Anyone affected by this?   I looks like willing parties could make lemonade from the lemons.

I would probably take the cruise fare back and immediately plan another cruise.

We are booked in a standard outside view and submitted the survey. Our room is on Deck 3 and everyone else we are cruising with ended up on Deck 10 & 11 so we figured we may get the free cruise and the bonus of being moved to a more convenient deck.

If not stuck with flight reservations, it would be easier to retain flexibility.  I've been reading that it's filling to capacity.  Quite the popular destination.

I meant take the deal and get the fare back as part of the deal, then book another cruise.  Sorry I wasn't clear on that.

Oh yeah...I'd be sailing on that cruise for free and looking right into another one!

Maybe it's time to implement a Royal DOWN program where Royal makes bids to get you to downgrade your cabin.

WOW. I would definitely take the interior room option if I was on that cruise! Sucks to not get your desired room but essentially free cruise? Sign me up!

I am on this cruise; I hope its not chaos aboard if its over capacity. I have a drink/dining package that need to get worn out. I hope cruise isnt like stepping on an ant mound

I'm trying to figure out how they managed to oversell the same cabins but then I remembered we are talking about Royal Caribbean and their technology challenges.  

The company refuses to recognize that investing in IT can save money.  This is an example how not investing in IT can cost money.

I wouldn't take the offer.  My ocean view balcony is part of the cruise experience for me.  I don't pick the GTY room, either.  I would not like my vacation as much in the inside cabin .  I'm cruising Wonder in January, so I just looked to see if there are cabins still being sold for this cruise, which there are, but at about triple the price I paid for my ocean view balcony!

You wouldn't just suck it up this one, free, trip and use the refund to get a whole new trip booked in a balcony?

No, I wouldn't.  we have a lot of kids and don't get a lot of vacation time.  We need to make the vacations we get count.
