I totally agree that the food and service is the best we have encountered since the pandemic restart in any CK.

We have run into several crew members here in CK that we remember, and they remember us, from other ships. Many of them started up WN and have remained. My theory is that some of the best go to new ships and that is why food quality/taste and service vary from one CK to another. But WN is the best right now for sure.

I only had one CK experience to compare it to (a year ago on Harmony) but as I've posted multiple times, we can't imagine finding a better service experience than we had in CK on Wonder last month.

Is Vinay from India still there? He was either the CK manager or supervisor, I keep getting it mixed up.

Great weather today! Very hot but got away from the rain and wind that was around yesterday. No real plans today. I had breakfast in CK and Hubby slept in. Later we wandered around the top decks while it was quiet. Did not get to do this yesterday because of the weather.

Current situation:

Hubby has wandered off the ship in search of buffet food. As much as I love him, it is way to hot for my liking and the return (buffet food) is not worth breaking out in a sweat for. I am perfectly content hanging around the ship, enjoying my balcony, working on this blog. I hear a Starbucks Refresher calling my name soon….

Both Hubby and I agree that this is a huge improvement from the OA class ships before this one. It is air conditioned. The space also seems more vast and open.

We didn't spend any time there but that was our impression from walking through it as well. Looking forward to relaxing there when we're back in steerage.

I hate the heat too but Hubby is correct in this case. 🤣

So, I am officially caught up and all the pictures have me excited for my Jan Wonder sailing. I love how new and clean she looks, and the pictures are beautiful..........as well has the happy couple celebrating their anniversary 🥰

Second a while back @Neesa mentioned getting a new lawn mower for their anniversary and I was like wait ......is that not a good gift? I mean yes, a trip to Disney for Star Wars and a star class sailing are great but practical gifts are wonderful too. 🤣🥹

Anyhow being that you are star class, the water issue has resolve itself, but I hope that I will be able to use my D+ vouchers for the good bottles, that Tru water is the worst. Also, can you get pictures of the nonsmoking casino.

The voucher thing I don’t know the answer to. I will try to ask around when I go to one of those Central Park restaurants. However, I forgot to mention that while walking down the hall yesterday to the elevators, Hubby did see a case of Evian in someone’s room. So that they do have.

GREAT 🤩 PICTURES!!

my mind is blown by the loungers in the shade on deck???? 16? i can’t figure this out but no matter.

i’m wondering also how much cooler/climate controlled CK is with its current location. i love the location on the other oasis class ships, but MAN does it get hot 🥵

(and we never sail peak summer 😂)

like @Ampurp85 said, hoping the water situation gets resolved and your restock goes smoothly

Are you referring to those yellow ones? Hubby thinks that they might serve a dual purpose as those face the screen for movie watching. Opens up more seating.

While I have never felt hot in any CK, last night I had a wrap on and I was still chilly in there.

Yes, on my July 9 sailing  on Wonder we did have Evian waiting in our stateroom upon arrival.

Yes! He remembered us from Symphony! He’s awesome! Told us last night that he left Symphony to start up this ship. Looks like he took a couple of good ones from SY with him because there are a few other CK crew members that we sailed with on Symphony here now.

He was the best crew member we have ever encountered in any capacity on any ship. He had special meals prepared for my 9 year old niece with food allergies... including one based on something he makes for his son back home. We got to know him very well, saw pics of his family, etc. Not only amazing at his job but incredibly knowledgeable about topics totally unrelated to cruising/hospitality.

Obviously don't feel obligated, but if you want to tell him Alan's family says hi from early June, that would be great.

After we set sail around 4pm, Hubby met Hannah for ice skating. I took a pass on this. He was mainly after the exercise and we had no kids with us so I continued on with my self relaxation time. My day pretty consisted of alternating between the balcony and coming inside to wander around ship. That was my perfect day 😊

Pics that Hubby took from Studio B.

No hockey sticks?  I would have thought he would have brought one.

He was reprimanded for going too fast. A hockey stick probably would have sent him right off the ice. 😆

Did he have the ice all to himself? 😉

He actually said that Hannah picked a good session for him. Because everyone had just returned from Coco Cay, it was fairly quite. He said the first half hour or so, there was barely anyone there, second half hour more came.

Dinner for Night 2 was Izumi Hibachi. It was a strange Hibachi dinner tonight. The food was great as usual, however, it was not the normal, loud, Hibachi vibe.

Our table of 8 was the only one there on the Hibachi side, the crew said that the other two tables cancelled. And this was 7pm, prime Hibachi time.

Dinner also moved very slow (compared to other Hibachi’s we have been to). Not sure what was up there tonight.

Another first, tonight was the first night we witnessed our Hibachi cook drop an egg. At first we thought it was a joke, but sure enough, there was clean up needed on the floor.

After dinner we went to see Voices. While I did not care too much for the songs, I was really impressed by how this show was done, completely using the human voice and nothing else. I felt like it also gave the singers a good chance to showcase their voice as sometimes in the production shows they are limited. Going to upload some video clips to Instagram for those who are interested.

We ended off our evening watching the late showing of Intense from our balcony. My preference is to always watch the show from down below, however, this higher perspective gave us more appreciation for what happens below the water, which you would never see from down below. The different angle also allowed us to focus on the higher elements and that was a nice change too.

Off to bed now. Sea day tomorrow but getting up early cause Hubby is doing the Star Class flowrider session at 9am.
