ThyriC
I have Pam Richter and she's been awesome to me, asking on my behalf to Royal about some weirdness on their cruise planner, and handling my multiple payments. She has made everything super simple for me and very confident that I'll have a wonderful trip for my hub's first cruise. cs7077
Absolutely crazy...Earlier this morning I was thinking about using a travel agent for our next cruise since it will be our first group cruise and I'd rather have someone else do the heavy lifting for a change. I remembered MEI was recommended over here but didn't really want to take my chances without getting a recommendation for a specific agent. So somebody already asked the question and it was fairly unanimously answered. I think I'll be giving Michelle a call in the near future. So thanks everyone, my work here is done! Mrs. RoyalMoyal
SOOOO... is it better to book on board (it helps with cruise withdrawal) then transfer it to MEI, or just book with MEI to begin with? Either way, I have next year's school and work holiday calendar packed.

And they give you 30days to make changes to the booking, without penalties so its a win/win I think. They yes, transferring it an MEI Agent when you get home is easy to do! thanks for asking and for supporting Matt's blog. When you book onboard it will automatically be assigned to the travel agency you used to book the current cruise you are sailing when you book onboard. If you don't want that to happen and desire to change to MEI then make sure to inform NextCruise of that while booking on board. If your current cruise is booked directly with Royal with no travel agency involved, then you are free to transfer a NextCruise booking at will. I've been told that once a cruise is paid in full it becomes difficult to transfer.

Yes, you are right - If your current cruise you are on is booked with an agency you DO not wish to stay with Just tell the Next Cruise agent you do not want to work with any agency - you just want Royal Caribbean to maintain the booking Then once you are home, you can transfer it to us at MEI-Travel. We are happy to look at any take over cruises for you to take over! Thanks for the support Mrs. RoyalMoyal
JBC1
Hi, I have Kathy Geiger who has been great with a quick response rate. Only just started using a TA wish I had done it years ago. TotalF
Any reason us norwegians couldn't/shouldn"t use an american TA such as MEI? We used a local TA for our first trip on RCCL and I really feel that I could have done a better job researching our cruise.

RBRSKI
I agree, TA are the way to go. I personally think it's the relationship you build with your agent first and then the perks they offer! And from experience these "Perks" may look different from company to company but they all balance out in the end! Neesa
Floski
I've been using Stephanie Hudson with MEI. She's great. Maybe I'll see a free specialty dinner or gratuity thingy! Seriously, she's very patient with me. I keep finding better deals and e-mailing them to her and she picks it up and runs with it. rjweber3 and AnnetteJackson 1

You just have to get a TA who knows all the tricks !! Hey there, In the past we have been able to work some reservations to MEI past the 60 days but at this time Royal is no longer allowing any exceptions to this rule so its really important if you want to work with a travel planner, that you transfer that booking before it has existed for 60 days. AnnetteJackson
Its been a few weeks since I have had time to jump over here to the boards to see what is up - and MAN - this was a great string to read. Thank you all for the shout outs to the team of agents that work on the RCCL Blog team. All of the agents on the team work together to help you all get the best price for your reservations. With as many sales as Royal has, it takes the help of others to make this work. Whether you reach out to one of the agents directly, come to me and ask for a recommendation or submit a request - we are all happy to help you with your travel plans.
