It's their bento bag (why the f* they'd name it after a lunch box is beyond me ), and I too have been mulling over whether to pull the trigger with a pre-Black Friday sale or just wait until ACTUAL Black Friday. Hmm...decisions, decisions. Those trunks are $$$$$ though, I've looked at both Away's and Monos's (Monos'? Monoss'? M'o'n'o's'?). Super nice. Quote

We, and when i say we, i mean me because Batman is his usually clueless self, have been stalking the CP for sales as we are on Odyssey in January. asquared17 Posted November 9, 2024 Author Report Posted November 9, 2024 BEZOS RECOMMENDATIONS what would a trip of mine be if i didn't share some of the fun things we'll be taking along? some of these are past purchases that continue to make the cut, some are new. also i would like to add that i do not get anything if you click these links but it would sure be nice if i figured out how to do that QBC plex obviously i am not a doctor - so please check with yours before adding anything new to your rotation - but these are GREAT. if i could recco one supplement for everyone esp this time of year, this would be it! i have been taking this for years - i take about 2-3 in the morning and 2-3 for my night supplements. they are great for keeping sinuses clear/happy. i also take a round when i fly (or more depending on how long the flight is) to keep my immune system strong. nodpod weighted eye mask THIS HAS CHANGED MY LIFE. i now use this at home every single night and i sleep like the dead. originally i thought it wouldn't stay put (false) or that i wouldn't like the light weight on my head (also extremely false). if i had to select a single downside of this mask it's that for the first time in my entire life, i have to curl my eyelashes because it does flatten them out a bit but that's a small price to pay for a solid night's sleep. i like this mask SO much better than the ones that go around your entire head because it doesn't hurt or compress anywhere. and since i sleep on both my back and my side, this stays on beautifully. for prime day, i was able to grab one for my travel bag and i have never once looked back. it blocks light, calms you down, makes you sleep like a baby. 15/10 DO RECOMMEND!! cup clip ah where would we be without our beloved cup clip????? CUP CLIP CLUB UNITE!!!!! this was a dark horse of a purchase last year? the year before? and at first i thought it was silly and then i discovered just how useful it could really be... wall magnets every good cruiser worth their salt knows about wall magnets and how useful they can be. i have the hook style as well, which we use to hang up bags, lightweight purses, swim wear and coverups outside to dry, etc. the non hook version like these are great to tack up contact info for the crew, paperwork about shows, any communication that you receive onboard the ship, luggage tags and departure information, excursion paperwork, etc. would not cruise without them!! compression travel cubes i know, i know. i just said i wanted these like yesterday but there was a lightning deal so i snagged them before it ran out. there are a couple different versions but i grabbed the set of six square mesh. i wanted a little window to see what was in each cube since my existing (non compression) cubes are see-through and i am not great memory wise -- if i can't see it, i don't remember what's inside i'm a big believer in making it easy. a slightly more affordable version that i was also looking into were THESE. arnica arnica is great in any form (cream, gel, tiny homeopathic pellets) if you experience soreness, bruising, or muscle fatigue. i used it when i fell down the stairs on harmony last year and it was GREAT. (not the falling down stairs, of course. just the way it sped up my recovery.) i'm not linking any specific kind here because you can get whatever you feel comfortable with but i do recommend taking some whenever you travel. (or workout, or find yourself hiking for parts unknown.... unexpectedly... ) carabiner i know i'm not re-inventing the wheel here, but i just came back from ireland last week and used one of these to clip my refillable water bottle to the outside of my carryon. GAME CHANGER. no longer did it take up space in my bags, but i was able to have delicious cold water throughout my travels. obviously it needs to be EMPTY when going through TSA/security but you're all set post-checkpoint. i'll never pack my water bottle again!! you can use any brand, but i linked the coleman set because they were a good price point and sturdy. there are tons of options though. microfiber towel even though i chopped off my hair last month (around 8-9 inches and was able to make two donations!!), i still find that a microfiber towel is the best way to dry this mane. J also uses a microfiber towel; hers is more "fuzzy"/furry (if that makes sense? -- i personally think this kind dries faster but either way, it helps cut down on the drying time and the frizz factor if your hair has texture. vitamin organizers in TRUE pre-vintage fashion, i have streamlined my supplement routine! you guys will be so proud. this set is great if you don't have any larger pills/your routine is pretty limited. i use this for my morning supplements. i use this organizer for my nighttime routine since there are more vitamins in the lineup and some of them are bigger. weighted blanket so i originally purchased the gravity travel weighted blanket. it's 10lbs and comes with a nice carrier to keep it compact in your bags. and i do like it. however, the fabric is kind of shiny and causes the blanket to slide around during the night (even if you are not a restless sleeper). so i've since grabbed this one instead; it's only two pounds more (you won't see me complaining) and the size is around the same. i think i will be able to fit it in the gravity sleeve for travel and have high hopes it will not move around as much! the navy 40x60 was around $24 if you're prime - by contrast i think the gravity travel blanket was upwards of $35 at at the time of purchase. sleep gummies these are PHENOM! i take two of these every night before bed. they are GREAT!! (clearly i do not mess around when it comes time for sleeping. i am that meme about people needing 34957823094 things to sleep well ) there was something else i was thinking of but it's escaping me now... anyway, happy saturday and may the odds be ever in your favor with black friday sales!! asquared17 Posted November 9, 2024 Author Report Posted November 9, 2024 honorable mentions: charcoal pills you know i love these for an overindulgent dinner or too much booze. just remember to take WELL before you need to have your supplements or other medication otherwise the charcoal will absorb (as intended) before you can get the benefits. towel clips waterboy hydration multipliers great if you're in the sun, if you're drinking, when you are flying (because.... dehydration) or if you're just a little bit not yourself. i will throw a packet into my reusable water bottle once i clear security and sip throughout the flight. i MUCH prefer these to liquid IV - they aren't as sweet, and while they're a little saltier, i never have trouble finishing them up. you can purchase from bezos or WB directly; i am told target has these as well! lemon ginger is my favorite, with lemon lime being a close runner up. i've also tried (and loved) blue raspberry and strawberry lemonade. Congrats on the great deal getting greater! I'm sure you know my deal by now... perfectly happy sailing frugally but was treated to a GS twice (1st one on Harmony in fact) and loved the perks (I'll still never care a ton about my cabin but that's just me... plus it was "only" a GS). It was a totally different experience. I obviously still enjoy my frugal routine but aside from sticking with extended family b/c they were there, I made sure to take advantage of all Sky Class offers since I knew it would be a rare occurrence for us. Highly recommend Coastal Kitchen (while avoiding the MDR) and making use of the SL for happy hour and included 11-11 beverages. Our family also enjoyed the included cabanas/casitas/whatever you want to call them on the suite sun deck on Harmony for lounging. Enjoy! ScottD, PPPJJ-GCVAB, LandstromCruise and 3 others 6 Quote
asquared17 Posted November 18, 2024 Author Report Posted November 18, 2024 20 DAYS OUT i have really failed you all because the weighted blanket was a mere 10lbs. and, as @GregD accurately called it -- those are rookie numbers. so i swapped it for a 15 pounder, weight limits be damned. GREAT NEWS! away luggage kicked off their sale TODAY. 25% off EVERYTHING!! (although, if anyone needs a coupon code let me know - i do actually have a referral link for i think it's $40 off?) i grabbed the trunk! it was an investment and i know there have been some mixed reviews about it, but i am pretty confident i will do okay with the size - it will hold more than my actual large suitcase (traditional clamshell style) and i will likely be bringing my medium suitcase as well. am i packing the way @Ampurp85's vintages do? ... probably. do i care? N O P E CAUSE WE ARE IN A CLS WITH TONS OF STORAGE!!!!!! also we are flying in two days before the cruise, which should hopefully allow us some time to get into vacation mode a lot quicker with a full day at the beach on saturday, instead of our normally tight turn around flying in on saturday afternoon. let's hope the weather holds. i plan to give a full review on our stay once we've been there so stay tuned for details on that!!
