Western Caribbean  and Central America

Sure, more talking about length and how they're going to do the trade off between Galveston and NOLA. Can't imagine it would be worth their while to trade off more than a couple of times.

Majesty also tacked on CoCo Cay to one of her itineraries in addition to the areas you listed.

I am not a fan of Radiance class, but if it means I can sail out of NOLA I would do it...caveat the ports.   I really would want it to be port heavy instead of multiple sea days.

The other positive for that class is I find people are creature of habit.  Small size ships like that you make friends easier...i.e. Schooner bar for trivia...70s party, Solarium, casino, etc. Bc you all keep showing up at the same time.  Larger ships you have more activities to do, but the negative is they can't go to smaller ports.

Isn't it still the Breakaway out of New Orleans? Might be a tough sell if they're not already committed to RCL.

Yes, that's what we're booked on.  It may be a tough sell.  Personally, I'd prefer a Radiance-class Royal ship. The rooms and balconies on NCL are ridiculously small and it annoys me.

Yet another ship goes to Galveston? As much as I love to see it, how long before that market is oversaturated?

I think there is a long way to go before the market reaches saturation. Galveston no longer just attracts cruisers from Texas and Oklahoma, people from all over the US and Canada are cruising or have future cruises booked out of Galveston.  Cruising in this country is back and from things that I've read demand is higher than ever for cruising  hence one of the reasons why  Royal is redeploying Radiance to New Orleans and Galveston with New Orleans being a port many people wondered if Royal would return to.

Another reason I think cruise lines are focusing on Galveston is there are only so many ships you can fit in PortMiami, Port Everglades, and Port Canaveral on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and to a lesser extent Monday's.  I think the bigger question is, is Galveston (the city) and other cities near Galveston ready for the influx of cruisers that will be boarding these ever larger and larger cruise ships that are coming to Galveston over the next 2 years or so.

I've never been on a Radiance-class ship, but agree wholeheartedly with the NCL criticism. Some of the new 4-5 day itineraries fit into our long weekend schedule, so might try to score one for a weekend away without the kids and give it a go. NOLA is our can-go-on-a whim port after our recent move, so I have a feeling it won't be long!
