When we can cruise again the industry will need our help, I suggest we all book twice as many cruises as normal just so we can do our part...=)

I'm a hard core conservative, but in this instance, I do think that the government does have some responsibility in regards to the cruise industry.  The auto manufacturers dug their own hole with mismanagement and poor products yet they were "bailed out".  The cruise industry, through no fault of their own, ran into headwinds due to COVID-19, and then willingly suspended operations at the behest of our government in defense of our nations health. 
If that doesn't deserve a helping hand, nothing does.

Royal Gold Margarita

Mine just happened on my last cruise in November. My wife and I went on a cruise in Sept with our birth certificates. After reading how much nicer it is to cruise with a passport I decided to get ours. Mine was easy because I had one in the past. My wife has never had one. I filled out the paperwork and sent her to get her passport. Well I forgot that they kept your birth certificate so when she came home I asked if they gave her the BC back. When she said no I freaked out because it would be cutting it close to our next cruise. We had to expedite a copy of her BC and pay more for something we didn't end up needing. The passport came in time. Lesson learned.

Cell phones.
My travel agency, while waiting on hold to reprice a cruise offered this piece of advice.  
Change your screen saver or lock screen image to be your SetSail Pass or something the cruise line can use to identify you.  That super cool wallpaper that comes with your phone looks great but with a device locked no one from the ship can figure out who owns the most recent lost cell phone.
By using an image on your lock screen that the cruise line can reference if you lose your phone on board you stand a much better chance of getting it returned.   
Makes sense.
When you get home put it back to that super cool default lock screen image but while on board consider something that works to help you getting repatriated with your lost device.

Now you dont say who told you to cruise RC but it wasnt on here so im at a loss as to why you join here to let of steam? 
It's a shame you didnt bother to join here before you cruised because if you had then you would have found the most honest, friendly and helpful bunch of people going, with vast knowledge of all things RC.
So you would have found out everything you needed to know about JOTS.

So if your cruise wasnt up to what you expected thats not RC Blogs fault it's your own for not doing the necessary research before cruising.
