I assume you were smart and got it fixed while on board? So far it has been extremely difficult to get in contact with Royal to fix this from home. An email I sent over a week ago hasn’t yet been answered. It took me about ten calls to finally get someone on the line (disconnected or hung up on the first nine), and even when I got someone, it took over 20 minutes to get where I am now, still waiting on a resolution that I’m guessing may never come.
It’s a shame as it was otherwise a great cruise. Just leaves a bad taste in my mouth until it’s fixed.
Good luck. Hopefully they make it right. I bet they will.

I have had a few issues with bad charges. Last cruise, we were charged for a drink at Coco Cay even though I had the drink package. It was easily fixed but it definitley pays to watch your on board charges closely throughout the cruise.
I find the account feature on the app really nice as it post charges quickly. I usually check it every morning while eating breakfast. Mistakes can happen.

I was scheduled on an Independence of the Seas cruise in August out of Ft Lauderdale, that got shifted to Odyssey when Independence moved to Galveston.
Today, I realized my Dec 3 day cruise out of Orlando is also on Independence. Does anyone know if/when Independence is coming back to Florida?
Thanks
We are on the first sailing out of Port Canaveral on 11/1 - Looks like she is leaving Galveston on 10/29.

I cannot get into any of my Cruise Planners online. I get the "Sorry for the Interruption" error. Big PITA.
Did you try incognito or private mode? That is the only way I can get in these days. Crazy

I'm having trouble getting into my Cruise Planner.
I'm getting message
"Sorry for the interruption
Cruise Planner is temporarily unavailable for the reservation you selected. Please wait at least 15 minutes, and then try again."
Well, I've wait a day and still the same message.
and when I select another res. get the same
Try using incognito or private mode. I am able to get in that way.

I have used travelinsurance.com before and like the option to choose what coverage and price. They compare several companies and rates them.

new here what does MEI
mean?
It’s the travel agency some of us use on this site. Several of their agents participate on the boards.

Another option other than Uber or Lyft might be super shuttle:

I have been searching on the RCCL website and have been unable to locate my invoice. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Sailing on Symphony in October and want to make sure everything is okay. Final payment is within 2 weeks. Thanks
If you booked with a travel agent, they can email it to you. If you booked directly with Royal, you have to call or email them.

Normally
Solo in a studio cabin get 1 x points.
Solo is a double occupancy cabin get 2 x points.
Solo in any level of suite get 3 x points.
With the current double points promo
Solo in a studio cabin get 2 x points.
Solo is a double occupancy cabin get 4 x points.
Solo in any level of suite get 6 x points.
The above applies to all ships in the fleet.
Perfect. Thanks for clarifying - I meant to say solo studio not suite but this helps.
-
Does anyone know if you get double C & A points if you book a solo suite on the newer ships or do you only get double points for booking a regular room.
-
Make sure they have the same discounts, if applicable, like c&a or residence, etc that maybe you entered. The rates should be close if not the same.

Mariner is a great ship. Don’t miss the late night comedy show and the love and marriage show. They are always fun!

Every Deluxe drink package I’ve seen advertised lately is the same - $58. Anyone think that maybe it won’t get any lower than that?
Not sure when your cruise is but in the past, pre-covid, I found Black Friday sales generally to have the best drink package sale. My November cruise was $67 but was able to get it for $58 with the 4th of July sale.

Thank you! So with no prices listed, is it a cover charge venue? And how does that work?
Sorry that I do not know. I think it is one of @Mattfavorite, maybe he can answer.

From Royal Caribbean site https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/menus/sabor-menu-sample.pdf

Also check out https://www.travelinsurance.com. It compares companies and has reasonable rates as well as complete coverages. Good luck!

Some of the newer ships have solo studios that are not as expensive as double occupancy rates. I think you can search this blog for threads on it.
