Ampurp85
Yes, I noticed that it is most of the casino folk. I stopped going after 7, because I feel like they get Loosier......we shall see what Allure brings. I forgot to mention my room is on the second floor looking directly over the stairs. I can hear everything. I sleep with a fan that should drown out the night noise. My shuttle is booked, and my new room tag is on my luggage. Ampurp85
It is cruise day. I am praying Allure is chill AF as the youths say. I was telling my grandmother that I rarely get hit on at home....probably since I mostly work from home and only go into the office twice a month. BUT all bets are off on a cruise apparently . I will try to get pictures of the hotel breakfast for those staying here in the future. Ampurp85
I forgot to mention the ducks!!! I saw so many cool ducks and everyone who found them were extremely excited to do so. However I was shocked by the quarter ducks. This lady got them before I could get a picture. But they were about the size of a quarter . I had stepped on one and brought it in the elevator with me. The lady was beyond thirsty for it, she screamed when she saw it. There was Wonder ducks. Someone made them to say the ship and sail date. These are the ones the children went crazy for, we saw them in Central Park when we ate outside at Giovanni's. The best ducks were the ones on deck 15. This person had marvel/Disney ducks. They were adorable but I didn't want to take photos of the children. asquared17, MaryS, Neesa and 3 others 2

Neesa
Quarter ducks! I love them, so darn cute. I purchased them and hid them on the Wonder as well. Ampurp85
@asquared17I am at the champagne bar, waiting on my prosecco. Slight shenanigans, a man took his shoes off and his wife yelled they smelled so put them back on. The ship is already popping. Ampurp85
Okay so I really miss the touchless bathrooms on Wonder . There are so many tiny humans for a weekday sailing. I should get a block this sailing and I will have to swap my amenity because I don't drink sharaz. I am happy to have an aft room on deck 14. But a couple of things I forgot to mention. In the app when you want to do the free D+ voom it's only one day or full voyage. There used to be the option for 2 days. So you can do the one day blocks or full voyage with your discount. I hope to do as I've done in the past and also get my prime discount on the balance. The internet link on the app is "broken " it takes you to purchase but get lost. If you go through your profile it takes you to the Cafe. You still have to book any special dining at a kiosk or restaurant. Regardless of package or not. Ampurp85
I may have mentioned the tiny smalls but wow are there a lot. I'm at Giovanni's for lunch and only maybe 4 out of the 20ish tables are childless. Most are well behaved but the family behind me doesn't understand inside voices and is screaming about getting an iPhone 16. It is almost completely full, which I have yet to see, so good for the crew........which look how I remember them. Everyone is smiling and cracking jokes. The guy who sat me asked if I was single and could he join. My server Jenhy is smiling ear to ear. Two of the servers we had in October stopped by to say hi and where's the family. I may have to amend my stance. The food at Giovanni's kitchen wasn't great on Wonder but it has been amazing on Giovanni's Table on Allure. I got the minestrone, garlicky prawns and a small bolognese. Everything was hot and seasoned perfectly. Also the soup was great, I've never had a good minestrone, that wasn't made by my brother. To eat like he does, he has to be able to cook. This one was tasty, I could have made a meal of the soup. They have olive and plain ciabatta bread along with cheese breadsicks. They will make pizza bites for tiny ones. A family from Wonder is also on this sailing and offered me to sit with them and wear pink on Thursday. I said thanks but no thanks to lunch with tiny smalls I got pastachio and vanilla ice cream for dessert. They served my Moscato in a dirty glass. I requested a new one. Jenhy was prompt. I only ate in the MDR once on Allure way back in 2021, I'm hoping the food is as decent as it was on the Mariner. Ampurp85
There was no announcement that the rooms were ready but since my lunch was over about 1:15. I headed up there anyway. So maybe this is a new thing but my cabin door was wide open.....so were all the rooms not yet occupied. The luggage person was just bringing my luggage too. My amenities were there and my card on the back of the door as usual. Room and shower seems smaller than on Wonder but about the same as Mariner. Got another non-smoking casino invite. I will go since the ice show is right across. I'm gonna unpack and possibly take a nap. asquared17, JohnK6404, MaryS and 10 others
Ampurp85
Well I napped about an hour. And then I made some calls, the wifi is okay. I walked the flights to the Crown Lounge and had a snack. I was hoping to get hot chocolate for the ice show but they didn't have any. I went to the draw in the non-smoking casino. I played $50 of my freeplay and won nothing. I went to my favorite machine in the big casino and spent the other $200 and won $5. I have won off of freeplay before, so the machines are just not good today. Currently I am sitting in reserved seating at Blades, waiting for the show to start, then dinner and after dinner I have AquaAria. Ampurp85
So what can I say......I have been spoiled by Wonder. The specialty dining might have mostly sucked but all the shows were amazing. Blades is semi boring. The song choices are dated. The staff is amazing. But Wonder's ice show was the first one were nobody fell or made mistakes. Blades has a vintage skater. I mean he is probably just in 40s but he stands out as not being as impressive or more impressive.....which means I was laser focused on him and how often he was brought out for a routine.....which wasn't often. But he was still talented AF. I walked through a popping casino to get to my 8pm MTD reservation. They have a system of they take your room and have you wait in the lobby, there's a bar there too. Dinner was fast and mostly meh. My food was hot and okay but I'm not a fan of welcome aboard. But I was sat between a lady and her 7ft grandson who inhaled two prime ribs in 2min and a sad lady. Basically she lost $5k in the casino, which included her mortgage. Her sister/friend/aunt/mother was drunk and kept asking why they can't go to the casino. I went to the WJ because they had donuts. Right now I am deciding if I want to go to the Aqua show tonight or get some sleep. Ooooh I got in an elevator that had a screen malfunction OCSC Mike, Neesa, PPPJJ-GCVAB and 6 others

Cactus527
I liked Blades, but then I've not been on Wonder yet. Your MDR experience reminds me of why I always request to sit alone when solo cruising, or I just skip it and go to the WJ or elsewhere. Ampurp85
I use the term vintage to mean a person older than 55 aging like wine. But in the case of the ice skater it was a joke. Ampurp85
The weather seems nice. I went to the WJ and it's pure chaos. I only got fresh items I saw them putting out because the tiny humans are filthy. Interesting. We met our attendant on embarkation day on Allure in October. As laid back as I am, I'm OCD and hang up all my shirts (even t-shirts, not stylish ones like your brother's). One of the only requests we make is for more hangers. Oh well, I'll either double up until we see our attendant or try the phone.
