I just wanted to rant a little at the extreme tomfoolery of Club Royale.

These are my offers as a person who is prime, with almost 4000pts.

A man finds a lamp and a genie pops out.  The genie says I will give you three wishes but what ever you wish for your mother-in-law gets twice as much!  He asks for his first wish.  I want a two week cruise in a star class suite.  He is granted a two week cruise and his mother-in-law get a back to back cruise of the same class suite. He thinks for a moment and says "I want a million $$ ship board credit."  He receives his credit and his in-law gets two million.  He thinks for a moment and says "this isn't fair, I found the lamp!"  Finally he says "I got it!  I want you to scare me half to death."

Casino Royale offers have become a waste of time. I don’t play for the comps at all because it’s a disappointment. I do remember when the offers were much more enticing and the program was really generous with the comps but that ship has sailed.

I play for the fun of it and I really only care about the certs I earn onboard. She called to ask if we might could combine offers to get a better room and I can't since they are all money off. It is just a bit disheartening that she has sailed twice, isn't prime and has a ton of offers.

Currently Prime and I have 10313 points.  I just got off Anthem of the Seas 2 weeks ago.  I haven't had an offer for the past 3 months...  To me if they come they come, but sometime I wonder I read some of FB post.  Lots of ppl are getting tons of offer and some Jr suite offer and they have less than 10000 points.  I can't never figure that out.

I have heard, but do not know for sure, that those who utilize the offers the most, tend to get less online offers.  That would make sense with us, as we have booked quite a few of the freebie offers and consequently, are getting nothing from the "monthlies".  I had one serious frustration on our last cruise (SY 2-11-23).  The last night of the cruise, as is our custom, we checked with the host to see if our offers (received the night before) had been "upgraded" (they almost always are).  Sure enough, my offer had gone from a pathetic $100 off any cruise to a somewhat less pathetic $200 off any cruise.  She issued me a new certificate.  Since we never ever use the $$ off certificates, I did not bother to keep my late evening appointment with NextCruise, which is where we always book an "open booking" to be booked after we get home.  This way, you get to keep the associated "free play".  If you don't get the open booking certificate, you lose the free play.

So....when I got home and checked my offers online, lo and behold, my certificate had been upgraded AGAIN (unbeknownst to me) and now I had an offer for a complimentary room w/free play....but b/c I had been told that I only had a $$ off certificate (which I immediately dumped in the trash can) and did not book the NC open booking, I had essentially lost $100 in free play !  I was pretty unhappy.....but b/c one of the listed sailings created a B2B for me on a casino booking I already had, I went ahead and used it.  But I learned a lesson.  I will NOT leave the ship again without an open booking tied to a casino certificate.

@WAAAYTOOOI guess that is what's grinding my gears: the program should entice me to be loyal and book a lot of cruises. But in a sense, one is being punished for doing that because the offers get worse and worse.

I'm with ya !  I don't get it either.  I haven't gotten a true online offer in months.  The only thing I am getting are the instant rewards earned onboard and they aren't that great, either.  I guess I'm lucky in that I am pretty much booked up through the end of May....I couldn't really take another cruise anyway....but after the summer, I am pretty much open.  I guess I won't get any more offers until I start cruising again in the fall/winter.

Same here, I haven't get any offer for the past 3 months.  The only one I get is the Instant reward that I earned onboard.  But the problem is most of the ship sailed from Florida or Texas.  and I am from NY.  I would rather sailed from NJ.

Also.  my instant rewards never show up my casino Royale account.  Anyone know why?  I read and I heard that it should show up in the casino Royale account after disembarkation.

Are you redeeming your onboard offers before you leave the ship ?  If so, they would never show up online.  If you are NOT redeeming them before you leave the ship then there is definitely something wrong.  Unredeemed instant reward certificates should definitely be showing up at clubroyaleoffers.com

No I never  redeemed them on the board, that's why I always miss out on the FP.  I never sure if I have the time or any vacations days to hop on next free cruise.  lolz.  I always end up calling the casino royale to book my free cruise.  Maybe I should give them a call and ask them how come my instant rewards never show up on my account?  or should I go ask a host when I am board on the ship?  My next cruise is on April 23.

I never get an email offer.
I usually only gamble enough to get the dollars-off certs; 400-800+ points. But, once in a while I get a few machines that just don’t want me to leave and can rack up 2-3,000 points. Still, no email offer. Just the onboard certificate with limited sailings offered. Coincidentally the available dates are ones I already have booked. And as NextCruise can only open new bookings and not service existing…I can’t apply the certificate. Only the dollar amount after I get home. Or get an open booking with the limited time to apply it..but, again…no time available.
My problem is I have too many bookings.
Yep…I know how ridiculous that sounds!🤣

I sure wouldn’t waste my time with the casino host.  They won’t have any insight regarding online issues.  I would think that calling Club Royale would be your best bet.  Those offers earned onboard should definitely be showing up online.

Curious, how many sailings have you been on the past year to achieve the 4000 points? My wife has around 4000 points also but gets Oceanview and inside offers, however we've only been on 2 sailings in the past year (7 nighter and 5 nighter). So she achieved the 4k points in 12 nights. I'm sure that makes a difference vs someone who became Prime and has 4k points in 5 or 6 sailings in the past year. Also we currently only have 1 other Royal cruise booked, I'm sure that also plays a role.

I just called Casino Royale, the lady said Instant rewards have my name as reserve.  My first name as last name.. lolz.  If I have to check instant reward, I have to type my first name as Last name.  And the regular offer have my correct.  I asked if she can correct it, she said can't.  She's afraid it will delete my instant rewards.  I guess I will need to visit the host and have them correct it once I get on my April Cruise.  Wow since day one Casino Royale Instant reward have my name reserve.  how is that possible.

I achieved the total of points with 6 cruises.  A B2B on Nav in Sept which was 5n and 3n but I didn't gamble as much (like 300pt between both cruises) because people kept blowing smoke directly in my face. A S2S with Harmony and Odyssey in Nov 2022 and a S2S with Oasis and Grandeur in Jan 2023. I currently have one cruise booked this year and a S2S in Jan 2024. I was looking to add another as I am 4pts from D+ but $100 off makes me less incline to bother.

I had no winnings on any of the Jan cruises this year but thought the losses were less than the price of my free annual cruise I will get as Prime.

Yea that might be the difference then. They don't treat all Prime the same, I know they use some kind of theoretical loss formula, so you basically averaged 600+ points earned per cruise, while my wife averaged 2k points per cruise even though both are Prime with around 4k points. They deemed my wife to be the bigger gambler thus they're sending her free cruises still instead of dollar off. I'm guessing your bff has a higher average wagered per cruise even though he has overall less points than you.

I was wondering the same thing too. I usually get about 3000 points a cruise and get good room offers on the boat and via email. My wife usually just gets about 750 per cruise and only gets $$ off offers. We are both prime, but it does seem they are more interested in your points per cruise rather than points per year for their offers.

Getting a higher number of points per cruise is a good reason to offer one better offers but this is not the case for us.

Bff's mom plays less than me per spin. She got her 1700 pts on two cruises, 850 on one and the rest on another.

I have gotten 1500pts on one cruise and received an offer on board that was fine. But getting the money off as my "daily" offers is still a bit of a slap in the face......when I am giving them more money 🤣.

Not to rub salt in the wound...but i getter better offers from Celebrity's casino program..and I have only take ONE 3 day cruise with them and maybe gambled...$200.00.

I think this maybe another example of Royal not caring or not having to care as they are selling out at high prices without having to offer freebies and incentives??!

  • 5 months later...

I got 5000+ points on each of my last two cruises, one in March and one in June. My last legitimate  free cruise offer was in Feb ( I received 2 others that only had a couple of sailings listed that were nowhere near me). I used to get offers all the time, now since I started gambling more, nothing.
Both cruises were heavy losses too, so it’s not like I went home with royals money.
I guess I just have to book the one free cruise i earn at a time and not expect anything else.

The entire program has gone downhill. The comps are laughable. I vote they revamp the entire casino program and make it more transparent. Making any type of casino comp reservation is more confusing then it is worthy of the discount. What happened to the generosity of the past when the casino would send a rep to the MDR and offer to buy you a filet & lobster from Chops w/ a bottle of wine?

I am sorely disappointed in Club Royale. I have no offers. None. I made prime for 2024 on one cruise by earning close to 3500pts. My Bff mom has three free cruise offers and she is choice with no points. What is the logic of giving free cruises to someone who doesn't spend enough to be prime? But nothing to those who do.

Zero logic which makes sense for a casino program with no organization or logic. It seems crazy to think the company has the very best loyalty program in the business and cannot use this same layout for the club royale.

Been on 20 RC cruises. Have never made prime, much less been offered so much as a free soda much less a free cruise.

Went on 1 Celebrity 4 night cruise and got a postcard with numerous fee inside cabin options.

Celebrity is very clear on how you earn points for table games, where as RC is very ambiguous.

Not worth worrying about IMO.

I gave up after being told my C&A number was associated with multiple email addresses. They said they would fix it and I received one offer shortly after and then nothing. Was told the same thing about email addresses again 🙄

I had this issue, and it was fixed but I have been receiving mailers for a woman named Shannon to my address with comped offers. I got one today for an interior between Oct and Dec and $25 Freeplay........... well Shannon got one 🙄.
