Casino Royale Defined Tiers 2018

Yes, I saw it too.  Unfortunately nobody at Club Royale even knows about it yet....the customer representatives anyway.

i guess we’ll have more waiting to find out details.  Shouldn’t surprise anyone.

Consider the way they act until now I will not be surprise that they will have multiple version for the program and each representative will have a different answer .

Seems to be that the compartmentalization in the Royal Casino  organization is better than any intelligence agencies   , no one have really the full picture.

Well it seems at a glance that the current system stays in place. The top two lines. After that they are trying to make it that you know what “you get” prior to boarding.

The big thing will be how do they break out the tiers  I play 3 card poker (yes I know the odds stink, it’s for entertainment) about an average of 4 hours a day  $10 on 6 card bonus, $10 on Pair plus and Ante

i maxed out the balcony stateroom by day 6.  Where will that place me in the tier system and  will I still max out? Ask me in April! ;-)

Why are they so secretive about how the points system works?  Fear of people gaming the system?

The best customer is an educated customer...so the lack of consistency/details/etc. is strange. One would think that appropriate advertising and detail should get more people in the casino.

I'm going to take a wild stab (gamble) that it might have something to do with cruise line competitive information.

now if only we knew what you needed to reach each level.

I would think that if people knew, it may motivate more to attempt?

On one hand yes , on the other maybe not ,

For example , lets say you know you need to get to 5000 points for the highest level and you got it on day 5 , will you play the same on day 6 and 7 ?

Although I do not think this is the reason (remember every land casino is very clear when you are reaching a certain tier) one of the issues is the level of independence every Casino gets , I can see from ship to ship different rules from time to time , not dramatic but different.

How points are being calculate ?

Not sure exactly how it is being done in RC but in many casino the system is quite simple :

Points = Money , each point has some money value associate to it.

The casino is given you the money (points) out of what theoretically  you suppose to loose in the long run  and it calculate it by the house edge.

for example in machines the house edge can be between 5% to even 20% (sometime less) which mean if you play 100$ long enough statistically on a machine which has 5% edge you will loose 5$.

So if we take this example further  , on such machine which you play 5 $ each time you suppose to loose  0.25 $ , from this 0.25 $ which is the casino earning they allocate the cashback equivalent to you as points.

As far as I remember in RC machine you get 1 point for every 5 $ you play, since 4900 = 1000$ certificate + the drinks you took from the casino VIP and other perks , each point =0.04$ (or in other words less than 20% back).

In tables it is more complicate since we add the time to it so :

The house edge in black jack can be around 1% if you play right and the casino rules are good ( for example , ability to surrender , splits and double  down rules , gain from BJ and number of decks)

So here they will calculate it like that 0.01*your average bet*the time you play * average number of hands which are being dealt per hour.

So if you are playing 50$ for 1 hour in a table which the dealer  dealing 50 hands per hour the house should earn  25 $ from you , since the edge is more , they will earn more . also we all tend to do many mistakes which gives the house better edge.

From this example you can see why the casino tend to love slots player much more than table players,In tables he likes more people who plays 3 card poker , Caribbean poker  and so on.

That is why its very important that if you play more than the table limit  you will get the attention of the supervisor  so he will track you accordingly and not  calculated your points  per the table minimum ...

For thous calculation  you should add many other things , like the free drinks or any other perks you get , also the 1000$ certificate is not real $ as RC expect that beside the free cruise you got you will pay extra maybe for restaurants , drink package and so on.

Do you all find that it is cheaper to play slots to earn the free cruise certificate than to not play and price match to buy the cruise booking?  I am comparing for 2 persons in cabin, one person is the gambler on slots (you get more points per $ on slots than on table games as per casino manager on the Serenade

Curious since I average $1400 with 100-250 OBC for 2 in an ocean or balcony cabin.

would you say on average that your actual out of pocket gambling funds would be less than $1400 to get the needed slot points for a free cruise?  (I factor in the free casino bar drinks against the OBC)

thanks

Depends on so many more factors:

1. How long on average per day will you play?

2. What will your average bet/slot pull

be?

”maybe” you could score enough points for a free room if you win on that original $1400 and cycle it back in the machine.

The mystery of the casino always has left me wondering with Royal.

I'm very new to this Casino stuff on Royal. How much needs to be spent or gambled or do they base it on hours playing? It's very confusing to me. We like to gamble and plan on doing so, but really not sure about how this works. Thank you in advance.

Lets start from the simple things , slots ,

For slots you are getting 1 point every 5 $ you play (it is accumulate so if you are playing 1 $ after 5 plays you will get a point).

Once you accumulate 1000+  points you can get some certifications to use for cruise booking  up to 4900 $ for 7 nights balcony cabin free cruise (you still need to pay taxes )   /

For tables play , well here no one can really understand how it works but it seems that you need to play few hours with average bet of 50 $ in a black jack table.

For 3 card poker it will be less but your odds are against you .

In the table games it is very important that the pit boss will see you gamble the required  average if you are not playing on a table which has the required minimum .

In general it is always good to ask the questions and present yourself to the shift manager .

If they think you played enough in the first day they might give you the VIP status which allow you to get free drinks in the Casino bar and a waver of the 5% they are collecting if you are getting money from the casino cage.

Without going in to the painful number details (@WAAAYTOOO can give those if you really want them), suffice it to say that just betting a few hundred bucks into the slots or tables, even allowing for some wins prolonging the time there, won't come close to cutting it for making any meaningful rewards. You have to bet thousands of dollars across every cruise to maintain anything remotely resembling a good ranking and rewards profile.

I've already resolved that I will just go on board with a $200-$300 budget at most to play craps and maybe a little dollar slots, solely for the reason that I really like playing craps and the slots can be entertaining for a little while; I have no hopes or expectations of making Club Royale or getting any kind of comps with that tiny play. It will be my personal "mad money", will not go larger than the budget I bring, and will only be used on tables with a $5 or $10 minimum (if I can find any).

Joe, I agree with you, that's about my limit. Would rather save my money, keep it invested and save for another cruise! I too enjoy craps, blackjack and the slots. Hey unless I win thousands, but then again, I would buy a cruise! LOL

Regarding the craps , RC odds in the craps table is 1:1 which is very bad , only if you play 25$ and above you getting better odds ...

That is what happens when the casino know you can not go betting anywhere else for the next 7 days ...

You're kidding me, right?!? The worst casino in AC still gives 2:1 odds on a $5 table. :40_rage:

Yeesh, I may just skip the casino entirely. Especially if it's the smokehouse I also expect it to be.

I recommend that, no matter how much or little you gamble, if you play at ALL, contact Club Royale (888-561-2234) before you book your next cruise.  Once you're a member (and all it takes these days is to have your seapass card scanned either in a slot machine or at a table) there's a CHANCE that you will be eligible for casino rates on your cruises.  There's no telling how many cruises I booked before I realized that we were eligible for casino rates.  They will NOT advertise it to you.  You have to seek it out on your own.  So if you play at all, call them before you book your next cruise just to SEE if they have any "offers" for you.  All they can say is, "sorry, no".  ...and you've lost nothing.

Raye, I assume if you haven't sailed on them (unless 30 years ago counts) you would call for your next cruise after you sailed the first one?

Yes.  If you haven’t played in the casino recently you will need to activate your Club Royale status with a recent cruise.  Then, call before you book again.  There are lots of new restrictions but you can lose nothing by calling to see if there are any offers that you could take advantage of.
