AshleyDillo Posted April 2 Author Report Share Posted April 2 Welcome to Cozumel part 2. Sent my wash and dry laundry off this morning so I will get it back all folded for packing into my luggage. Last night was just shenanigans with my handcuffs BFF...watched karaoke and then went to the Schooner Bar, they finally opened up the casino at 10:30pm so we went there..then back to karaoke and then to the nightclub and then back to the casino. Good thing this is a small ship and not as much running back and forth as it sounds. I still haven't decided if I'm going to bother to get off the ship. I feel like I should take advantage of bring docked downtown but I also like air conditioning and staying out of the sun. So of course I went up and talked to her every single time Turns out handcuffs was my favorite person on the cruise . She's a casino degenerate and was at over 9000 points for this cruise. Got up early for my drive..was off the ship and ready to go. Now I'm sitting in Playmakers on Independence waiting on service. Managed to miss all the usual traffic I see in South Florida and it was a smooth, easy drive. That was my only complaint at the time... no extra included venues like ELF. We were on CocoCay with Freedom 3X and I remember wishing Freedom was in PC and not vice versa just for ELF, lol. Then I went up to the 14th deck for a fancy coffee and change of scenery in the Crown Lounge. They take away breakfast at 10am and put out cookies and fruit. It was the same on Radiance except Independence got their delivery of bananas (never saw one on Radiance). It looks a bit overcast out there and on my way up to 14 I saw the masses descending on the Windjammer, so I assume there was rain. Although my only other experience on Radiance was in a GS and it was a massive tub with a half glass partition if I remember correctly. The hot water on that sailing was jacked up and it would go from freezing to scalding and I would have to time it right running under the showerhead and to the other side of the tub..that was fun times. I've never seen it on a Freedom class ship before! They also had a little leftover breakfast section in the Windjammer...haven't seen this before either. Breakfast was over at 11am this morning and I was there at 12:30. They have the triangle hashbrowns (which I see a rumor circulating of their eventual disappearance) and extra crispy bacon..plus waffles and gluten free scrambled eggs. There was also a stir fry station. Definitely notice a larger overall variety between this ship and Radiance, although still no more vegetable choices than that ship had.
