I couldn't tell if that chicken was a rescue, if it was supposed to look like that, or if it was getting bullied in the yard My daughter is not a girly girl at all. Although she does really enjoy traditional "feminine" hobbies - she bakes, crafts, plays music, does sewing projects, etc. She hardly ever wears makeup, rarely wears a dress, and is an introverted homebody and a really good student. My husband says she's an old soul. She goes to bed early and gets up early. I talk a lot about my son because he and I tend to gravitate to each other naturally and my husband and daughter gravitate to each other naturally more often (although obviously we all love each other equally!). jbrinkm
Another super busy day. Summary here, then I'll try to come back with more detail tomorrow during a sea day. We did our two tank dive in Curacao. Saw four giant turtles, so many fish and I'm pretty sure I saw a small shark, swimming away from us thankfully. We'll again have pics from the Go Pro and the guide said he'd email some. Got back a little later than expected and needed lunch so I had my first EVER El Loco Fresh! And yes, I mixed the Cholula Chipotle into the guac which gave it a nice kick & better flavor BUT I still couldn't get past the texture (same reason I can't eat mushrooms). Best part- there was NO LINE. Every day, the line is back to/past the ice cream machines, but not today during a port day. After we ate & showered, we still had an hour and a half until dinner (and two until all aboard) so we walked over the Queen Emma Bridge to Orobanda and tried to go to the Nena Sanchez gallery but it had closed already. The area is so cute and was worth the walk! Then a quick dinner in the MDR. I found my lemon tart to be perfect. I've seen a few others comment that it wasn't lemony enough or was too lemony, but I felt they found the right balance with the one I had Then we went to our rescheduled pickleball lesson which was fantastic. I actually understand how to play the game now! However, my mom got a bad blister on her toe yesterday which is causing pain so she "audited" the class (she sat & watched). Then we had a little down time so popped up to the WJ and enjoyed the crepe station. This was a HIGH energy burning day with all of our activities. I went there looking for a ranger cookie but I haven't seen them since day 1, and I've been looking! Then we had laser tag which was really fun. Surprisingly fun. Good vest devices, great set up, fun people. Now we're on balcony, enjoying the cooler weather and looking at the moon. Ampurp85
Your daughter and I sound a lot alike. I am not a "girly" woman. I don't wear makeup, heels, perfume or jewelry. I do love a good dress as long as it has pockets, but I rock them with berks or knockoff berks. I feel like it always works that way: when I want ranger cookies, I can't find them and there is only chocolate chip, when I want chocolate chip there is mainly ranger. There is always oatmeal and I never want those. Cactus527, MaryS, Neesa and 5 others 1

ScottD
I was also pleasantly surprised at how fun the laser tag was! I wish we had signed up to do it earlier so we could try to squeeze it in again. My son claims his team got beat so bad because he didn't realize he had to hold the gun with both hands to shoot...but it's really because I was on the opposite team and literally lit him up at every chance. It's just bad on every level... and you know I'm not very critical of my food, lol. I use the Cholula on my tacos and quesadillas. FYI, that's not the chipotle flavor bottle next to your plate in the pic. That one says green pepper. Chipotle says chipotle on it. I love the huge ELF on Wonder so much (and attached tequila bar that makes the same pineapple jalapeno one that you get at Playmakers). Now that I have extra vouchers to kill off I'll have to try some of the flavored frozen ones to take back to the Solarium. I'm sure they're weak but I'm not there to get drunk, as long as they taste good. PPPJJ-GCVAB

jbrinkm
My daughter found me ranger cookies in the WJ at lunch and brought them I'm so happy! My day 7 little magnet people I'm so happy to see this divider. We had a bad situation last year (or two years ago?) where there was a long line out to the side and then others kept walking up directly straight and cutting in front of everyone. I'm glad if they are going to allow 2 lines, that it is marked where to stand for each thing. My son wants a new pair of Ray Bans. He found an abandoned pair last year (not on cruise) and likes them quite a bit. He worked all last summer and has that money saved. He's been looking on the ship, trying different models on, and I think decided to wait until we're home, but I told him he should get these: Lovetocruise2002, MaryS, Sweety and 7 others 4
jbrinkm
Our cabin attendant is Frank (I keep privately pronouncing it like the wedding planner from Father of the Bride, even though he is nothing like the character). He is fantastic. I could see him moving up to suites if he stays on. We clip our curtains at night to keep it dark, and he started doing it for us when he makes up the room. And we've put the kids in charge of hiding most of the ducks (not yours @DoomSlayer) so they were in their room, and he did this: JohnK6404, asquared17, Ampurp85 and 7 others 6
jbrinkm
We're going to go early to Flight tonight to get good seats so I'm hoping to backtrack a little we're sitting there tonight with more details about Aruba & Curacao. We've seen the Stowaway Piano player twice more, once when we were coming out of laser tag, and moving his piano during Zumba. This is my son's favorite artwork on Symphony. Some random pics at Schooner (we showed up for selfie scavenger hunt, picked up a paper, looked at the list, put it back and left. Just too much running around.), at Zumba, at the Ultimate Abyss (Ricardo was working there - he led our pickleball last night - and chatted for a while while we waited for more mats), interactive art and a few more from Wonderland & Butterfly Garden. Ampurp85
First thanks for the compliment @jbrinkm I feel like your children are already wonderful. So, I have no doubt that they both will turnout great I love that you have the confidence to do Zumba, I lack the rhythm I should have naturally been born with. jbrinkm
I really enjoyed Flight. There were some parts of the story line that were a little corny but the overall theme, the songs and the special effects were great, IMHO. @PPPJJ-GCVAB we were on the main level, on the aisle, about 3/4 of the way back and really loved the POV from there. If we were further forward and more in the middle, it would also have been cool with more events directly overhead but maybe not able to see the full finale quite as well, so there's a trade off. Get there early! We were there 40 minutes before the show and where we sat were the best seats available. And it was Dress Your Best so a lot of people were doing pictures and some were still eating. My cup clip came with to the theater: This isn't a great picture with the lights, but shows (kind of) where we were sitting. jbrinkm
This red velvet cake was delicious! The MDR chef is French so I'm wondering if that makes any difference with the pastries?
