Pooch
Hubby and I are newly Diamond so we get an internet day each correct? How do we access it?
HeWhoWaits
Once onboard, when you go to log in you will purchase a day of internet service (24 hours from the time of purchase). You just have to indicate that you wish to use the Diamond free day. Each of you will get a day, so a pair of 24 hour periods well-planned can get you access during portions of four days. FionaMG
Note that if you buy an Internet package pre-cruise, it "hides" the free D day for each person who has a package. You need to go and see the Internet person to get it "released". teddy and Neesa

Last Lion
So, can the D or D+ internet credit be applied on board to reduce the “Key” benefit package which of course includes internet?

You can use your D or D+ Internet on board as a discount against an internet package but not against the key because the key has to be purchased before you sail and the D/D+ credit can only be used on board. Qeytondude
will add for us it defaulted to the more expensive plan, which gave us a discount, but not free. Second time when activating on the wife's 'fee', we toggled down to basic service and it was indeed free. basic level is fine for email and chat, with a an occasional lag while surfing the internet ( FB, news sites ...) barjpoe
Yeah, be careful that you hit the correct purchase button. I mistakenly hit the surf & ?? that cost $29.99 not the $24.99 which is the free internet. Rogillioville
Pooch
So I do this on the app? In my cruise planner?
Ampurp85
Since there is only one type of plan, now, it will just be the surf and stream. You won't connect in the app. You have to go to login.com and then access the internet and plans from there.

I keep reading this on this forum, but I've tried and they say a free day of internet, or buy the full package with no discount. They will not discount the package for one day of free internet. That's a problem. Royal is inconsistent. One passenger is treated one way, the next passenger is denied.

I was able to do this, you can actually do it on the Login.com website. If I do a shorter sailing, I will get my free internet and then use my Prime internet perk for the remainder of the days. smokeybandit
Connect to ship wifi, and it'll redirect you to a page asking you to buy a plan. If it doesn't do that after connecting, just go to login.com. You'll enter your name and room number, and it'll ask you to set up a username and password. Then it'll ask you which plan you want to buy. You'll pick "24 hours" or whatever it says, and it'll show that you have a credit towards that $29.99 price. Alternatively you could purchase another package and apply that $29.99 to it. Pooch
Neesa
Okay please for the slower section, lol. We three are D+ I usually go ahead and purchase internet on the cruise planner before sailing for me, but 3 devices so we can all access when we need. If I continue to do this, can I visit the wifi desk or LA and be credited to our account for the free days? We are all three D+ but kiddo will be 17, I'm not sure if she even gets this perk. For those who are more familiar with this, would this be correct? Or better still what is the most cost saving way to do this. Thank you so much, I appreciate this, my wallet appreciates this is most importantly Cabash/Vintage Magnet appreciates it!! Have an amazing day! No; if you purchase in the cruise planner your D+ days cannot be credited. However you would still have access to them in addition to your purchased package. So, given that you each get 2 free days (pretty sure kiddo gets them too), you would be able to connect a fourth device on six days during your cruise. The most cost-saving way would be to buy a 2-device package and have the third person use the free days. It doesn't matter who uses them once the person who owns them has redeemed them. On a 7-night cruise, if one of you can manage not being logged in on the very first night then effectively all three of you will have Internet for the whole cruise but only two will be paying for it. You will have to visit the Internet person on board to "unlock" those two days for whoever has the pre-purchased package in their name. I hope I've managed to explain it clearly. Neesa
@FionaMG and @smokeybandit. Wow! Thanks for the explanation. It is much clearer now. twangster
The key to Crown and Anchor Onboard Offers lies in the name... "Onboard". In the olden days when they would supply a Voom code for pre purchased Voom plans it was easy to use the code or not, and then you could use the CAS provided onboard Voom offer. In 2019 they sought to streamline the Voom process and eliminate the need to distribute codes so they tied a pre-purchased Voom plan to a guest's name and cabin number. In the process of streamlining they neglected to include a way to use the CAS onboard offer, or they assumed if someone had pre-purchased a Voom plan they wouldn't need or want to use the CAS onboard offer in addition to having a pre-purchased plan. The result is that each ship and Voom specialist handles this differently and it requires a visit to the Voom service desk to use the CAS onboard Voom offer when you have pre-purchased a full voyage Voom plan. Pooch
I have not purchased internet packages. I should be able to choose the 1 day option for me and then another 1 day option for my husband for days of our choosing correct? And is it a calendar day or 24 hours from activation? Pooch
We are in JS this time so no free internet. We don’t need it so I’d never pay for it but my grandson (who isn’t with us) does better when he talks to daddy (my son who will be) regularly. With the 2 free 24 hour periods, I can get 4 days worth of phone calls. If I use my Verizon travel plan on our Mexico days, I think I can get 2 more for $10. That should cover it and my SWA check in on our last day. It works on Coco Cay?
