12thman
Could someone explain how you go from choice to prime in one seven night cruise and get offered ocean view or balcony room? If you don't want the free cruise, you can apply $1,000 to any cruise and also get whatever promotions are running at the time? The list for free cruise goes from April 2024 to March 2025, which includes all the newest ships, including Utopia and Icon? There's also a promotion. If you bought a book later certificate, you would get $500 free play on that cruise. I watched Matt's video about this but I'm still confused. I don't think I spent that much or played that long. If someone who really understands how this works could explain how I got this. I've never received an offer like this and spent the same as before. Thanks in advance! F1guynz
For slot machines you get 1 point for every $5 wagered and you need 2500 points to advance from choice to prime. The points will reset on the 1st April and then points earned after that will accumulate until March 31st. You can reach prime anytime during that time and it will remain valid for the rest of the cycle. On March 31st the points will reset again but you will remain prime until the points reset again the following year. By my calculations you would need to cycle through $12,500 over the duration of a 7 night cruise on slot machines to reach Prime. Table game points are far more complicated and seem to earn at a much lower rate. Points for tables are based on average bet and time spent in the casino. Even if you ask the casino host they will not give a definitive answer on earn rates. i have never got to prime so I will leave to others to chime in on this. 12thman
@F1guynz there's no way I spent that kind of money. I set a budget and it's a fraction of what you said. I understand how to get to prime. What I don't understand is how your cabin and trade in value is determined? I spent the same as I did in the past but never "earned" a cabin or trade in value like this before. I'm hoping someone who understands this better can explain how you get these "rewards". I appreciate your input though.
Matt
To get to prime in one cruise, you need to get 2500 points. At the casino host desk is a bunch of QR codes that correlate to how many points youve earned just on that sailing. You can see at each point threshold (1200, 1800, 2500, et al) which sailings you could book. So you could preview this before ever spending a dollar on the ship. New ships are usually excluded. Pattycruise
As @F1guynz explained, you earn one point for each $5 you play its $5 of your money, or your wins(credits) on the slot machine sounds like you had a lot more play time for your money, therefore you earned a higher instant cruise certificate which comes with better cabin categories and has a higher trade in value. Additionally the list of cruises is longer for those certs than they would be for the lower point certificates. hosts now have the QR codes on their desk along with the list of points needed for each category of certificate

Ampurp85
OK I will give you how it works for me. I love to gamble but I never spend more than I would on a cruise. Now they have the QR codes. So at the beginning of the cruise I look at that list. It has offers of instant certificates which if you book at NC gets extra freeplay. I believe they go up to 10k, usually at 3k you get balcony and at 5k you can get some JS offers. Since I do S2S, I keep it at the 2k point or less threshold which will net me between $150-250 freeplay, an interior/ov/balcony and the NC OBC. Each of the certificates has a trade in value. In Jan on Wonder I spent $1130 to get a little over 2k points, I can usually do better but the machines were somewhat tight. However I scored a 4n freedom sailing in an OV with $25 OBC and $150 freeplay. I had already made prime and wanted this particular cruise to add on to comp offers I received from casino royale through the mail/online. Since I was going to gamble anyway, even if i don't minus what I was going to play and factor in the freeplay. I got a 4n cruise or about $700pp, which is less than the going price for that cruise. I only play slots. Since you win, you can cycle through the winnings to get points. As I said I enjoy gambling, I don't go in thinking I'm going to hit big, it would be nice, but it's entertaining for me. Getting the casino comps are a trade off. JustMeJoe
4 hours ago, 12thman said: Do you only get 1 free cruise a year? Free is relative (you pay for taxes, port fees, gratuities, any other add-ons you might want). You could receive more than one "free" cruises; depending on how much you play, you might get Instant Rewards for a "free cruise". For instance, so far this year, my wife and I have gotten offers, Instant Rewards (1 for each of us) for casino comp 2402A06 (look up this certificate # on the website @Pattycruise gave you to get an idea of the offer). Our TA booked these 2 offers for us on Brilliance, 14 nights B2B for total $1,032 (taxes....). Not bad huh. The year is young, we may get more offers; we cruise frequently. In addition, we have received Instant Rewards for "dollar off offers" totaling $1,675 this year (2023-2024). These offers may be delivered to your cabin via paper copy, or just pop up on the clubroyaleoffers.com website as they tally how much you've spent in the Casino. I ask our TA to find a cruise to use these on, and she takes care of it. BTW, only one offer can be applied per booking. Check the website while you're cruising! Also, these offers have a expiration date, so check them before they expire. We will also receive our annual Prime offers in April. That's 2 more "free" cruises - one for each of us this year for being Prime members. Hope to get some good ones! 4 hours ago, 12thman said: I'm doing another cruise in October Tip: Take 5-10 minutes and speak with the Casino Host onboard your next cruise. Only one offer of your own can be applied to one booking. ex. I sailed for 2 different weeks in February. I earned an instant certificate on each cruise. They each begin 2402C##. I cannot use both offers on the same cruise. however for March I sailed with the husband, who also gambled. We each earned an instant onboard certificate, mine for a free cruise, his for $ off. I purchased one next cruise booking reservation and called casino royale to do my booking. I inquired about adding hubby’s $ off certificate and we were each able to use our certificate on my free cruise. His $ off was added and helped cover an upgrade as well as port fees and taxes. My offer was an ocean view, and with his $300 off we moved to a balcony GTY (guarantee)-Royal will assign me a random balcony and I owed a $23. My OBC from next cruise went from $50 for ocean view to $100 OBC. because I moved into a balcony. 12thman and JustMeJoe 1
WAAAYTOOO
There are 3 ways to get a “free “ cruise in the casino. 1. Earn at least 1500 points on any cruise. This is called an “Instant” reward. These are the cruises listed in the QR codes found in the casino. The level of the offer depends on your level of play and your losses. You can earn an instant reward every time you cruise if you earn the points required. Certificates earned on the same cruise can be combined (see @Pattycruise comment above). 2. Earn 2500 points over a 1-year period from 1 April of one year through 31 March of the following year. This is a tier level (Prime) reward. You can claim this free cruise any time after ~15 April…or when the new casino year starts. Each tier level player gets 1 of these per casino year. 3. A random offer that comes through the mail, email or on clubroyaleoffers.com. These rewards are called “Monthlies”. Monthly offers are based solely on the level of play and losses from your most recent cruise. #1 also has some bizarre sub-categories that can be very confusing. For instance, if you earn a certificate for less than 1500 points, sometimes there is a complimentary offer associated with it but in order to use it for a complimentary cruise, you must have purchased a Next Cruise Open Booking. Without the NCOB you will only receive the $$$off associated with the certificate. Also, ANY instant reward comp cruise, regardless of its value, requires a NCOB in order to receive the “free play” bonus associated with it. No NCOB, no free play. Clear as mud ? Yea, me too. Obdave
As a newly minted prime I’m wondering about the April offer. Are the number of rooms on each sailing limited? Is there a mad rush to book in the first week after the offers come out? Are choices limited if one waits a couple of months to book their prime cruise? I waited almost a full month to book my instant cruise credit from feb. 1 and ended up with a balcony in the bow on brilliance out of New Orleans next January, few rooms were available to choose from. I’m assuming casino comp rooms for instant certificates are limited, does the same apply for the prime cruises? TYIA
WAAAYTOOO
Congratulations on getting to Prime. It’s an important hurdle. Yes, the number of casino comp rooms are limited. Nobody really knows (intentionally) how many rooms of any cabin type are a available on any particular sailing so it’s anybody’s guess. Yes, everyone will be trying to book as soon as the comp cruises are made available (usually around 4-15 but can be any time after 4-1) so booking ASAP is wise. Yes, available casino comp rooms will become harder to get the longer you wait. Casino comp rooms will be very limited (assuming, based on previous experience) on the newer ships….for instance, Icon will be eligible for casino comps sailing after 1-27-25 so everyone and their brother will be trying to book an Icon comp for Feb-Mar 2025. My guess is that very few cabins will be available for casino comps on those sailings to begin with and they will go quickly. Maybe Royal will block casino comps from Icon entirely but if they do, that would a dick move. I hope they don’t.
