as usual. After that, I noticed a price drop on the S2S that I just booked on Saturday. So off I went to Next Cruise to get the price adjusted.

I could see online that the cruise fare went down by $100 and there was an addition $100 OBC. Girl math says that is a $200 savings. When I got to NC, they priced it at $100 off cruise fare and $200 OBC, no brainer, re-price! So now I have $500 total ($200 from X; $300 from NC) OBC to spend on a 3 night sailing 😂

After that, I met back up with Hubby for lunch. Decent spread in the Grove today.

After that, off we went to the Aquadome Marketplace to get our crepe. This has been a daily occurrence for us. I love this place! The crepe place is one of my favourite things about Icon.

We had a 2pm sail away from St. Thomas. Word on the street from the FB roll call group is that there were pier runners; apparently escorted back by police 🤷🏻‍♀️I wasn’t paying attention because I spent some time with friends in their Icon loft for sail away. Today, watching sail away from the loft; was the first time I realized l missed having a balcony this sailing.

Currently waiting in the SL for Hubby to show up in the SL, with my Lavender Martini 💜

Just buy a bunch of cheap Effy jewellery, or can you not use OBC for that kind of things? 😂

Will they let you adjust things and build your own crepe, or is it order as is?

@Lovetocruise2002 what are your S2S ships?

Also the Grove is the suite area? I forget, there are so many new places I might be mixing them up.

Adventure and then Celebrity Reflection

And yes, The Grove is the suite sundeck.

Hmm…I actually don’t know if you can. I will have to find out 😉

And I found a video of the police escort so I think the ship waited.

Question about the shows.  With the high number of suites on this ship did they have a reserved section for suite guest at the show like O Class ships?

They did have a D+/Pinnacle/Suites area in the Royal Theater and the Aquatheater. I didn't notice one for the ice show but I arrived late so it might have been removed already.

Here's a sample. There's a lot more than this but it doesn't start with Trivia so it's a pain to find.

Oooh, Outer Space, that's definitely one I'd attend. I'm a huge space nerd so I'd probably do pretty well at it I reckon.

But the other topics seem pretty generic like the ones on the other cruise ships...

I know usually if it's Harry Potter/Wizarding World, there's a pretty huge turn out, but some of the other ones like Airport Codes or Movie Quotes, there's not as many people...

Wish they'd change it up a bit re: trivia. Have some new topics or something

I'm doing adventure for spring break next year.  If I tried to book a S2S my wife would probably kill me.  She's already complaining we have all these cruises booked and wondering when I'm taking her to Yellowstone or the Grand Tetons.

Sorry, I missed this post earlier. There is a set menu as they only have so many ingredients there, but you can customize using the items they have. Like for example, something people want bananas and strawberries on their crepe and you can do that. Or just get strawberries, or only bananas.

@Generalchadwick, they had a reserved section for the ice show as well. It was like oasis class, off to the side.

What? That is not a vacation.
You need to learn to bargain. I sent Hubby to Arizona with the boys. Problem solved. That is how he discovered Vuori. lol

Dinner CK Night 5

They moved some stuff around again. This was the regular night 5 menu and they added poached lobster. That left me with a problem because night 5 already has a lot of items that I like. I ended up not being able to give up anything. Completely stuffed, as I got Lobster, Short Rib, and Duck.

Random sail away photos. Fireworks were a nice touch, longer than I expected. But you could not see them well because they did not (or maybe could not) wait until it got dark.
